Not sure if everyone have experience in real studio but in most case , even decent condenser mic really need good mic preamp to showing what it can do . So if you in budget invest decent mic preamp first before buying nice microphone. Forget about budget preamp which bundled with cheap devices or interfaces . If you've already have ones , just use dynamic microphone
The title of the video really says it all. The monitoring issue is a dealbreaker, and most of the features are not very useful for many people I don’t imagine. Sound card indeed. Love NIN. Saw them in concert in the mid 99s. Impressive use of their stuff off the cuff!
I'd say the Tascam us-42 (cheapest) Then maybe the ATEN UC8000 But if you are good with a software controlled experience....the Vocaster Two gets it done
The Fifine SC3 gaming mixer is much better, but only has one mic preamp. You can add an Rockville RockMix 4 later for $55 to record the two preamps dry then run the output into the line input of the SC3 and you can still use the voice changer, which has 6 settings is is pretty usable. Of course the same applies to the ALABS. The Fifine K669D is one of the best budget mics on the market.
I like the little RockMix interfaces. I wish there were more reviews on those. Not sure if the internals are the same, but definitely the same platform as the little ART mixers.
Dang it!!! Come on people! Don’t they realize that the first one that comes out with latency free headphone monitoring will own the keys to the world? keep it under $200 and they will own the market. 🤯😡 I feel like these companies keep trying to sell us cars that the steering wheel won’t turn and the wheels are rims only and no tires and they tell you it’s okay to drive because the rims are still round. 😤
@@BoobLover4Life FiFine is nowhere near as bad with the latency as the Maono series, which I clearly expressed my frustration with it’s performance in latency and reverb in my review of them. FiFine gets some love because they are ahead of these products when it comes to the reverb/latency, but none of them are amazing products, just the best of the budget gaming/fix mixers. Which still leaves a lot to be desired
You saved someone from a crappy christmas! Great job! These things just need to go away.
Literally need to go away

Recommend some preamps? Please and thanks

We saw them last year around this time....my first time...my wife's 3rd. Best show ever
Well, damn. This could be great for kids that want to get into podcasting, that want to LOOK like the pros.
Frustrating
Does the AUX in at least offer allow you to take incoming calls ?
Yes...that it does
Hello. Yes, you have my attention!
Man, audio devices are getting so cheap and good lately but I guess not everyone got the memo
Too many are jumping on the already made for you logo to slap on bandwagon
They need to stop with this nonsense. Just make the thing properly and not waste a product.
Ay ayyy
I got to ask. The best cheap alternative to the Rodecaster Duo would be?
I'd say the Tascam us-42 (cheapest)
Then maybe the ATEN UC8000
But if you are good with a software controlled experience....the Vocaster Two gets it done
Yeah that's my main problem. I'm really bad at controlling my audio with a software :P@@ObscureMics

Always a solution! And heck yes on the k669d

Hi what mic booster did you use for this thing can you tell me. What type or brand. Thanks
Did I use a mic booster?
@@ObscureMics Look at the video, that's what you said.
He was using the built in mic booster on the SM7db
Any BBSAR 8 or higher models in this same price range or less?
So far the best cheap mic I've seen is the Alabs ac88, thoughts on that too?
Not YET on an 8 or above for a generic rodecaster-ish device
I have not used the ac88, but my experience with alabs mics are not great
Magical.... 🤣
Too bad it can't get the most basic things right. You got your video looking pretty dang good on the main camera, Bark.
Thanks! I was hoping it looked nice. I dig it for sure
B-roll cam is absolutely a work in progress however
so many more choices now
Any suggestion for someone setting up the first studio? Mic, etc?
Start cheap...I've seen so many people buy a lot of high end gear to end up not being that into it. Feel free to email me!
@@ObscureMicsHave you tried the N8 sound card with two 48v xlr inputs?
use atr 2100x and usb connect directly to your phone.
Hi, thank you for the video, Should i buy a Rodecaster pro 2 for tiktok o a tascam 4?
I do tiktok live.
Doing it alone or with other hosts?

These have to just be mass produced, ready to go machines for any company to slap their name on it and pick their layout
This product reminds me of your Fifine glorification on your channel. Should take lessons from Bark to call it how it is.

The only good mixer was the 29 dollar mixer you reviewed on Amazon
Its a crime that they charged 200 dollars for this it doesn't even do better than any of the maonocaster
159....and still a crime indeed
Maonocaster is better?
Yes
amazıng spıderman
......that one went over my head
All that glitters isn't gold.
Nailed it
Brutal. Too bad.
Indeed
tascam mixcast 4 is better than this one.
Way way better
Haha, thats just a silly childs toy. Who uses all that rediculous crap in thier broadcast audio? Nobody! Just buy a mixer and do it right
Bingo!!
