I live in the highlands of Scotland. I’m very lucky in that I see red squirrels in my garden during the day and at night I get pine marten. I’ve seen wild cats but only a handful of times, they really are quite easy to tell apart from a moggy their tail is ringed and is like a baseball bat. I’ve seen a capercaillie but only once, although I’ve heard them calling a number of times without laying eyes on them. I am sometimes treated to the majestic golden eagles too, they’re an awesome sight.
Like I say I’m very lucky.

If the Scottish wild is domesticated then doesn't that make it just a cat? Looking at them on video is nothing compared to being in person.
Your bird crisis could use some ideas used by the Wild Turkey Federation. The wild Turkey was almost extinct in the US and through education, breeding & reintroduction has brought this bird back from its decline.
