I do agree with the comment that said if someone uses the wood for a fire they should replace but perhaps they did not have a means to make more. At least the shelter granted them some comfort hopefully.

Thats an unwritten rule. Use the dugout leave wood. Apparently they done care about anyone but themselves. Need to make something to sit on. Like the way you take old firewood an make something. Idk what you do for a living but you have carpenter skills.
