- Maggie is a 2.5 year old Boxer who is completely deaf. She was sadly dumped at the pound but luckily rescued by Boxer Rescue Network Australia just a few weeks ago. Thank you BRNA 🙏
She has been in emergency foster (thank you to her emergency foster carer 🙏) care since. During this time she has had a number of applications and those that were suitable had meet and greets but unfortunately none were meant to be.
So what do we know about Maggie? She is very sweet and playful. She doesn’t do well with cats. And not so great with dogs that aren’t of similarly matched energy and play styles. She requires strong boundaries and firm leadership. And someone who is home most of the time as she doesn’t do so well being left home alone. She hasn’t had much socialisation if any, her social etiquette and skills are minimal, which would put lot of dogs off even though she isn’t at all reactive or aggressive. Being deaf, unsocialised and a young Boxer would make it challenging for someone to take her out off leash. Which makes it hard for Maggie. She’s a young Boxer who just wants to run and play, but the chances are being stacked against her.
So why is Maggie here at the farm? She needs possibly a longer term situation right now. She was only in temporary emergency care. She also needs a safe place to socialise and learn all the skills she has missed out on. Plus a safe place for a deaf Boxer to just play and run all day with a positive pack and qualified trainers giving her guidance.
She’s very similar to Barney. A young unsocialised Boxer with special needs who has found it hard to find just the right home and family.
A young, unsocialised dog with special needs can be a tricky one to place. We have learnt this. Not only does the adopter need to take on the responsibility of requirements for the dog’s special needs for life, they also need to manage a very young energetic dog that just wants to play but has no social skills so taking them out can be really tough, but also dangerous. A dog park isn’t a safe place for them. And is a walk enough? And leaving them home alone?
So right now, the farm is great place for Maggie, just like Barney.
There’s a whole village of people here to cook, clean, exercise, train and love her. A big positive pack of role model dogs to help her learn some crucial skills. And lots of space. Plus time. There’s no rush.
We’re excited to have Maggie with us. A big warm welcome from all of us.
Hello sweet Maggie. You are at the right place and with the right family now. You will be loved and cared for and have a lot of doggie friends to play with. Love ❤️ you.
She is so full of joy…she will bring much joy into your life…
What a beautiful girl you are Maggie! That collar colour is perfect for you! So nice to see Maggie leaping about, meeting new friends and enjoying the farm!
If anyone can socialize a deaf dog, it’s Luke Evans. Sam, Luke, y’all have a heart of gold. 💕🐾💕🐾💕🐾
What a beauty Maggie is. No better place for her then the Farm. Welcome Maggie!
Welcome Maggie to the all the family at the farm…you’re beautiful
This must be the best day of Maggie’s life. She is making so many new friends, particularly Miss Red and Miss Violet and looks completely at home already. I thinks she will sleep well tonight and dream of her day on the farm, what a great welcome Maggie
Welcome beautiful sweet Maggie! You are going to learn so much from all the wonderful dog packs at the farm and from the humans too. 💕💕💕
Well done Bandit Miss Red Miss Violet and Cutie Pie for the welcome .
Maggie is beautiful.
What a beautiful girl Maggie is. So happy she's at the farm where she can get the love and guidance she needs.
Omg what a beautiful girl she is. This baby has no idea how lucky she is. She hit the jackpot. Maggie you just happen to be one very lucky little girl. Enjoy your time at the farm. ❤️
Maggie looks like another beautiful soul who has won doggy lotto and come to the farm ❤️❤️❤️🇬🇧
Welcome Maggie. You will have a wonderful time learning at the Farm. You’ll make wonderful friends!!
The world just opened up for Maggie! She is so pretty. Miss Red seems to be the welcome committee. Go Miss Red!
Her pure white is beautiful against the fallen leaves. We've had the pleasure and honor to love two dogs, one blind and one deaf. They taught us so much about their heart, determination, trust, and patience as we learned to help make their lives comfortable and full. They were wonderful, and I think they approved of all they had and experienced. I can't wait to watch this sweet pup learn and teach. ❤️
What a rotten life she must have had so far... She kept her good spirit and to be honoust, it IS hard to have a deaf dog (or cat for that matter) in the house. Especially if you don't have the possibility to let her run as much as she needs.
Well, she knows a little sign language and with the skills of all of you she will get there.
I am very thankfull you took her in.
Thank you Sam and Luke 😘🦘
What a wonderful welcoming committee!
Maggie is gorgeous. You guys rock. Super awesome when it comes to training. Maggie is so blessed to be in your farm.
Welcome Maggie 💖
You are a very lucky girl landing at the farm sweetheart 💞
🙏 welcome Maggie May. Miss Red and Miss Violette look almost big compared to her. What a trio.!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 THE THREE MUSKETEERS. OR Debra Harrie and BLONDIE

Beautiful absolutely gorgeous Maggie welcome to paradise 💖
A warm welcome to Maggie. Looking forward to seeing lots of good things happening with Maggie as I am sure they are going to. She is truly adorable and full of energy! and she certainly got a warm welcome! Her nose also seems to be working well with all the sniffing she is doing. Maggie and Miss Violet can sniff out anybody now!
Love her tail. It just kept wagging!! First impressions are good!
Welcome to the Farm Maggie where the Magic happens........love how Miss Violet and Miss Red are following her everywhere. xxx
Maggie is beautiful. Miss Violet and Miss Red made her feel right at home, two sweet little shadows.
Maggie's exuberance as she senses the freedoms and good vibes reminds me of the day Yoyo let go of a lot of pent up tension as he enjoyed playing in the big paddock the first day he came to the farm.
Welcome to the pack Maggie! You will learn so much and have so much fun!!
Welcome Maggie! Just wait until you see the lure…👍🏻😁
Hello Maggie. You have come to the right place.
Welcome Maggie!
As you say Luke, her behaviour would trigger other dogs. But at The Farm, it is so much to do with 'just the vibe' of the thing! And what dog could complain about the beautiful space to run free and do doggy things. Half the battle. All the home and regular doggies are like counsellors, they are used to new dogs coming in that need some good examples to follow. Bandit, and now Miss Red!, Tilly and Cutie Pie, they all take care of the new guys in their own way. Freddo, that's just not his job! His job is Wolfie and the family, he isn't interested in the new dogs. Such amazing characters they all are.
She is in the best possible place for a good outcome.🥰🥰
Of course Miss Violet and Miss Red and Cutie Pie are the welcoming committee! Maggie is a pretty girl and so full off energy. She will absolutely love the farm for so many reasons....all the humans and dogs who will love her, and oh my! all the space to run!! Welcome, Maggie!
I notice that she does turn to Luke after she gets a little ways away. Which is what you want from a deaf dog.
Gorgeous girl. Love her sweet, curious nature & that pink collar.
Maggie is very cute, and the staffies by her side made me smile. I am enjoying seeing the beautiful colour leaves on the trees and the floor, picture perfect 🥰
She's just beautiful and so sweet. She has that oh boy what is this place bounce to her run lol.
Thank you for allowing Maggie to remain an enthusiastic and playful dog. I love her boxer cheekiness🥰❤️ She is a great addition to the pack. She is an ambassador of good will.🫶
🎉🎈🎊 Welcome Maggie! You're in the best place to overcome any fears & challenges. I think you may also have 2 new best friends in little Miss Red & Little Miss Violet!
🥰🤭❤🙏🐕
Congratulations on finding your way here, Maggie! You couldn't possibly have done better! The little dogs have a lot of info to share with you - and that big male boxer who greeted you will be your guide and teacher. Watch him, and Luke, and Sam, and you will be fitting right in with the gang in no time!
Aww Maggie, you are beautiful. Typical bouncy boxer. It will be great to see her enjoying all the farm activities
Little Maggie May doesn't seem to have a shy bone in her body! Best of wishes to all of you with a new puppy and challenge.
She’s so lucky to be at the farm. The Staffy sisters and Cutie Pie are the best greeters🤗
Well, Hello Miss DDFT 2022, you are one pretty girl! Hang around for a while and you'll get the manners to go with your model looks. A word of advice, "don't mess with Freddo". He takes his protection (of kids mostly) role very seriously. Watch out for those cute young staffy girls, too. They might try to lead you astray. One thinks she is a princess & the other one is deaf like you and can't see much either. The perfect excuse to get away with more than the other dogs. If you want advice try the senior Boxer - he knows everything!
I bet she slept well after the excitement and exercise!
I've a 9 yr old deaf sfaffy cross who has about 30 signs .. who I adore... my fellow goes to the beach off lead and he cues into my other 11 yr old pupper and me ... happy take Maggie on...
She’s happy to be there.
It might be Maggie's first time exploring, and running around a wide open exterior space., especially in the company of other dogs. Wait till she finds the mud pool. LOL
Woo hoo, what a great place for her to learn and socialise
Maggie is a beautiful dog! I know you can help her, after all look what you did for Shadow!
Welcome to Maggie! It will interesting to see how she gets along not being able to hear Luke's tones in training. Being able to get her to always look to someone for guidance will be tricky surely. I do have faith though lol. She seems well-mannered.
What a pretty face she has. Wait for a few weeks and the Evans magic will have worked!
Welcome Maggie!
welcome young lady, you have arrived at the right place to succeed.
God bless you Sam and Luke for giving Maggie the chance to learn how to be her best self!
What a beautiful and very excited girl. She certainly has some followers, she is also very inquisitive. Welcome to the DDF Maggie, she is in the best place. A lovely video Sam. Take care. Much love to you all. 🤗🥰🏡👋🐾💚🐕🌎
Maggie looks so cute with her pink collar! Welcome to the farm Darlin' - the Evans team will take great care of you as you become your best self. Have fun!

Miss Maggie you will join in so well with the farm pack forever. Don’t tell me she will leave with these two forever parents not fosters. 😂😍💖💜💕👍🤗😁🥴🤗
She looks like she is enjoying the freedom of running around, I bet she’s not had that before. 💕👍
She'll catch up on hand signals fast.
I'll bet she is craving communication.
Seems to have great nature!
Lucky gal!!!
Patricia, I'll bet you are right about her craving communication. Great insight!
Hi, Patricia! I'm guessing based on Luke's expertise in dog training that he'll dust off his hand signal dog training skills right quick. She's a beauty isn't she??
@@gossamerabba atriking
I mean striking!
@@patriciapiper6294 Gotcha...and I agree! She's a stunner!
Awwww, Welcome Maggie 💗💗💗
Welcome Maggie Mae to the farm! My first dog was Maggie Mae, a miniature schnauzer and the runt of the litter, we grew up together. Maggie Mae cemented my love of dogs early on. I see her and it just rolls off the tongue.
How beautiful!!! full of spirit, joyful like all boxers. I am sure that she will progress very quickly, at the farm of happiness! Welcome Maggie, you have the encouragement of your new fans all over the world.
Maggie is an absolutely stunning Boxer!!! Sorry that none of the meet and greets worked out for her, but she is going to enjoy herself to the max on the Farm in the meantime.
She is gorgeous ,I don't think it will take her very long to fit in and love living in paradise with Luke And Sam and her new doggie family 💖💖💖
Love her…I had a white boxer when I was growing up…beautiful baby.
Welcome to the farm Miss Maggie! Will be interesting to see how her training goes. How do you recall a deaf pup? Thanks for sharing her with us! Much love!
Maggie is gorgeous boxer Bless to arrive into your care of exceptional team ♥️ welcome committee showing Maggie she safe and in loving environment. You are all amazing angels 😇 on earth thank you

Sam and Luke you both never cease to amaze me the compassion and love you show these dogs fills my heart ❤ with love and a tear to my eye my husband and I just adore dogs they are very special. Welcome to the farm Maggie you are so beautiful and you will learn from all the Evans human and furbabies on how wonderful a full life you will have bless you all ❤❤
She's a beauty!.
Best of luck Maggie..you are in great hands!
Welcome to the beautiful, sweet Maggie! You're in the best doggo place on Earth, but I think you already know that. Enjoy!
Having a deaf dog it's a real challenge. It's just like Luke says, you can't take them off leash in any situation, and they deserve the same freedom as any other dogs. There aren't many people who are fit to care for a dog with this kind of special need. But I'm certain Sam, Luke and the rest of the team (I'm also including the doggies 😄) have the perfect environment, training and love to take care of her. Thank you for being such amazing human beings, the world could need more people like you guys ❤❤
When I trained a deaf dog, I found stamping the floor helped to get their attention as he felt the vibration.
Maggie is a beautiful girl ,she's in the right place for training and lots of love from everyone 2 & 4 legged the. The right home will come along ,welcome Cutie 💓 😘
Awww-welcome, Maggie!!
Welcome Maggie to the best place for dogs you are in for the best time lots of friends n people who will do the best for you. What a beautiful dog 🥰
Re-watching older videos (obviously, including advertisements) helps the channel. And it also brings back memories that get us to smile ❤
Agree. Wish more people would do it while waiting for a new upload.
I watch again and again.
I actually got a little teary watching her be so happy. She knows she’s finally in a place that understands her!
How fabulous that dogs can accept each other straight away - if only humans could do this - xx❤️🥰
Wolf just wants to drive dad🥰
She looks like she's got a lot of energy to burn. She's gonna love the activities at the farm.
Maggie is a Beauty - welcome 😍❤️
Welcome Maggie. Your fortunes have changed sweet girl and you're in the very best place you could be to get the best life can offer you. Good job👍😍
Maggie you beautiful girl, you are a very sweet girl!🤍💗
You could not be in better care, look forward to watching you bloom and progress on the farm under the best ever guidance.
It's almost as if Bandit knows he's got to look out for her! He's one special doggie that's for sure! ❤🐕
Maggie is a gorgeous girl. Thank you to Boxer Rescue for saving her. Like so many other dogs and pups before her, she has landed on her paws coming to the farm. Thank you Sam and Luke!❤
What a lovely girl. It’s fantastic she’s being given the chance for socialization, confidence building, safety and love at The Farm. Thanks to everyone for helping Maggie !!
