Glad someone showed grooming on a rarer breed.(which I have one)..so this is just blending the neck and takes away wisps or fly away hair? In love this tool!

One more thing. You once had a video on supplements for Dogs. Vitamin C, Flax seed oil etc etc. Could you do a video on that please?

    Beautiful!
I have two Field Spaniels,; a 7 year old liver and tan male, and his niece, a 2 yr old liver female who has a coat like the dog Charles in the video. She’s easy to groom relative to the male. She loves it AND her coat is short and sleek.
    A couple questions:
1)My liver and tan Field Spaniel has a very downy coat and gets loads of burrs and develops mats. He’s a pet, not a show dog. I’ve only ever had him hand-stripped because the breeder said he would get very dull (irreversibly so?) if he were clipped. He is way overdue. He is so wooly and such a crybaby when I even try to gently work a burr out of his coat that I am at the point where I want to have him shaved down and then gradually start with the hand-stripping myself as the coat grows back. A little each week to get him used to it. Your video has given me confidence, but not in his present state. Is this possible to get a nice result after clipping into a “puppy cut?”
    2) Two sizes of steel stones are for sale on your linked website. Which is the proper size for a Field Spaniel?
    Thanks in advance, Eric!

Both larger for maintenance and smaller for details also watch the beer and egg conditioning video for better quality hair

Thank you SO much for these! I will be getting your tools for sure! So I have a couple of questions- I have a big male Irish Setter- he has a TON of coat- Very lovely deep rich color and texture- but a lot of it, MUCH more than the pup in this video. Do you still do just the stone and the thinning blade? Also I noticed when I use the thinning shears on the top of his head and his toes- the coat grows back much lighter- so I hesitate from doing it very often because the color changes so much. Is this just the way it is or is there somethings you can suggest? Thanks!

I would use the stone and the detail three way stripper for final finish.

Should clippers still be used on the throat or can the stripping comb work there too?
