Pre pandemic I came across a green cruet in green crackle glass for a Euro with a stopper at the thrift store. I'm kicking myself for not buying it. I thought it was damaged so I didn't buy it. I didn't know enough about glass at the time. I've learned since then from watching George the Antique Nomad and Peggy & Norm from Crazy 4 Retro. It's all a learning process. :) I can remember as a kid and teenager going to garage sales in Texas in the 80's and passing up glass shoes like the ones you showed. They'd be like 10 cents, 25 cents, 50 cents. Same with milk glass vases. I'd pass it all up not exactly thinking it was junk but your priorities were different in what you spent your money on then. Sure wish I had a time machine. I'm loving the Christmas corner. What a great idea.
Awe ! Yes friend it is a process over time .....being taught and included in the yard sales or flea markets obviously helped me ! ...thank you for your share friend ! And its never too late to have fun collecting ! 🌴😎🍍
As you talk about the glass making I imagine strong and manly men making such precious treasures for us to fuss about for years. The toothpick holders are darling.
So, up to today I honestly never heard of crackle and amber glass, so this was a very interesting video for me. Thanks for sharing, love your personality! Beautiful collection, great job on opening the doors too! 👍👍😊
Thanks so much friend, we were laughing alot watching the video for the first time with that one. You can see the strings on the big TV. Lol.😂 It was fun to dig out the treasures from the cabinet.😊
That crackle glass is beautiful. And I really enjoyed your music tonight. I dont have one piece of it. The amber glass is stunning. And I have just started collecting it along with the green glass in the last year.the plate collection is nice. And I love finding Christmas things when its 110 degrees outside. Great video thank you
Thankyou Tammi I am finding new music sights for free copyright free music. It is in our description box these two sights have quite alot to choose from. Both of these collections we havnt added to in years . We have been into the porcelain and statues and art in the past few years so it was fun to get it out and look at it. You are so great and thank you so much for watching my friend!😊❤
What an Awesome collection , I must comment on one item . I have two clear canoes , if you look down into the bottom it has a place to put a very small candle , maybe birthday candle size .I was told it was used in olden days as a candle night light when there was no electricity . Just wanted to share the little tid bit of information.
Thankyou so much! We love antiques and collecting. We go to antique fairs and flea markets often. We still see alot of this glass for sale out there. So many beautiful things to see and great deals to be had!😁❤
