I love how on part 3 everything is improv. You can hear the bass dropping out long enough to change his sound for the solo. Then he charges it back again to hold the bottom down while the guitar takes over.

@@barrysmith8920I remember seeing Ponty live in performance and a fan yelled out, please play "Once Upon A Blue Planet" and Ponty simply replied, "we play what we want". I was like, FU you then.

@@KenSerpico5450 Would’ve had a greater impression on Ponty if the fan said the song’s name correctly 🥳

@@barrysmith8920 Perhaps, however, you're missing the point. Even if the fan would have yelled out, please play Once A 'Red' Planet, he did not have to be so rude. He could have remained silent or just say we'll try.

How is this music defined? Jazz? Rock? Progressive rock? Funk? Fusion?.....For me it has all the best parts of all the music I love...the groove is just unmatchable!

I describe it as Jazz Fusion, the same category as I would place Return to Forever.

You might very well enjoy Uriah Heep's opus 'Salisbury' from the album of the same name. It's epic, orchestral, a little Jazzy and one fun ride! Mikael Akerfeldt is a fan.

Is Allan the soloist on the original album from 2.29 into part.3? Or is it Stuermer? Its a magical solo.
