  • Tyrese Maxey just scored 50 (!) points, while his MVP teammate Joel Embiid did his thing as well, perfectly capturing the dominance of this 76ers duo.

I remember when maxey was a rookie i kind of viewed him as eventually being a 6th man microwave scorer type who could be a starter who puts up decent numbers on a mediocre to bad team. Then he developed and i thought alright maybe this is the type of guy who can start for a good team and make an all star team at some point. Now, obviously it's only 9 games in and i dont expect him to be *this* good all year, but it's clear that considering he literally turned 23 like a week ago that he can be at least the 2nd best player on a championship team, if not now at least in his prime. Genuinely feel at this point he seems like he'll be a damian lillard type who isnt a complete liability on defense which is just an incredible player. If his production for the year winds up in the same ballpark it is right now his ceiling might even be higher than that, he's legit producing like an mvp candidate right now at a very young age and is an incredibly hard worker

In 2k24 i trade Embiid for Barnes + Siakam and
Tobias Harris, House Jr, Springer for Buddy Hield, Tj McConnell, Theis..
Barnes and Maxey amazing in transition and with Siakam on Center you can play very fast as well

  • @normanball612

People kill Embiid for his lack of playoff success and it is so annoying because it is barely considered that he had to play with one of the most ridiculous players to enter the NBA, Ben Simmons. Maxey is attacking and Ben literally refused to shoot the Basketball and showed ZERO improvement while Maxey clearly improved each year. Then he gets a PG, James Harden who spent 5 years being allowed to foul bait in Houston, but not after he left Houston because the league wanted to change the wanted to change how they officiated, thus reducing Harden's effectiveness. This is really the first time that Embiid played with a Guard with no offensive flaws.
