Jackson too arrogant to accept he’s a run first pass second qb. He’ll never win a SB as a pocket passer. When he runs more, he’s unstoppable

Not even elite defenses. Just a well coached defense that takes away the limited simplified plays and throws he always runs.
This the 2nd time Lamar had a top 5 offense as well as a top 5 defense with a mvp if he can’t win under those circumstances when can he win ? What will it take

A run first pass second quarterback is most likely to suffer injuries. This is why the Ravens wanted him to be more of a pocket quarterback than a running one. They had paid him too much money to get injured running the ball consistently?

I pity people who can't see what part that plays in things. What is it y'all think coaches _do_ all game? Some QBs can call their own plays (Manning) most can't. There was virtually NO play-calling by the Ravens. 80+ % pass plays, 80+% of which had _NO check-downs when the Chiefs' secondary was where they were strongest?

Once again they crucified Josh Allen for losing while still playing elite in the playoffs with no turnovers and 6 TDs, yet they're giving passes to Lamar again. The "window is closed" for Josh Allen all the time apparently, but "Lamar still is young", these pundits are a joke and just spinning narratives.

If Lamar gets a turnover, he will lose the game, bc once Lamar is down 7 or more, he has NEVER been able to bring his team back to win. He cannot make a mistake, bc he does not have the throwing ability to come from behind. Meanwhile, even if Allen has 3 turnovers in a game, they're never out of it. Also. The numbers of turnovers don't matter near as much when you're dropping 40+ TDs every season. He is the ONLY player in NFL history to do so 4 conservative seasons, does Lamar even have 1? Point being, turnovers matter less when you can actually score, like Lamar cannot very much. He has to rely on an elite D to get anywhere bc he constantly has 1 TD games. 5 of them this season, would that be a win on any other team? No, that's 5 guaranteed losses unless you have an elite D. Lamar has squandered 4 elite Defenses. What more can you give that fool to succeed? Allen has never had an elite D, the one year he did 3 of their main Defensive players got injured. So Allen has never had that luxury. When Allen has lost in the playoffs. Teams have to put up an average of 34ppg, they don't have to put up 15 to beat Lamar. His playoff record is abysmal. He has some of the worst playoff stats ever, Tim Tebow's stats are better. Lamar cannot and will never win anything bc he has already had everything a team can have to win, and he cannot do it. He gets killed every season in the playoffs bc he cannot compete with teams who have elite QBs, and a great D, that's why he sucks so bad in the playoffs bc that's all there is in the playoffs. If the Ravens had Josh Allen, you'd already have a Super Bowl with his 26TDs 4 INTs in his playoff career. If you put those stats with your defense, I dunno if you could've been beaten. That's the truth. Lamar is a "wildcat QB" being given the #welfareMVP.

@@Fire-idk he got his first one November of 2021, he can't do it consistently. He can't take over a game. How many of those are from pick 6's, defensive plays, etc? He was 0-6 all the way up until last season. This season, he has a historic D with 5, 1 TD games, he can't lead a team with his offense alone, like an elite QB can. The one year he didn't have an elite D, they went 9-8.

Lamar has reached his ceiling bc he cannot beat a team that has an elite D and a great offense. He has to keep up with their scoring and he cannot do it. He has to play with a lead to play great. He cannot win ever if he gets down by 7 or more bc he can't drop back and pass when he has to, to win the game. Josh Allen lost by 3 points to the Chiefs with half a defense, and Lamar can't put up more than 1 TD........again. This is his 6th 1 TD performance this season. That's not an MVP.

I think John Harbaugh gives Lamar too much freedom. Of course Lamar wants to throw it deep or run it nearly every play, but even Mahomes had to dial it back and be efficient. 6 carries all game from their 2 headed monster RB room, when they were one of the top rushing teams. Ravens did this to themselves. Chiefs won cause they trust their run game.

This is a solid argument. however, Lamar was the one holding the ball in the pocket for 6 plus seconds. lamar was missing checkdowns, lamar was running 20 yards back looking for the big play risking a safety. he plays like a Madden player.

Todd Monken hand picked for out coaching the best college coach in history 2 years consecutively. But if he needs Einstein Vince Lombardi Belichick Bill Walsh and Alexander the Great scheming him a fresh never seen before scheme every week every season to be effective he’s not a good QB. Good QBs execute plays that’s seen and used on a weekly basis thru accuracy, timing and pre snap post snap reading n adjustments. If he needs never seen b4 plays every week every season to be effective then why pay him? Any QB could be effective on that basis of running fresh brilliant schemes and plays no defense is prepared for.

look at history u have to be able to throw the football at the high level to win consistently in the postseason to win superbowls. running qb just don’t do that. now maybe lamar can develop more into a pocket passer but from how i look at it flat out running qb aren’t worth it just injuries and just bad passing performance the most important part of the position. regular season lamar a dawg but post season is a whole different ball game
Ngl it was the ravens fault. No run , young players too hot headed, they let miss calls get them in there feelings , and didnt know how to protect lamar. When can we all just say the chiefs are great and they just won fair n square.
Still, it’s disappointing to see the Ravens, 1 seed, best team in the regular season, went out like that, even as a Chiefs fan. The offensive coaching staff and Lamar just didn’t show up. Where’s the running game? It is the Chiefs’ defensive weakness and your biggest strength! I get Spags did a great job scaring them off the run early, but why are you abandoning it completely? Where’s the zone read and options for Lamar? Why didn’t he use his legs? Their defense shut down us the 2nd half and gave them plenty of chances for Lamar to win the game. Don’t even talk about the Zay Flowers fumble excuse. 1.) He was your best offensive weapon that day. 2.) They still had a chance when Lamar threw that god awful pick into triple coverage in the end zone. That was the losing play of the game, not the fumble!
There's nobody that's gonna beat us. Give Lamar a break. We are THE CHIEFS. Our D is best in the NFL bar none (maybe Cleveland).

It's honestly insane to me how little people understand about sports. Number crunching rarely means shit in the post-season, and yes, players/teams make horrible mistakes year after year, but it doesn't mean that they have no shot at improving. I'm not even a fan of Lamar, but to pretend that he's never gonna have a shot at the SB when so many players have overcome similar hurdles is laughable.
I agree I hope that QB’s like Jackson,love, and stroud take this season and run with that good momentum they built up.
@MegaBadgerdude Stroud and Love are young inexperienced qbs, but who can read defenses and passing isn't a weakness for them, not comparable to Lamar who is i n his prime and has not improved his reads or accuracy.

Yeah the awful play calling and mistakes Zay made is all Lamar’s fault. Ball bounced the chiefs way on a couple key plays. That was the difference. This one was on our coach and coordinators. Not Lamar. Reid and spags easily got the better of our coaches.
