The prediction at 22:12 is marvelous! Viper is really the modern Genghis Khan, raid enemy's villages, hit & run those European knights to dead, and force those helpless seigniors to resign
@@razahrtelvanni2018 I think the Northern European Plain would have let Mongols pretty much waltz through much of France and Holy Roman Empire, but the Mongols were probably never gonna conquer southern Europe.
They added a initial delay on firing arrows. They used to fire instantly when you clicked on an enemy, now there is a small time it takes before they fire an arrow.
I understand that in these situations your mind is forward and on rebuilding your vill count when things go south. But why do you never see pros task a single villager to pull out some stone walls in such a situation? Wouldn't it just make their mind a little bit more free? They have fire delay now. That means if you switch targets they need time to string their bows like CAs. So no more hit and run pala to death. You need to meat shield and patrol.
@@majungasaurusaaaa no they don't, they still fire a lot faster than heavy cav archers, just slower than old Elite Mangudai. Hit and run still more comfortable than Heavy cav archers.
Probably not. Pretty much trying to storm with paladins before running out of gold was the best MbL could do with Franks. Given to how paladins melted under mass Mangudai, the French skirmishers with no bracer nor third armor upgrade with fare even worse. The match probably had an unbalanced civ match-up.

well! that's a big difference. plus Viper would counter those skirms with his hussar. mongols have one of the best hussar. in fact at this point viper could have counter anything mbl made except paladin but he didn't have that.( i do know Mongols have camels but franks have the best knight line)
Elite Mangudai are better. If you look at the stats they will seem pretty similar but Mangudai have faster attack rate and a bonus against siege. That's why Viper could take out the trebs and save his castle in this game.
Does he knows skirms units? What a waste of constant bulling heavy cav (slower than cav arch)! And franks with so few castles! I dont understand why so much people always think that they must make only the special units with tiny bonus of a civ without even considering the counter units! Even hand canoneers would have been better than paladins here considering the only mangudais army! And the raids were even so poor: not even one tc destroyed! You mix 50 skirms with about 30 halbs (to counter eventual light cav) and 4 trebs to block, and raid behind with 30 paladins to destroy eco and siege, coming back to be healed (in my humble opinion). And with that cheap army he would have gone imp way before too. About 300 paladins lost for only 2 buildings razed is insane! All eco can be protected from mangudais raids by the cheap and strong frank castles.
baby mongols got rams and Best LC in the game , hope for franks were to kill vipers castles before Viper cant mass mangudais, Mangudai is lethal in good hands
Paladins are good against Mangudai unless he gets a critical mass like Viper did in the end. Franks skirms are complete trash, lacking thumb ring, Bracer and Ring Archer armor.
