Make Sparkling Galaxy Bath Bombs for a Starry Explosion!

Make DIY GALAXY Bath Bombs!! SPARKLING STARRY EXPLOSION! Learn how to make stunning & sparkling galaxy bath bombs! The real prize is the water the bomb leaves behind. It’s literally like gazing at a galaxy; very real-like! I am a huge nerd when it comes to galactic or universal-themed shows. So, I really enjoyed this project! *** Look up galaxy photos; they’re stunning to look at and provide color palette options (plus, an endless amount of inspiration for this project).
RECIPE: 2 cups (500 grams) baking soda, 1 cup (200 grams) citric acid, 1/2 cup (60 grams) corn starch + 20 milliliters fragrance oil, 15 milliliters polysorbate 80, 5 milliliters coco betaine. Mix all ingredients together then divide into 2; 1 for base mix & 1 for neon mix. Add 1 teaspoon sodium lauryl sulfoacetate to the neon mix (this will make it more "foamy" in the water). Dry 24 hours! NOTE: This recipe has more wet ingredients because I added a LOT of color powder. *** The more color powder that's added, the more poly 80 is needed. MOLDING: To begin, sprinkle star dust in the mold, then shake to evenly coat the molds.. Do this carefully & very slowly, as not to disturb the mica particles (making them airborne) then inhaling it. EMBELLISHING: Fill center with more glitter, mica, & stars for a galactic-star explosion in the water (don't overfill- may make bomb weak). Use a Glitter Dispenser to embellish exterior (do this right after making bomb in a small, enclosed area to reduce airborne particles). RESULTS: The galaxy bath bomb transformed my tub water into a spiral armed-spinning galaxy! I felt like I had a front row seat looking in from the outside at our majestic milky way… I enjoyed this bomb very much & will definitely be making more!!!! Happy galactic bomb making!!
