If you tried this much extensive structural work here in NZ, the vehicle testing guys would be going over it with a microscope before letting it get a WoF again. Is it easier there? Anyway, nice welding!
The rules seem to be a bit easier over here. You should repair the car as it was manufactured, or if you weld in a patch it needs to be fully welded. its all a bit grey because it depends on the tester. And hopefully if i get the car finished in the next year i will only need to get it through one test then it will be exempt.
I miss these days.
