The best mod you can do to these cars hands down! 💯 Every single penny is worth it. Gears & a higher stall are the best bang for your buck & are required when you do a cam swap so IMO you save money & time by doing those first 🤷🏿. Too many people do the top end & build the engine & are slower than a FBO stalled & geared car because they built their car backwards 🤣🤣. I still manage to get 23 MPG on an in person street tune by Jeff Creech, I also opted for 93.
My fuel mileage went to crap cause I can't stop flooring it 😂. I had a disgusting whine with my first set of gears, it was unbearable at highway speeds and the shop kept saying it was fine and that the noise was like transmission related (t56 in the car). Gave me the run around so had to cut the losses with them. Went to another shop, gears were crap and the rear-end was not setup properly at all. Once these guys went through the rear-end 0 whine, had to pay twice for the same job so for anyone doing it find a proper shop, especially shops that deal with similar rear-ends like G-bodys and what not.
Wow crazy. I’m glad they were able to get it done right. And yes, its very hard NOT to step on the gas peda lol now that the car takes off like a rocket
I plan on taking my caprice on pretty long road trips, but mainly city driving. Will 3.73 gears with 20-22” wheels be terrible? Also.. I have done absolutely nothing, In your opinion, other than gears what are some must haves for the first upgrades I do?
If you take long road trips I would stick with the stock gears. if you want a bit of performance over stock than go with 3:42. Intake, tune , and exhaust.
Did 373 my abs light won’t go off sealed out sensors and recalibrated the diff also my Spedomiter is off it’s up like 15 to 20 mph so 40 it be saying 60 65 also what gages you have in pillars need thos
It’s warming up. We are ready for some new videos!

Yes sir. I completely agree.
Very informative. You can't go wrong with 3.73's
Thanks. I should have done this mod from the very beginning. Live and learn.

Hey, those rims caught my eye. Do you have any info on them?
Anyone knows if a reluctor is needed for a 373 install?

@@96_kingz thanks for the prompt response ✊🏼, I’ll drop another comment when I’ve got some more done to it.

If you didn’t add the reluctor then you will need to have your pcm retuned
What are ur Rpms on the 🛣️ at like 65 u sem to be crusing
What gear is 8.8. 373?
21 mpg combined ethanol free gas
wHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT 4;11?
Not for street/highway use.
I would pick either 3:42 or 3:73
