This is one of the songs which begins to take New Order in a decidedly more electronic and dance music route for the next decade. The other similar sounding songs are Everything's Gone Green and Temptation. From there came Power, Corruption, and Lies and Blue Monday.

The flashing lights would trigger Ian Curtis's epileptic fits, they always used static spots...this continued for a while after Ian died apparently.

they often had blue lights which threw off the color coded sequencing sheets Bernard and Stephen would work on for the synthesizers, i read.

+Shaina Karasik I read one of the roadies was color blind and would not plug the cords into the right spots

If this should be still of interest: Not sure as it is too dark to see the bass Peter Hook plays - I read on their first US tour (rescheduled by some months after Ian Curtis death May 1981) their gear has been stolen. They tried to replace it, but the only six string "bass" the shop had was a baritone guitar (which is a fifth off tune compared to the six string bass Hook was used to). Sounds like the very fifth Peter Hook is off with at the start...
