- Every arrow did 10,000 damage and I shot a billion.
These firing speed and damage upgrades were absolutely broken. I still can't believe how hard the game lagged from just my arrows being fired. I bet I could have gone even further if things were playing nice.

To fix the lag, you can go into the settings and turn off explosions, and you can also turn off damage numbers if it’s really bad

Yeah the chain explosion by crit and the damage numbers are usually the reason
I highly doubt he'll ever turn off the numbers, seeing the damage is kind of DFs whole thing.

This type of game makes me think of the simple flash games, it brings out the good feelings.
The best part, is that it's much better than old flash games because i'ts not *at the behest* of flash.. which was woefully inefficient in its era

It's also kinda amusing to go for immortality. Heal on Dash, all dashes recharge at once, and then just go for health and dash. Got the game actually to the point of not being able to calculate damage anymore. Neither the enemy nor me could take damage.
the 8 thousand is from the upgrade you got that every time you take damage it deal area damage that deal 4x your normal damage.

Having less precision is actually extremely detrimental to you in the long run. I did some testing and I actually lasted 83% longer on the runs I didn’t take the tequila bottle. I made sure that each run I had with and without the tequila bottle, I also took the same upgrades the same amount of times, some runs were focused more on crit chance, some crit damage, base damage, attack speed, you get the gist.

You should do a run where you only increase damage or attack speed and don't touch crit chance. Wait for the legendary item.
They changed that item. Now it’s 60% crit chance and half damage. I personally go for 40% and then ignore it in case I get it
I'd actually say to just ignore the crit item entirely. If you get crit to around 40~60% and grab the pierce on crit item with high bounces then your projectiles can keep bouncing around inside a group of enemies for quite a while, however if you get that item with to high of a crit rate than all your bounce upgrades and items become wasted.
You generally do not want to take any upgrades that sacrifice damage because those penalties are permanent, that basic damage upgrade normally gives 10 base damage but after you take that crit item it only gives 5 and if you stack the 4x fire rate item on top of that you're down to just 1.6 damage. Take the 4x fire rate item instead, 4x the arrows means you're scoring 4x the crits and each projectile can only explodes on the first 3 crits anyway.
@@GremlinSciences I personally never get the crit=pierce item. If you get that early it’s good but if you have any bounce or pierce and you have a high crit chance it completely negates the other upgrades. So you should either get that item or the individual bounces/pierce but if you don’t get it early you can’t just expect a purple item later on so you gotta avoid it
@@sevargan2415 It only invalidates them if you have high crit rate, your normal pierce and bounce are still applied when the projectile does not crit, which is why I recommend capping your crit at 40~60%.
You gotta start taking more of the pickup range upgrades man. The further away you can pick coins up from the quicker you can get them, meaning you level faster. And try focusing a bit less on damage or speed reducing upgrades and get some of the one you might not normally go for like dash attacks and stuff. Combine dash attacks with a bunch of AOE boosts in addition to a good crit and speed build and you can be near unstoppable

Another funny interaction: Range upgrades and explosion on taking damage. The money just goes flying everywhere to the point it's multiple screens away. On another note, I was quite sad when I figured out that pierce goes to a maximum of 5 before the game just decides to not pierce anymore. Tried to go for 100% crit and pierce on crit.
@@Schilani That one used to work, think it got changed in a recent update. It was hilarious to pair that with explosions on crit.
actually i think that at the end of the video the enemys were practiclly inmortal, i mean i was watching a random goblin run and i think it took like 20 shots when he was still and full health
Stop taking upgrades that reduce your damage! Crit is easy enough to grow, you don't need to harm your total damage calculation to do so. While attack speed is not as easy to grow, since it's not an additive calculation, most of your good attack speed comes from that standing still upgrade. Otherwise you'll never continue to scale enough for late game which you usually struggle with.

@@veronelle618 no actually, it halves his damage before the crit multiplier, so if his attacks were doing 200 base damage before crit with a 400% crit multiplier that would be 800 each crit before the upgrade with a crit happening around every 3 hits, after the upgrade the base damage would be 100 with 400 on crits. with nearly full crits
and crit chance can only be increased to a cap of 100% while base damage has no cap and the half damage loss is
worse the higher the base, so limiting the exponential number by half to do a flat increase on a value with a cap isn't actually that good.
it's a seemingly good offer that is enticing in the short term but damaging in the long term.

I know it’s not a damaging choice, but I suggest you should get the healing dash and the dash cooldown upgrades.
That’ll make you survive a lot longer than needing to rely on heart drops.

@@diegobaldessarini8347 I know, but I think have 4 dashes that heal and come back faster during those lag spikes instead of two normal dashes would be more helpful than a delayed explosion when dashing.

DF should try the “armoured car” build which is to pick every option for health or speed (dashes included) increases and if there are none then he can choose whichever he wants. This way he is a speedy beefy boi but does very little damage
Everything above 10 health is a bit excessive, if you take heal on dash and recharge all dashes at once. Although it would be quite funny to have 20 health and that upgrade that makes you slower with every point of current health, because that would drop your speed to 0 and you have to dash to even move.
@@Schilani the fact that it is excessive is what makes it funnier. Also I just want to see if there’s a relative cap to how much health you can get.

the projectal speed upgrade is the best upgrade ig imo. normaly at around 4 shots/sec attack speed you shoot 2 times before your arrow reaches the enemy if they're not like right beside you so getting that upgrade doubles your kills per sec plus the damage bonus is great to. game changer every time
Watching this video was awesome there was so much stuff going on, my computer had to restart to handle what I was watching, now that is an achievement, God Speed DF.

I recommend dash build. Tons of damage and mobility
I had like what, 11 dashes? Almost instant cool down, healing per dash, damage before AND after, massive AOE, steamboots, damage when dashing through enemies and high damage, and I made it pretty far.
Hey, DF! I recommend getting the pickup range upgrades so you dont have to wait so much to grab things, and you'll upgrade faster by getting the coins from a distance! It's a very strong thing to have!

DF: I'm gonna restart 1000 times so I can get a special upgrade that let's me get better quality upgrades the whole game.
Also DF: I'm gonna ignore all these purple and gold upgrades in favor of the same gray damage upgrades I always take.
if only there was an add-on that let you shoot while moving but makes you sacrifice something like movement speed or firing speed
There's one that drops lightning on enemies as you move, dealing full base damage with full chance to crit and decent AoE.

What if you JUST stack up attack speed? Would you become a laser? And how quickly could you kill late game stuff with only speed and arrow amount upgraded?
Interesting idea, but mainly because of the lag issue you probably want less but more potent arrows. Having one explosion killing 10 enemies is far batter than having 100 explosions killing the same enemies.

You can cheese the first stage of the bomb boss by standing at his lower right side. If you get the right spot you got a solid ten seconds of uninterrupted damage
Yeah, I found there's a perfect area for the first stage where you can't get hit by the bombs but you don't take damage from touching him.
It bugs me that he left his crit chance on 95%

I think the 4 times attack speed and 3 times lower damage was what made it harder. It would also improve lag with less arrows on screen :P

I think these mobs become pretty much immortal at some point I tried to do garlic aura build with explosions but they must have at least 23253590325 HP because no one was dying past LVL.40

1) Crit chance(up to 100%),2) DMG[including crit dmg] 3) Attack Speed 4) HP[ONLY when you get upgrade that scales your dmg with maximum HP that u had in this video] and movement speed increase like HP>movespeed>hp>movespeed etc

Please take the magnet earlier in the game- It collects more stuff around you so you don't have to move as much to gather the goods. Very good late game investment if got early

i had a build where i got a upgrade that made me do +100% crit then i got the evrytime u doo crit do area of effect damage upgrade plus i had the full auto thing and my shots pierced twice so uh yea my pc almost died
I really hope in those next videos he learns to stop taking that Deputy Focus upgrade... His run always goes downhill after he grabs it. But he did learn to put all the enemies in the same direction as the deputies this time

speed improvements + the ability to summon lightning when walking two meters. I've killed bosses without shooting an arrow, just for the laughs.
have you considered unlocking other characters? they aren't that much of game changer, but it should be fun.
I'll just throw this out there, but Ollin has the ability to deal _massive_ damage to hordes even without any upgrades. He'd fit right in with DF's playstyle.
