Great lessons. You are my go to place for P.J. tutorials. Just wondering about Mikes verse lick. You say the bend on the D note is a full step but it looks like your tab says 1/2 step. To tell you the truth, both bends sound good so I'll just take that as its just rock n roll so I'll play it as I feel it. Anyways, keep up the great content.

Hi there, I had another question for you if that is ok? Firstly I wanted to thank you again for this amazing lesson. Thanks to you we are covering this song with our band as you helped me a lot to make sense of the lead part and also to finally get down the outro solo in a way that sounds authentic! Thank you so much. My question was around the effects that are being used in the lead parts. You briefly mentioned it at the beginning but would you be able to tell me what you think Mike is using for most of his parts, particularly the outro solo? It sounds like a wah at times but when I engage my wah on the outro the sound goes very thin, is there something else going on here? Also what modulation is being used? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated and thanks again for these fabulous lessons !!
By the way I definitely think I hear a wah, the problem is when I engage the wah the rest of the solo gets very twangy...
No worries and thanks for the kind feedback. Really pleased the videos are helping others spread the good word 🤘😊🤘He definitely uses some modulation in the riff before the solo, probably a univibe and possibly that too in most of the solo. Not sure about wah from memory tho!
Can anyone recommend the optimal picking action for the repeating lick at 19:30? Upstroke .. hammer.. pull of and downstroke on the string above?
MrJourney2anywhere that would be the most efficient way, I think out of habit I play downstroke - hammer - pull off - upstroke but that’s not something I do consciously!

ok really late to this but it would help alot if you put the entire tab for the solo up as you play through it instead of one at a time, i found it far easier screen shotting, cropping, and pasting together the 3 sections, then playing along with you at 14:38 and increasing the speed by 1.25, then 1.5 etc, great lesson tho, thanks boss!
