I tested this engine in an Opel Astra of my work. It seems to me a grest engine although a little bit worst than the 1.6 Dci of Renault. Moving the Insignia, offers good perfirmances and consumption. A great car and a great review!!!!
But for insignia is bit weak with 1.6L diesel, almost no torque below 2000 or 2500 rpm, better 2.0L and automatic, manual transmission was not so good for me, astra was bit better
@@TESTDRIVEFREAK I understand what you say. A lot if people think that 136 Cv are the same in a 1.6,than in a 2.0 l but that's not true.....
Just the video I was looking for, currently drive 2014 Opel Insignia 2.0 140PS. Thinking of one of these, thank you
I woult rather get 2.0L diesel and automatic, 1.6L is bit weak bcs no power under 2000 or 2500 rpm, you have to shift down.
@@TESTDRIVEFREAK Thank you, but it's hardly any much slower than my current insignia I imagine
Daniel 1 I have the older 2 litre 163 bhp diesel. Still very good on fuel but I’ve heard the 2 litre 170 bhp engine is a lot thirstier as it’s a bi-turbo.
Also even this 1.6 is thirstier than an Octavia 2 litre diesel which has nearly as much space.
Marko D13 you’re right I got confused with BMW’s 2 litre diesel. Nevertheless it’s got an electronic actuator making the turbo spool up quicker and more torque so it was always going to use more fuel than the 163 bhp A20dth engine. I think the Octavia comparison is valid - they both have similar boot and similar space inside.
@@daveb0789 The BMW 2 litre is not twin turbo either, it's twin scroll turbo. Single turbo.
Good video...I love opel cars!!!!
it eats more fuel then 2 liter engines with similar&higher power
It looks like very good alternative for premium brands. Very quiet at high speed. Looks good to drive to. What do you think?
It was bit loud on higher speed, but i would rather at least 170 hp and automatic, or at least 165 hp petrol/benzin engine :)
@@TESTDRIVEFREAK i have that 1,6 (136hp) diesel automatic and friend of mine has that 170hp petrol engine with automatic...and she said to me, after driving my car, that the 136hp diesel feels much quicker than 170hp petrol...must be the torgue of diesel engine what makes that feeling
Beautiful car👍
Gosto.
muito. Desta. Carrinha
Класс машина👍
Все круто
10.28 seconds to 62 mph shows how heavy the estate version of the car is 😔. The hatch back is 1 second faster.
It shows how slow car are!! With that avensis few years ago and 112hp it was faster
Mr11ESSE111 that’s a much lighter car surely ?
@@daveb0789 no it's not,around same weight
Mr11ESSE111 Avensis is about 1500 kg this car is 1800 kg
It consume more fuel then stronger 2 and 3 liter engines
Yep Audi 2.0 diesel 190 bhp engine uses less fuel.
@@daveb0789 Mercedes S class with 3 liter engine 265/258hp consume less and not only on higher speeds then on lower ones too
Mr11ESSE111 im not sure about that. Check constant 140 kph fuel consumption on this channel - it’s quite higher than a 2 litre I think.
@@daveb0789 I am sure because I think he tested S class too and some others and numbers was lower
Mr11ESSE111 you’re right the S class does only 6l/100 km at 140 kph

rechts fahren auf der Autobahn ist wohl total out!
