I've stayed here once and overall experience is great. Since the hotel has 24h cleaning policy, remember to turn your "busy do not clean" sign , otherwise you'll have someone entering your room at 1am like it happened to me! not cool!
I stayed here a month ago for an entire week and I loved it. The place has a very cool vibe to it. And the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I ever slept in. Some of the amenities were limited due to Covid. The restaurant and bar were closed on the 4th floor, but that didn't really affect my enjoyment. Rooms were small, but I am a solo traveler, so again, no big deal.
I have stayed at this hotel 3 times travelling from Ireland. I have loved it each and every time. My husband and I could not fault it. We had the queen suite on 2 Occaasions but for my 50th we booked Executive suite. Both fitted our needs well. The Galley with free coffee, tea etc on each floor is great. The coffee is lovely so is the hot chocolate. Thats what the built in tray is for. Take it with u to carry ur drinks bk to ur room. There is ice machine in there, microwave and a fridge to use. If memory serves me each Galley room on each floor ends with 38 as last two numbers for example 16th floor the galley room wud be 1638. Ur room key gives u access to it. I loved ur video which has now made me yearn to go back asap. If you are looking a good breakfast go to the Theatre Diner on 42nd Street near 8th Avenue. Great place where locals eat and not bad priced either. Hope anyone going enjoys Yotel as much as we did. We will never stay anywhere else if visiting NY..
Where this hotel stands MTV Studios used to stand up until 2003. I worked at MTV with MTV VJs like Daisy Fuentes, Bill Bellamy, and others. Yotel lobby at 10 avenue is exactly where the MTV green rooms used to be. Massive celebrities stayed in those green rooms on the street level when visiting. Secondly, the view scene at 5:53 on this video is of a tall building that you Angel didn't like in the way. Guess what....... The singer Alicia Keys lived in that same building. That building charges low rent to aspiring entertainers. The main entrance of MTV was where the entrance is now for the Signature Theater around the block on 42 street. In fact the old overhead marquee of the National Video sign where MTV and NY 1 News were at is still there at 460 W42 Street. One more thing. A few movies have been filmed right there where the Yotel is at. The movie Tootsie with Dustin Hoffman and The Woody Allen movie Deconstructing Harry were filmed on that location. To see the old MTV (National Video Center) pictures, just google National Video Center. Thanks for this video Angel. It brings back memories to me of meeting many celebrities there.
Good video! I grew up in NYC and going to visit soon with 3 friends. Looking very much forward to staying there. My friends have never to NYC and this should be really cool for all of us!
This is neat and I can’t wait to check it out next time I’m in NYC. However I don’t think any micro+ compact hotel can top the Hub by Premier Inn in London. That’s my favorite hotel thus far.
Great video, thanks man! We booked it for a trip in January. :) We don't mind the small rooms, we're there to visit what the city has to offer, not the hotels! Thanks again. :)
We check in on the 12th of dec and our booking says ‘double club queen bed’… does anyone know what this is as I cannot find that room type on the website. I’m not sure if it’s a standard or premium room
I’m hopefully heading there next Nov - Dec, anything you’d suggest for a first time visit to NYC ? Restaurant / breakfast any good ? Good local places to eat ?
Hi there! Just stumbled across this video as I'm considering booking here for my trip in October...question, I'll be going with my 15 daughter (we ok with the small rooms lol) but wondering about how easy it is to get around from here? We'd like to hit as many of the tourist attractions as possible....we are good with walking but I'm wondering how you would rate it for safety if we were to say, walk to times square, or empire state bld. Thank you! Enjoyed your video.
Hello, great video. Staying in Yotel New York very soon. Hearing a lot of negative reviews regarding extra fees, are these fees true and do you know how much? Thank you !!
Can you please let us know more about the luggage storage robot? Are you not allowed to keep your luggage in the room? I saw some vloggers that were told they must keep their suitcase in a locker in the airport and that makes absolutely no sense. Thanks!!
Glynis Rogers hi Glynis you can in fact keep your luggage in the room. It’s used if you are checking out and want to venture out into the city on last time or if your room is not yet ready
Thanks for the pier 81 and 83 suggestion. I'm staying at Yotel next year as a pre-cruise hotel stay. Going to go on the pier tour the night I fly down. I know there has to be a ton of places nearby but any suggestions for lunch and supper that is walking distance of Yotel or on the way to pier 81. Don't want to go nuts since it is just me but if there is a great chinese place, pizza place, or a well known place nearby please let me know. I found a few meals at the Yotel restaurant as a plan b.
Yes. I stayed there back in May. You can store your luggage by using the yobot. I think it's 5.00. Our room was ready when we arrived early so we didn't need to store our luggage but we had the option. We loved our stay at Yotel.
Taura Kimble there are several I urge you to utilize yelp when you get there and read reviews! As far as discounts stores you may have to walk a little bit there is a cvs close by
WTF is that old ass elevator doing in a high-tech hotel? Every modern building has at the very least elevators that you can punch your number in from the outside.
This is expensive hotel just looked up price for booking a room as if I was going to book the date of writing this is 193 a night. Such a small space for such a large price. Not worth it
@@AngelsTravelUnravel yes I forget how expensive New York is I remember once years ago like back in 2015 or something I looked up booking a hostel room where I would have a bed but share the room with another individual who would take the other bed that was only going to cost me $165 at the YMCA in Manhattan at the time.
I've stayed here once and overall experience is great. Since the hotel has 24h cleaning policy, remember to turn your "busy do not clean" sign , otherwise you'll have someone entering your room at 1am like it happened to me! not cool!
it's always good to clean you just never know 💜

Stayed at Yotel in 2019 and honestly? Loved it. Breakfast was pretty yummy, too! My favorite thing about it? THAT WATER PRESSURE. Lol.
