- GIANT radio controlled (RC) 'FOKKER 70' AIRLINER PASSENGER JET
Powered by two PST130 micro turbine engines this 1/6th scale Fokker 70 Airliner gets in the air rapidly and cruises around the sky.
The Fokker company of the Netherlands started to develop the airliner in November 1992 with an aim to replace its aging Fokker F28 airliner, with a more modern and fuel efficient aircraft. The Fokker 70's first flight occurred on 4 April 1993, at the company's base at Woensdrecht in southern Netherlands, and had a duration of three hours. Following its first flight, the Fokker 70 was flown to Granada and Spain, where many hours were logged in order to obtain the certification at the end of 1994. The first production aircraft first flew in July 1994. Certification was granted on 14 October 1994, while the first delivery of a Fokker 70 to a customer, Ford Motor Company (in an "Executive Jet" configuration), occurred later in the same month. The launch customer of this aircraft by an airline was the now-defunct Indonesian airline, Sempati Air.
Filmed at LMA Cosford Show using the Panasonic AG-UX180 4K pro camcorder by 'Dom Mitchell' of Essential RC RUclips channel.

When that thing gets in the air it’s almost impossible to tell it’s RC!
Now THAT take off DON'T get any better than that!
These behemoths looks so real taxiing the tarmac and taking off!
Incredible lift!
Thanks for this smashing video!
What the hell is tArMaC!!?
The take off was very realistic, awesome.
This is really great, great to see soo many RC channels out there, keep up the good work people :)
Wow Beautiful model that flies stunningly! Nice to see that pilot did not have to walk out onto the runway and stand behind the model to takeoff like the majority of people have to do over in Europe for some silly reason. Glad to see some pilots in Europe can actually steer a model on the runway using their rudder while not having to stand behind it. Thank you!!!!!!!!!
Super cool, looks, flys and sounds scale!
Very nice Model and Video, thanks for sharing Essential RC Amazing detailed airbrake Fantastic.
What a take off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love the Air Brakes!`
Très belle machine, bien pilotée, le décollage est vraiment réaliste ! Bravo.
Great model perfect
Very nice
Amazing! On camera it has all the presence of the real article.
beautiful F28! great flying too!
This is an F-70
NOW THAT'S EXCELLENCE AWESOME VIDEO TAKE OFF, LANDING AND GEAR GOING UP AND COMING DOWN...!!! BRAVO OUTSTANDING FOOTAGE!!! GREAT JOB!!! ;-)
Magnificent, incredible model & flight, but would've loved to see something a bit out-of-the-box for a regional airliner, like a simple roll or loop. Just imagine Tex Johnson rolling the Boeing 707!
That is one big
Amizing that maplane
Very nice !
Nice work
Omg. I want one of this! ❤️ ❤️
Beautiful...
Cool
What the, are those ground spoilers wired to a WOW switch? Impressive either way.
The spoilers are operated by a second pilot on another transmitter who also controls the flaps and undercarriage.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Wouahhhhh...quel magnifique avion !!! What a beautiful plane, How fast does it fly ? Very very nice !!!
The model has true airspeed telemetry. The max speed attained was 110 mph while I try to fly at around 50-60 mph for a more realistic appearance. Landing and take off speed is 38 mph.
@@paulbellinger7446 Thank you for informations !
Just mount RC controls on a full scale airliner already and fly those remotely. 1:1 scale action.
Great video thanks, what's the cost to purchase and maintenance?
Buddy...these are one off designed and scratch built. You can't buy them in a shop. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
Je veux le même !!!
I'm late My Apologies When this Big Oh Jet Airliner took off it was like being at the airport ! Believe it or not back when you could go to airport with out a boarding pass I sneak out of my house and go to Airport to wAtch takeoff and landing at night and dream about flying in school. Kid don't do as I say or u end up like me today! U don't want that Till I get rich that is in the plan when I get around to it.
