    Studying at a Hochschule as opposed to a university you will probably have to do one or two internships. My company (30 employees) always had some interns, many of which were later hired.

    Hey there! Really useful video, very informative. I'm still a student in highschool and I want to move to Germany after I graduate. I'm not from US, I'm from a small country called Moldova. Studying in Germany is a dream of mine and watching your videos really inspired me to stay on track and focus in order to achieve this goal. Thanks a lot!!! I just wanted to know if there is any specific difference between studying in English and German? Are you more likely to get a better job if you study in German or will you get better educational knowledge etc. My current level of language is B1 and I'm planning on starting B2. I also have my Cambridge certificate (CAE). Could you please tell me which "path" to pursue? Thank you once again!! Keep up the good work, you are both really really wonderful!!♥️

    Can I work as an Intern/Praktikum while studying the semester ?

    • @OKKOAdventures
      @OKKOAdventures  2 года назад +2

      Hi! The answer unfortunately is no! These positions are usually for example during the summer, if you take a semester off, or when you are writing your thesis. :) Interns work 35-40 hours, so it is a lot of work on top of school. That is why students have hiwi or student working (part time) positions while they are taking classes. Hope this clarifies!

    Hi, How about working online while I'm studying in Germany, is there any restrictions rules or no one knows how much time I work.

    • @OKKOAdventures
      @OKKOAdventures  2 года назад

      Hi Sorry for the late reply! Yes there are rules when you are a student in Germany. Students cannot exceed working 20 hours if they are full time. Mostly this restriction is regulated by the company you work for. :)

      We are both in a marketing working student positions so from our experience it ranges from 12 to 15 euros per hour. It depends on the company, region of Germany, and if you are a master or bachelor degree holder. Hope this helps.

    I was distracted by the comments, but did you make clear that Werkstudenten may work in any business, it is only about earning money, while for an Intern you should work in your field and it is normally part of your education.

    if we work as hiwi for around 15 16 hours per week, then can we also work 20 hours per week as part time ?? and how many working hours do we need to work in a week if we work as an intern instead of part time ??

    • @OKKOAdventures
      @OKKOAdventures  2 года назад +2

      Hi! Sorry for the late response, just getting back into it! So to answer your question - as a hiwi you can work up to 20 hours (this is part-time). Usually hiwi positions last minimum 6 months! As an intern this is like full-time, so 35-40 hours per week. Many students will take internship positions for example in the summer, or if they take an internship they will not be doing their coursework because an internship is a full commitment. Hope this clarifies! :)

    Is it difficult to find a working student job if you don’t speak German?

    • @OKKOAdventures
      @OKKOAdventures  2 года назад +1

      Hi :) Great question! Sorry for the late response, but hopefully we can help you! So your options are more limited if you don’t speak German but this shouldn’t discourage you from finding or even getting a job. There are (of course depends which city, city size, companies, MNCs, etc.) English jobs available! We have worked in purely English speaking positions ourselves and many of our international friends too. Job listings will mention the language for whichever job position you are interested in if it is in German or English, or both! We also have a video on our channel about student jobs in Germany. Hope this helps!

    • @OKKOAdventures
      @OKKOAdventures  2 года назад +1

      Hi sorry for the late answer! You can apply via your university for Hiwi jobs :) Either the uni has a job portal or website. You can also try asking different departments/professors because maybe they are looking for students to help with their university work.

    If you work as a Werkstudent for more than 6 months there is a high "danger" that the company will offer you a permanent job once you finish your study. So watch out!

    • @OKKOAdventures
      @OKKOAdventures  3 года назад +1

      Hi ! That is great you’re thinking of getting your Master‘s degree in Germany! It is scary starting something new and in a different country, but definitely an adventure you won’t forget and we definitely don’t regret doing. Our philosophy is to try something at least once… that way you at least know you did it 😊 In terms of your English or learning any language what we have done is watch tv, listen to music, and try a tandem exchange where you talk with native people (there are a few apps). If you have anymore questions about a Master’s don’t hesitate to reach out, we will be happy to answer ☺️
