Mission: The soldiers that had managed to escape Black Mesa certainly didn't have it easy from there; The frightened and confused disarray of initial alien attackers was nothing compared to what followed them into our world; the Combine would have our world surrender within hours.

A little odd that there's a WWII tiger tank mixed in there, but I can imagine the resistance pulled it out of a museum or something, needing all the firepower they can get.

No, there is only one working tiger tank in the world, that's the tiger 131, located in the Bovington Tank Museum in the UK. There is no way that they'd be able to find the right ammunition for its guns or amything.

I think it's not really a "Uniform" but rather just cobbled together military grade armor but then again they all look the same

They looked awseome!
It was mostly because they were worried of Unsatisfying gameplay, but in my opinion would've made the game awesome and expanded lore.
Because they, as Talendril said, were poorly designed gameplay-wise. They were also too "unimaginative" and looked too "human-like" for the developers so they replaced them with striders and such.
Well someone once was fighting against them in Garrys mod and then it was apparent that a lot of them weren’t fun and fair to fight and the guns barely any damage to the enemies
Amazing. My favorite interpretation of the 7 hour war, almost extraordinarily Perfect. I don't think they'd be able to create Overwatch soldiers so fast but besides that this is just amazing. You sir earned a sub!
I think maybe they could. Think about it. They knew everything about earth they attacked in strategic places and knew how to cripple earths entire forces, which would explain the uniforms probably already designed.
Since Half Life 2 takes place in the Eastern European region fo the world, I wonder what happened to the USA, since it was the start of the whole event?

I've always wondered what was going on, especially since the first concept/screen shots were supposed to be in a "dark american city" as the wiki says, then they moved it to a "bright european city" which always kind've pissed me off since I could imagine them doing it really well, but that is what drove me to do this on one hand, I want to show whats going on in the remnants of north america. great question though and thanks again, hopefully sooner than later more will come!

Those are the Combine Super Soldiers that were cut from Half-Life 2. Also, they are synthetics, not robots. There's a difference.

The real definition of synthetic is: (of a substance) made by chemical synthesis, especially to imitate a natural product.
However, Half-Life uses its own meaning for this word and calls them Synths.
Synth is the term for a class of alien creatures turned into war machines, and one of the several species that make up the Combine organization. They are officially described as "self-replicating robots that evolve", "created or taken over by the Combine and enslaved during their conquests and wars." Most Synths seem to possess both organic and robotic characteristics, suggesting that they may be the cyborg derivatives of alien races that were previously enslaved by the Combine and assimilated into its armed forces.

Truly incredible! Advisors were missing, but I love your choices of music and the more obscure Combine characters such as the Combine Super Soldier, Crab Synth, Synth Elite Soldier, Cremator, Combine Guard, and I even saw a cameo of the Mortar Synth. I loved it, absolutely spectacular! I also love the more realistic approach you took with this and the previous videos. The ones with SNPCs fighting each other in Big City were good, but this is great! Thank you for your existence, and keep up the great work!
SkaarjWarrior Sure there were. The Advisors weren't created, because they were the actual aliens that invaded Earth, that created "The Combine" empire. If I remember correctly, they built Gunships for the war too, but I'm not sure.
Gunships weren't "built". Gunships are synths. Basically think about that Gunship beign an huge alien before the combine invaded their world,took the huge aliens,brainwashed them and then applied some armor and robotic things to it. Basically same as the Combine Soldiers which were humans before they were "changed".

What I don't get
All military forces lose against combine in 7 hours.
Somehow Gordon Freeman and like 20 rebels somehow take on an army of striders and win.
1. Its because the combine invaded surprisingly, the forces never none at all.
2. It's because he's Gordon Freeman after all.

Those are some combine super soldier and machine that are cut in the actual HF 2,, it would be awesome if Valve never cut it. .

I'm sorry but this is total BS. I mean, i appreciate your hard work creating this video, but the whole process of invasion done completely wrong.
First, there was the Resonance Cascade. Xenians started to teleport all around Black Mesa, under and above ground. Military was sent to for cleanup and so far was successful at it. But with time HECU started to get overwhelmed by Xenian forces. Later Freeman teleported to Xen and eventually killed Nihilanth, the leader of Xenians. Therefore a lot of it's slaves like vortigaunts was set free, but still continues to teleport on Earth and being hostile to humans.
Portal storms began. Xenians started to teleport all around the USA, then the rest of the world. Open, non-urban areas was infested with alien creatures, making it inhabitable for humans. So people started to flee to the large cities, where it was safer, with all the military presence. Military itself git weaker and weaker due to the constant and unpredictable xenian attacks. That process happen not in days, but in moths, if not years.
Only then, after years, when the entire human race was weakened and exosted, Combine make a move and initiated an instantaneous teleportation of it's Citadels into all major cities. Peoples were shocked, but the real nightmare came when suddenly a hostile bio-synthetic creatures started to come out from the Citadels. It was mostly yet unseen aerial units, accompanied with the ground strike units like crab and mortar synths. It wasn't even a real battle, but more like a slaughter. Weaken human military wasn't match for overwhelming Combine forces. There was no Apache facing Combine gunships, there was no so called "earth resistance", at least until events of HL2. Obviously there was no Overwatch soldiers either, they're came much later after invasion.
That is the point of 7 hour war - there wasn't a real war, not even a battle. It was a showcase of Combine might, to wich unprepared humans had no choice but surrender. Or get destroyed completely.

+T-1000 be happy he put time to doing this, valve and gearbox sure as hell don't care anymore. this is the closest to accurate anyone has done as far as i'm concerned, sure there might be flaws but he isn't the writer of the story.

Did it look like a nuke was going to help? A nuke is the reason the combine came to earth in the first place
they probably didn't want to cuz they'll be nuking themselves and besides, they probably didn't have time either because the combine were literally everywhere like there was almost no escape
I would have loved to see the HECU do battle with combine troops.
The whole video is totally wrong.
First, the 7 hour war wasn't set in Black Mesa facilities, the event in Black Mesa was the Resonance Cascade which opened a portal between XEN and the EARTH.
Second, HECU soldiers were send there just to wipe out everything from XEN. When they found out that they can't do it, they deployed a NUKE at Black Mesa and wiped out everything.
During the deployment and detonation of the nuke, Freeman was already in XEN, fighting his way to The Nihilanth.
When Freeman kills The Nihilanth, he's offered a job by G-Man. Freeman accepts the offer and he's being put in stasis for around 20 years.
After that, portals are opened all around the EARTH, and the Combine notices this and decides to make their move on EARTH, using XEN as a bridge, which the Combine uses to travel between their world and EARTH. This is the first time that combine touches EARTH's soil. This is when the 7 Hour war begins.
During the 7 Hour War, those were the only "soldiers" that the Combine used: 5:46
At 6:02 you see a dropship deploying Combine soldiers, which are HUMANS. And those soldiers are started to be "hired" by the Combine AFTER the 7 Hour War, under slavery. Whoever was done with the shitty living under Combine slavery, had a chance to decide to surrender and become a COMBINE SOLDIER/CIVIL PROTECTION/PRISON GUARD in the Combine's OVERWATCH enforcement. Else if he doesn't agree, he's gonna be mutilated and tortured and turned into a Combine STALKER working in the interior of The Citadel.
There was no resistance and no Pulse rifles during the 7 Hour War, as those were created long after the 7 Hour War.
As you can see in the game itself it says: "Combine standard issue" Used by the COMBINE ELITES and COMBINE SOLDIERS.
After the 7 Hour War was over, the Combine opened a large portal over soon to be called CITY 17, and sending The Citadel, and making the late Black Mesa manager, Dr. Breen the "world president" of the now enslaved EARTH.
Everything that the Combine fought with were Combine SYNTHS like the Combine Gunship/Dropship, Striders and other un-used NPCs from the early Half-Life 2 beta.
The CREMATORS were made by HUMANS in factories, after the Combine won, and they were used to clean dead bodies and such from the street of City 17 and else, not fight in a war. (although they do attack you in the Beta, if told to)
I'm sure that there are even more things that are wrong in this video, but this is the most simples and most important things that had to be said...
