Has just 26 minutes to make a painting, spends 6 minutes talking about A Better Tomorrow.
Love this guy to bits.
Darth KEK many times he would talk so the canvas would absorb the Magic White. Then the next layer would go on easier. He was great to listen to though.
He had a small supply store in Salem, Or., where we lived. I saw one of his videos on PBS, and because he made it look so easy, I decided I could be the next Picasso. Went to his store, bought a bunch of stuff, and when we (wife and I) were leaving, he pulled up in his car, which was a bit surreal. I introduced myself, we chatted for a moment, shook hands, and parted ways; he was very gracious. Some of his paintings were on display in his shop and they were beautiful. The things he could do with more than 30 minutes to work with was amazing. "Darker Darker Darker!"
The philosopher painter. He was such a joy to watch and listen to.
I grew up with Bob Ross's show, but since I discovered Mr. Alexander this year, he's almost all that I watch. I try to introduce him to other people as often as i can.
I had the pleasure of meeting Bill after he did a painting in a local mall back during the 80s. What a wonderful man. May he rest in peace.
Bill was great.
Thanks for another great video by the great Bill Alexander.
Bob Ross's teacher I believe. Used to watch him on pbs back in the 80s.
Thank you for uploading this slice of sunshine!🌞
I adore this guy. He’s an inspiration and a wise guide and mystic.
Another great painting. So cool
This man brought so much happiness to so many, love Bill.
I love The opening motivational speech. Such a nice man. I wish I could have met him.
I met him many years ago throught Walter Foster's books fecturing Bill Alexander teaching his Wet on Wet tecniques. I copy one of his example paintings. It came out most beautiful. Althought I also have keeping out painting, the only painting hanging in my dining room is that one. It has been there many many years, It is my inspiration. It will be there forever, like the king of the pack. Bless dear Sir. I never can feel you are gone, for you are here now, kind, generous, showing us, not just how to paint easily, but also how to be better people.
You are an almighty artist Bill..... what an amazing personality!
What an amazing teaching!
What an amazing way to talk!
So nice to hear!
Great!!!
Look, I know that Bob Ross is better known (only due to better marketeers) but Mr. Alexander is truly the quintessential artist - a sage who knows that all art is a celebration of life, pure and simple. Godspeed to you Herr Alexander wherever you are - Kunst uber alles! ("art over everything").
This is truly a blessing. He lives
Thank you for your comment and thank you for watching.
Good morning vibes+ASMR(Awakening mode)=the Almighty Bill Alexander! Thank you so much for the upload!
Haven't seen him since I was a kid and one of his episodes on PBS brought on Bob Ross. I miss them so much!!!!
Ah great. We need more Bill Alexander videos.
Nobody did it better than the true master.
I've been watching him not only for his beautiful art,but also for his amazing attitude towards life. Simply love him🤗so unique
Very nice and the color is great and the water the trees have natural color
Liked before watched. Bill will always make me smile and feel a bit better in this cruel world. He's such a wonderful human being. Thx for the uploads. Always nice to get notified there's another Bill Alexander video up. Have a nice week!
Love you! Made my morning, my day, my week and shines a light on my life even with my terrible health. Enjoyed watching your art tutorials.😘
Alexander was, Bob Ross's teacher. You'll notice Bob used some of his teachers phrases. All mighty trees, all mighty brush, mighty mountain.
He was the inventor of wet on wet, Ross was his very good student. In my opinion, they were very different artist, I feel bob was more realistic and Alexander's art was loose, free much more abstract.
Actually the wet on wet technique is quite old and goes back to the Renaissance I believe.
Man I don't know what I've came across but it got me a smile from cheek to cheek :)
You are sadly missed, Herr Alexander!
I love his video's! So relaxing and inspiring to watch. Thanks for uploading. Keep them comming!

Incredible , like a magic music is Alexander artistic world.
Amazing.
Thanks again.
Just signed up for the master class :) yay
Bob was Great, a god at what he did, Bill was his creator the singularity that Bob came from, both almighty artists. Love them both equally.
At the end he was like DID U ENJOY THAT! 😂❤️
Standing there at the start with a brush i would paint a house with.ha ha.
Thank you!
BRAVO LOVE YOU ❤❤❤
Phantastisch 👍😊🤩
FIRE IT INTO THE CANVAS BILL !
I hate to say it but he needs more credit than Bob Ross gets
Without Bill, there would have been no Bob. Bill taught Bob everything he knew.. if you watch Bob's first episode of season one he tells the audience this! Bob even "stole"/borrowed? Bill's "Almighty".. The palette knife Bob uses was patented by Bill, it was his design. Bill with the help of a chemist invented the Magic White that makes wet on wet possible.. Bob even "stole"/borrowed this.. in his "Liquid White".. Bob has become the cultural icon for some reason, when it's really Bill behind everything.
J,adore merci
The Mentor for Bob Ross, genius man that was Alexander!
I can see Bob ross now in a wife beater and a ball bat making him sign over
I can't believe I hadn't remembered ever seeing this guy, I like how he calls things "all mighty", for some reason it makes me laugh
I remember watching his shows on PBS
(Back then, you only had 4 channels: ABC, CBS, NBC & PBS) If I remember correctly, there were rumors of a New Channel around the corner on the UHF frequency (Fox Chanel 14).
sorcerer!
Fast forward to the six minute mark that’s when he actually starts painting
went on to rule in Valhalla!
I recommend getting a copy of the Bill Alexander story from Amazon. It tells all about Bill"s life. He was the almighty master. And now he is with the lord.
Bob: I’m just gonna give this little stone a friend, let’s name him Harold.
Bill: This is a MIGHTY canvas, and a MIGHTY pallet, with a MIGHTY brush!
I’ve heard of a cabin-ectomy, but a cabin shrubbery is much better..
Almighty mann he vas!
i love him hes like a baby he has a baby voice
Bill Alexander. The God father painting Love it
❤❤❤❤
Less talk; more paint?
The leaf blower was a nice touch!
Aired on Monday, April 14, 1980
This technique has been used for hundreds of years. Rembrandt painted wet on wet. As well as many others. It's a fantastic technique, and I love Bill - but it's not "his" creation.
☄️🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
He was in WW2. On the other side. Hehe.
He was Positive Vibes before that Phrase and Meme Positive Vibes became popular
I know that horrible sound, the landscapers!
Bill was born in the German Empire during the reign of Kaiser Wilhelm II in 1915.
Kinda feels like Alexander had more of a pure passion to paint, while bob had a more formulaic, "I do this as a hobby" vibe.
I have a feeling Bill is in heaven and that God and him refer to each other as Mr. & Mr. Almighty :)
According to Alexa Bill is 105 years old
Did you miss Bob ross
All of a sudden, Oh look at that ,Fire in ,fire in ,It,s as simple that volks. Vonderful guy...
That funny accent
Somebody starts loudly vacuuming around 13:00!
