GP transco claims they are the 3rd highest paying carrier in the nation, but after working there for 2.5 years, I found that the POTENTIAL is there but most of the time you're stuck with dispatchers and planners that don't know how to do anything but follow a flowchart. They spend as much on marketing as they do on their assets, but spend as little as possible in the middle

Why would a company immediately give a truck driver a sign on bonus upfront? That would be stupid... you will have have guys taking the money and running. Trucking companies play games but I don’t blame them on that one.

    • @Joe_Hunt_Music

You can earn over $3,000 a week as a company driver pulling dry vans at Western Express if you're at max rate, you're a trainer, you're close to your manager AND your manager is able to consistently set you up and nothing goes wrong along the way.
And also don't expect to do that every week, you still might have a rough week that comes out

There's a reason it exists the way it does. They tried that in the past and it didn't work the bad actors messed it up for everyone. They literally made a job of ogling the women at orientation then eating the lunch. Staying in hotels and collecting bonus and then on to the next one.
