I lost robin 50/50 I lost topaz 50/50, and before all that I lost aventurine 50/50, and now I don't have enough jades for topaz, it seems I am not building that FUA team 💀
Did you pull on a lc banner or standard banner? The pitty from those don't transfer over I think. You should have guaranteed one of the characters if you lost that many times
Real answer is: don't pull. With the amount of powercreep we're getting we should be saving until your account isn't able to clear content and only then consider pulling. This or pull whoever you like, disregard the meta. But if you'd be pulling only the characters you like then you wouldn't be here, would you?
I pulled topaz for personal reasons already (I like her overworld utility and it's satisfying to hit a lot of fuas) I don't need the fua team to be super cracked cause I have an OP Jingliu and DoT team lol. I just wanted to hear his thoughts.
Not that straightforward - limited supports have had infinite longevity so far. Robin is BiS for FuA comps and I don't see that changing until years down the line. We might get FuA comps that don't want a Harmony but for FuA comps that do, Robin will be the best for the foreseeable future. Moreover, we get enough pulls for an Express + BP buyer to get (on average) an E0 copy of every character in the game. F2Ps are somewhat behind but there's no reason to be this stingy with your pulls - it frankly will just make the game more boring for most people. This game is easy and generous enough for there to be absolutely no reason to be as conservative as most people in this community seem to be.
@@27Ganon not too sure about Robin will stay best FuA support for a long time. For that to be true, her attacks should have counted as FuA attacks and not "additional attacks" (or at least trigger on all targets of an aoe attack not just one). FuA triggering FuA is in my opinion the main theme to strive for which is why I personally think Topaz is the last character to get powercrept, unless they release 2 dps that abuse FuA the way Topaz does and better. Who really cares though, I pulled Topaz and want the best for her :D
I lost my 50/50 to bronya so I went for Topaz and she’s really fun lmao that follow up attack is crazy. So I’ll be getting Robin when she comes out next time cause I have two months to save for Firefly/sam and Jade.. I saw what I saw and yeah I’m Getting them both
I rolled hard for Topaz (E1S1) because I'm a goon, but she really made me realize how much I love FUA. Getting Clara while saving for her helped, as did having Blade and Jing Yuan beforehand. Absolutely no regrets at all, I'd say she's necessary for FUA. Then again, I never considered Jade could be an AOE FUA Enabler. Since I have Ruan Mei and Sparkle already (and recently got Bronya), I don't really think I'll roll for Robin despite her obvious advantage with FUA teams because I dunno if it'll be that big a difference; if halfway through the banner it seems to be otherwise based on creators' observations, maybe I'll try to get Robin. F2P as well so "Roll on all of them" isn't in the cards. Aventurine also just bled my jades dry, so I'd have to get lucky with those free warps.
This was my situation too but I chose Robin over Topaz even though I have Ruan Mei and Bronya and built a Ratio Hypercarry with Aven and SW instead of IPC FUA team. Topaz is good but given that Ratio is debuff reliant and needs consistent 3-5 debuffs on the enemies. At E0S0 she can only land 1 and that's where her Sig LC or E1 or both becomes a must for her to be an effective SubDPS and Debuffer for Ratio. It already costs a lot of jades to an eidolon or their Sig LC because you need to secure getting the character first. I've always believed that pulling Eidolons and Sig LC should be optional because having new characters is more important in this game since it gives you a wide roster of team comps and characters needed. With regards to Topaz, I guess she's the character where in cases that you don't have her and plan to build a Ratio FUA team, make sure you can secure either E1S0, E0S1, or E1S1." but of course, for those who really like her, this factor can be disregarded.
Well, i COULD grab topaz but this is the second time ive lost on her banner, first to bronya on her first run and now to clara e2. I got robin and her LC in barely any pulls before that but im not using my guaranteed on topaz e0s0, ill just save for firefly and build a breaker team, my Fua team works pretty well as is, having all the pieces except her but unfortunately i just cant win on topaz.
I've also lost Topaz twice. To Welt. He came home instead of Kafka too. He's E4 now 🤣🥲 Boy, would I ever have loved a Himeko or Clara instead. At least not Ice Boy or Dragon Girl. I don't want any more of them either 🙅🏻♀️

TLDR: Yes if u didnt get Ruan Mei or Sparkle. Yes if you give a shit about FUA teams, which in this case gives more incentive to pull Jade. Otherwise, Hard Skip. Personally, Im skipping Boothill to save for Firefly and Jade.
Thing is, Sparkle and Bronya focus more on hyper-carries like DHIL and Jingliu, while Ruan Mei and Robin focus on teams like DoT and FuA. So even if you have Sparkle, you'd still have a good reason to pull Robin.
Hey thanks for the vid! I thought my dreams of followup comp were doomed since i used all my pities to e1s1 aventurine, then i got topaz in 2 tickets! After that i went in for her lc, lost the 75/25 to Night on the Milky Way at 5 pity, then pulled Worrisome Blissful 2 tickets later. This banner has been a roller coaster of emotions LOL hoping i can squeeze one last lucky 5 star on robin but im happy with this if I cant
Ended up using my ~150ish pulls to Robin and Topaz LC. Already had Topaz & Numby themselves from their initial run. So I have Topaz/Ratio/Robin without Aventurine though. Now I have Harmony options for everything but excessive SP usage since I skipped Sparkle. I got Support options for Break, FUA, and Hyper-Carry. Shouldn't have to worry about Harmony 5*s for at least the rest of the 2.X series. Now I'm in the debate of pick 2, Fu Xuan LC (Got Fu Xuan 1st Run), Firefly, or Jade. I think I'll end up sitting on resources until Firefly/Jade kits get revealed to decide my picks. I get the feeling Firefly will be the one pushed aside since after Jingliu/Blade/Himeko I don't think she has a good chance of providing something my setups can't cover already. In Jade's case, I didn't take Argenti or Jing Yuan, and Serval/Himeko are more midway between Erudition and Destruction. Then for Quantum coverage I don't have Seele, I mostly use Xueyi for that.
Had this dilemma patch day. Then I won the 50-50 on Topaz at 45 pity, then got her LC at 50 pity. Then won the 50-50 on Robin and got her E1 the next 10 pull. Aventurine clutched up to bring his teammates home
I think you give Topass too much praise, you really don’t need her in a FuA comp because she doesn’t do much for it unless her attacks help trigger other characters effects as the case with Ratio, Adventurine and Robin. Her damage buff is mid asf. So if Jade doesn’t have a mechanic where FuA help trigger her effects Topass is useless for Jade
The Same argument can be said for Jade, other then the 30 SPD, you don't need her in a AOE FUA comp cuz that SPD buff could be replaced with Hanya or Asta's SPD buff, So maybe you can extend it to "Hypercarry FUA Is the only Way Your Coping if you say otherwise and Replace Topaz with any other DPS and your FUA DPS will be doing the Same Damage!" and that we need a FUA Enabler that Outbuffs the Best Harmony and Nihility (Which Of course Hoyo won't allow unless they Introduce FUA mechanics to a Harmony or Nihility debuffer)
Running Jade in a fua comp doesnt look ideal to begin with because of the hp drain. She will likely be best used as a subdps for destruction characters (ideally ones that do aoe), and sustain healers (not sustain shielders like aventurine). A fua comp without topaz isnt really a fua team, its either more likely looking like a hyper carry team or a double (sub) dps team like himeko and herta - which only really works in pure fiction.
Lol, you defeated your own argument -- Topaz triggers everyone (including you, apparently). Topaz also deals respectable damage and has high attack frequency, which makes her an excellent breaker, too.

Jade might do something completely different. Topaz buffs FUA, and Aventurine benefits off of FUA. Both benefit off of FUA, so she probably will as well. However cus she's new, Jade has a high chance of doing something new.
Honestly, I was going to get her anyway because I run DoT and Jingliu, so had no real reason to pull for sparkle but something that can at least do a decent impression of a 'second ruan mei' is a big upgrade for me, ended up owning the full followup team along the way and it is a really neat team, I just don't like Ratio so I'm messing around with Clara and stuff.
Man I regret pulling E2 S1 Robin over Topaz.. All she did was basically replace Tingyun on my b team for MOC.. People have recency bias thinking she's anywhere NEAR E1 s1 Mei
She felt kinda mid at E0 then I pulled 2 in 1 summon.. After getting Topaz LC, skipping Robin altogether and just getting E1 Topaz would've been a better move for my account.. I may snipe singles for Topaz E1, but E6 Sam is where my money is going.. Sam artwork is what got me to download the game

i wanna build ratio soon, but don't know if i should try to get robin or topaz (if hypercarry ratio or dual dps is better). i have ruan mei, and could use a team like: ratio, topaz, aventurine, ruan mei. my question is, is it more worth to pull robin, to replace ruan mei, or go for topaz for dual dps with ruan mei. i have every harmony except for robin so far, so for hypercarry, i could use sparkle or tingyun. there's no way i could get topaz' lightcone, so i would have to go with swordplay. for harmony i'd have dance dance dance.
Robin gave my follow up comb an real boost, I actually 40k pointed PF4 round 1 in current Pure fiction with 1 turn left and garbage Robin traces. So I can definitely recommend her for pure fiction reasons alone. Also have Topaz, but personally for me it felt less impactful as compared. Pure fiction team: Himiko/Herta/Robin/Ruan Mei Team 1 Acheron/pela/BS/Gallagher Team 2 Tried out Topaz in Team1 but, it didn’t provide enough follow up atks since himiko is reliant on broken opponents so put ruan Mei in instead.
Might Get into the Dreamy Aspects that are currently in Beta (If you don't wanna look, then you can wait for Closer to Jade's Release for the Synergies) I don't know why People think that it's wrong to theorize that she might be a FUA character (What do you think she'll be then) A Quantum DPS that Powercreeps Seele and QQ and is designed to be Hypercarry. If you want her being a FUA DPS to be comfirmed to you. Wait for Livestream in Early June. (But from what I have been seeing she's AOE Topaz (but Designed for AOE FUA Characters that Perfectly Synergize with Her. Here are what I think about her Synergies below (Don't Click if you'd rather wait towards Closer to Jade's Release to think about Synergies) Jade and Himeko will have a anti-synergy when it comes to (15% CR above 80% HP Talent) cuz some HP Draining Shenanigans are going on and if you have E1 Himeko, (It gives you a Similar sized SPD Boost So I'd Skill on Herta rather then Himeko and get them either to 2 turns in a Cycle (134 SPD) or 4 turns in 2 Cycles (160 SPD) Topaz and Aventurine can Work with Jade, but Topaz and Aventurine need to be Built Quite fast as (Topaz only counts towards 2 HIts), and Aventurine fast so you can Retrigger his 3 Follow ups towards his FUA faster. (Asta/Robin/Ruan Mei can Easily take the 4th Slot) Jing Yuan could be good with Jade for the 2 turns before LL gets a lot easier with ATK boots, but other then having a Nice dual DPS between Two eruditions, but all Jing Yuan gets is SPD. E1S1 Topaz or Asta/Hanya/Tingyun would be better for the General then Jade. (And Asta and Hanya already give SPD Boosts. Maybe the Anti Synergy between Himeko and Jade could be fixed with Loucha & Maybe Huohuo. (Huohuo would need to Skill more Often) while Loucha would need a lot of ERR to consistently have his Healing field up. Herta and Jade work together Really Well (You might want Aventurine/Fu/Gepard as Herta's HP isn't the Highest. Unless you wanna do IPC+ Ratio comps in SU or outside of SU or your willing to put a Debuffer or E0S1/E1S1 Topaz over a Buffer in the 3rd Slot, Don't Run Ratio and Jade together. Ratio only gives 1-2 stacks towards her 8 Stack FUA and needs a debuffer to consistently apply that Second stack to Jade. E0S0 Topaz (With Debuffer rather then Buffer) E0S1 or E1S1 Topaz (With Harmony rather then Debuffer) Pela, SW, and any Harmony unit work better with Ratio then Jade. Blade and Jade have some Interesting Dual DPS synergy with each other (Blade would love the SPD while Forgoing SPD boots for HP Boots) and you can get his FUA faster from another source (Other then Jingliu or Lynx) put Ruan Mei, Robin, Or if you have some vertical Investment into Sparkle, she can also work) Lastly, Clara, Clara doesn't want SPD and I don't know what the HP Drain would do for her other then make her less Tanky against enemies, E0/E1/S1 Topaz/Pela/Tingyun/Ruan Mei/Sparkle/Robin are better in a Clara Comp. I'm not gonna mention Arlan (Other then his Ultimate he's Single Target (But aganist any Quantum Weakness enemies (for what I will Mention maybe that doesn't matter) but Jade could provide some Decent Dual DPS synergy with Samfly. (She already gets 50% Energy by Skill (Unless they decide to nerf her Skill to make it more then a 2 turn Downtime (Though if it is 2 turns (Firefly's Just like Jingliu in Downtime Uptime) and the SPD (Combined with Firefly's 50 SPD, Ruan Mei's 10 SPD, Jade's 30 SPD and Asta's 50 SPD and Assuming (I don't know if it works this way) but build Firefly for 130 SPD and that gets you to 270 SPD, (If it works this way) Firefly could get another Action before her 90 SPD Countdown module (Compared to the 180 SPD Breakpoint) Jade might be in a Better State then Topaz on her Release, but she is Missing a Synergy which perfectly Synergizes with her HP Drain and wants a lot of SPD and follows the Path of Erudition, The AOE sect of Nihility, or Destruction.

I am in such a tricky spot. 1 ten pull (0 pity) wish 1 Topaz, and then wish 4 same ten pull welt lol. I now don’t know whether to go for topaz E1 or Robin with the guarantee. I am 30 deep on weapon banner so I do have a chance for Topaz or Robin LC. No idea what to do as the impossible happened with getting Topaz early on. Any ideas on what I should do from here?
Regardless I think everyone should try to pull for Robin, FuA or not, she is a dual and single dps support and it's not every day that they give you a free S5 strong 4star LC especially crafted for her
I'd say if you want to commit to a FUA team get a Topaz however if you want a flexible support I'd say get Robin. If your account isn't really geared towards a certain team comp, Robin has more value in your account in the future compared to topaz. Pulling for Topaz is like investing in the IPC.
I recently got Bronya on standard banner while I have been pulling for Robin (who I havent gotten yet) Bronya is now my only 5 star harmony character, so I am wondering if I should get Topaz instead. I like them both, but I know I wont be able to pull for topaz lightcone. Should i just go for Robin? I am planning on getting Jade too.

Dude, I don't know what you think Jade will be but I assure you she does not buff other follow-up characters's damage. She is just a sub-dps like Himeko.
I think DoT (Kafka + Black Swan/other DoT characters + harmony + sustain) and FuA (Robin + Topaz + sustain + another fua character) are now similar in strength with the release of Robin. Acheron Carry is stronger than both of them (Acheron + Pela + another Nihility character or Sparkle + sustain).

@@patrick6210 Jingliu + Luocha + Robin is very solid, no real need for Bronya. Luocha and Robin are both skill point positive I think, so you may be able to add another dps to that team and be fine - which is also the ideal way to use Robin since she will have 2 dps character to buff up. Tbh, at this point you can skip any character and only pull for those characters you absolutely want 👍

Her Sig isn't Required to make her Good. It and her E1 Improve her FUA/FUA team peformance. Which Make Topaz even better but E0S0 isn't Unusable Just cuz she doesn't have E1/S1. Just those 2 Eidolon/LC Improve the Peformance of whatever FUA team she is in.

If you have a new account, I would personally save your jades for other characters. The 5* light cone crushing the stellar sea is pretty good on topaz based on damage calcs I have seen. On top of that, the light cone swordplay is also really good on Topaz. So she has really good alternatives. If you really like topaz though and you don't have these options, it may be worth considering. Some banger characters are coming up though, so I know for me what would take priority. Also, just so you know, you rarely 'need' a 5* light cone or 5* character imo. It may make things much easier, but most 4* characters are also pretty good and can still clear most content. Keep that in mind whenever you have to decide for light cones or characters.
I won topaz 50/50 (god bless) and now I'm trying my luck for robin, hopefully I get enough stellar jades for that I really like firefly's design, but right now I have my dps characters (currently Acheron on team 1 and dr ratio and topaz on team 2), I'll only pull for firefly if she is godly with e0 since I still need a good aoe dps other than acheron and herta for pure fiction (eventually I'll get himeko, but so far no luck), other than that I have no interest in jade and I can always pull for firefly on a rerun, my priorities right now are huo huo since I do need a second sustain and I personally don'tlike fu xuan, even though she is op gameplay wise and since her rerun should be close and I can save up some pulls and maybe silver wolf if no new nihility characters release that can do her job better
@@bepo1702 I know, but as I said, I don't like fu xuan as a character, she might be op, but I don't like her I already have aventurine which, in my opinion, is as good if not better than fu xuan when it comes to preservation units I prefer to have a healer as my second sustain, again, yes I know fu xuan can also fulfill this role, but right now, no one can heal as consistently as huo huo, plus I like huo huo as a character, so I'll be pulling her in a rerun, which shouldn't be very far off

Like How the fk are you even remotely "speculating" that Jade has anything to do with FUA and SPECIFICALLY AoE, like why is that even being said without concrete proof, to safeguard peoples pulls or money spending.....unless its pure leaks, and EVEN THEN can be changed to not be exactly as speculated..... jade's drip marketing was shown officially on honkai star rail's twitter jade is quantum erudition (erudition being THE aoe dps path) and is also a member of the IPC (and all members/related people so far ALL have FUA related kits) you don't need leaks to deduce that much
I don't have sparkle or ruin Mei but I also don't run FUA team so I cant really get the best out of Robin so I think I might just skip Robin and wait for Ruan Mei rerun
You don’t need to run FUA for robin, robin works perfectly fine for non follow up comps. If you don’t have Ruan Mei, she’s definitely worthy enough to get
Eh, I disagree. Sparkle, RM, and HuoHuo are all going to get re ran pretty soon and all 3 are much better at low investment compared to Robin. Robin is all about that AV and I don't think she's worth grabbing if you aren't planning on investing into that fully. The only real reason to pull for Robin (aside from just liking her) is if you care about FUA. Even if you did you can just skip Robin still and get Topaz E1S1 and then wait for her re-run to scoop her up.

If Hoyoverse does the dick move again they are probably gonna rerun RM with FF because of break meta, which means lots of players who don't have RM but want FF are now forced to choose and I bet your ass most are going FF because she's more popular and she can still be used with HMC. Robin is a universal support, no matter what she WILL bring value to your account and even MORE value if you don't have other limited harmonies. I don't understand what you mean "high investment" she needs 120/121 speed and that's it, she has huge dmg and attack buffs and a full action advance that's always gonna be useful i don't understand what you're cooking bro

As far as re-runs go your definition of soon and mine are clearly different. But there's barely any characters that haven't been re ran at least once at this point and they're not going to re-run Acheron/Aventurine before them. I'd rather pull for units that fit into my comps better than pull Robin right now just because she's available. The immediate value is there but not long term for my account. The other 3 provide more of that. If I was much more into DoT then yeah, I'd probably pick up Robin since that's the alternative to FUA that squeezes the most value out of her. But at the moment I only have Kafka and Firefly isn't a DoT unit. So Robin isn't a smart pull for long term investment on my account.
@@ixirion From my perspective if you're not able to get 2 cycles out of a single use of her ultimate then you're not getting the most out of her. Being able to have a pseudo 200 speed team requires a fair bit of investment at least as far as my account is concerned. I think pulling her just to slap her in a team that's not FUA isn't a good idea nor will you be getting the value she provides. This is why I am looking at the power puff girls. HuoHuo and RM especially do not require much investment to reap their maximum value. Sparkle requires a bit more via speed tuning her higher than most units I have. But even then I feel that's less compared to what I'd have to accomplish for a top team for Robin.
Yeah I just bought all, got Robin + S1, Topaz + S1, had to spend €600 but you know.. fuck it, I aint scared of sailing the high seas anymore with all the quality content HSR is lately pumping out. 😆
I got Topaz (won my 50/50) and I am now saving for Firefly . I didn’t pull Robin because A. I just personally have been waiting for Topaz since I lost 50/50 on her first banner. B. I personally perfer Ruan Mei weakness break efficiency and would rather wait for her re run especially since I pulled Sparkle and I have multiple other harmony supports.

So if you look at Ruan Mei and then look at the up coming banners BootHill and Firefly will realize at this point Ruan Mei will stop being a General support and will have an actual team that will outperform any of her other teams (team looks like Ruan Mei, Boothill, Firefly, Harmony MC atm). So what I would do is take a look at your account and ask what you want to build. For me I love Unique teams. Thats why I built a DoT team, a follow up team and I'm gonna try my hardest to get Boothill, Firefly and I hope Ruan Mei's re-run banner is on one of these as well since I don't have her (rip to my wallet). However that is me. If you have no real interest in follow up teams and already have Ruan Mei and already planning on pulling boothill then I would skip Robins banner all together.
Is it optional to run robin on a Acheron team I have Acheron ave swan ratio himeko bronya and yanqimg so right now I don’t know which way to go with my acc and Acheron is my main team right now
TL:DR You can use Robin and Acheron together, but it might not be ideal unless your Acheron is e2. If you have e2 Acheron, then yes, it'd work well. Otherwise... Robin, Sparkle, or Ruan Mei can be used with any team pretty much, so you'll want to eventually get 2 of them on your account. But if you have E0 Acheron, you'd probably end up with similar results with Acheron, Swan, Pela (or any 4* nihility), and a sustain. This would free up Robin for your 2nd team for tougher content, since she's versatile. But if you just want to use Acheron, Robin, Swan, and a sustain, that'd work fine too. There's nothing fundamentally broken with that setup that won't work. You'll just miss out on the extra damage from 2x nihility allies in Acheron's kit.

And if not, you've built pity towards a future unit anyway, so there's no harm either way. Good luck with whatever you go with. Edit: Aventurine, Robin, Ratio, +a debuffer would be a solid team. And that'd leave Acheron, Swan, + nihility (or Bronya), and Gepard as a solid 2nd option. Then you'd have your themes set for your teams (follow-up for one, and debuff/hypercarry for Acheron.) Then you could mostly ignore break and DoT units in the future until you feel like you have resources to burn. But if you wanted to pass Robin, and focus on getting break characters to pair with HMC, thats a solid plan too. Especially if you have a e2+ Gallagher from your Acheron pulls, then you'd basically just need either if the upcomming break characters, and possibly Ruan Mei when she reruns.
These convos about should you pull for one character or another feels so irrelevant if the CC acts like they haven't already seen future kits of drip marketed dudes and dudetts. YT is full of these leaks so as Twitter and the whole Internet. And oh boy, Jade is cool and feels like she needs Robin. But so as Topaz and the IPC team. I just won my 50/50 on Topaz and now I'm slowly trying to get her LC cause I want her to be more complete char. Won't be able to get Robin for sure, sadly... And Bootyhill, and probably Firefly. I pulled topaz for personal reasons already (I like her overworld utility and it's satisfying to hit a lot of fuas) I don't need the fua team to be super cracked cause I have an OP Jingliu and DoT team lol. I just wanted to hear his thoughts.
Not that straightforward - limited supports have had infinite longevity so far. Robin is BiS for FuA comps and I don't see that changing until years down the line. We might get FuA comps that don't want a Harmony but for FuA comps that do, Robin will be the best for the foreseeable future.
Moreover, we get enough pulls for an Express + BP buyer to get (on average) an E0 copy of every character in the game. F2Ps are somewhat behind but there's no reason to be this stingy with your pulls - it frankly will just make the game more boring for most people. This game is easy and generous enough for there to be absolutely no reason to be as conservative as most people in this community seem to be.

@@27Ganon not too sure about Robin will stay best FuA support for a long time. For that to be true, her attacks should have counted as FuA attacks and not "additional attacks" (or at least trigger on all targets of an aoe attack not just one).
FuA triggering FuA is in my opinion the main theme to strive for which is why I personally think Topaz is the last character to get powercrept, unless they release 2 dps that abuse FuA the way Topaz does and better.

I rolled hard for Topaz (E1S1) because I'm a goon, but she really made me realize how much I love FUA. Getting Clara while saving for her helped, as did having Blade and Jing Yuan beforehand. Absolutely no regrets at all, I'd say she's necessary for FUA. Then again, I never considered Jade could be an AOE FUA Enabler.
Since I have Ruan Mei and Sparkle already (and recently got Bronya), I don't really think I'll roll for Robin despite her obvious advantage with FUA teams because I dunno if it'll be that big a difference; if halfway through the banner it seems to be otherwise based on creators' observations, maybe I'll try to get Robin.
F2P as well so "Roll on all of them" isn't in the cards. Aventurine also just bled my jades dry, so I'd have to get lucky with those free warps.
This was my situation too but I chose Robin over Topaz even though I have Ruan Mei and Bronya and built a Ratio Hypercarry with Aven and SW instead of IPC FUA team.
Topaz is good but given that Ratio is debuff reliant and needs consistent 3-5 debuffs on the enemies. At E0S0 she can only land 1 and that's where her Sig LC or E1 or both becomes a must for her to be an effective SubDPS and Debuffer for Ratio. It already costs a lot of jades to an eidolon or their Sig LC because you need to secure getting the character first.
I've always believed that pulling Eidolons and Sig LC should be optional because having new characters is more important in this game since it gives you a wide roster of team comps and characters needed.
With regards to Topaz, I guess she's the character where in cases that you don't have her and plan to build a Ratio FUA team, make sure you can secure either E1S0, E0S1, or E1S1." but of course, for those who really like her, this factor can be disregarded.
Well, i COULD grab topaz but this is the second time ive lost on her banner, first to bronya on her first run and now to clara e2.
I got robin and her LC in barely any pulls before that but im not using my guaranteed on topaz e0s0, ill just save for firefly and build a breaker team, my Fua team works pretty well as is, having all the pieces except her but unfortunately i just cant win on topaz.
I've also lost Topaz twice. To Welt. He came home instead of Kafka too. He's E4 now 🤣🥲 Boy, would I ever have loved a Himeko or Clara instead. At least not Ice Boy or Dragon Girl. I don't want any more of them either 🙅🏻♀️

Thing is, Sparkle and Bronya focus more on hyper-carries like DHIL and Jingliu, while Ruan Mei and Robin focus on teams like DoT and FuA. So even if you have Sparkle, you'd still have a good reason to pull Robin.

Ended up using my ~150ish pulls to Robin and Topaz LC. Already had Topaz & Numby themselves from their initial run. So I have Topaz/Ratio/Robin without Aventurine though.
Now I have Harmony options for everything but excessive SP usage since I skipped Sparkle. I got Support options for Break, FUA, and Hyper-Carry. Shouldn't have to worry about Harmony 5*s for at least the rest of the 2.X series.
Now I'm in the debate of pick 2, Fu Xuan LC (Got Fu Xuan 1st Run), Firefly, or Jade. I think I'll end up sitting on resources until Firefly/Jade kits get revealed to decide my picks. I get the feeling Firefly will be the one pushed aside since after Jingliu/Blade/Himeko I don't think she has a good chance of providing something my setups can't cover already. In Jade's case, I didn't take Argenti or Jing Yuan, and Serval/Himeko are more midway between Erudition and Destruction. Then for Quantum coverage I don't have Seele, I mostly use Xueyi for that.
Had this dilemma patch day. Then I won the 50-50 on Topaz at 45 pity, then got her LC at 50 pity. Then won the 50-50 on Robin and got her E1 the next 10 pull. Aventurine clutched up to bring his teammates home

I think you give Topass too much praise, you really don’t need her in a FuA comp because she doesn’t do much for it unless her attacks help trigger other characters effects as the case with Ratio, Adventurine and Robin. Her damage buff is mid asf. So if Jade doesn’t have a mechanic where FuA help trigger her effects Topass is useless for Jade
The Same argument can be said for Jade, other then the 30 SPD, you don't need her in a AOE FUA comp cuz that SPD buff could be replaced with Hanya or Asta's SPD buff, So maybe you can extend it to "Hypercarry FUA Is the only Way Your Coping if you say otherwise and Replace Topaz with any other DPS and your FUA DPS will be doing the Same Damage!" and that we need a FUA Enabler that Outbuffs the Best Harmony and Nihility (Which Of course Hoyo won't allow unless they Introduce FUA mechanics to a Harmony or Nihility debuffer)
Running Jade in a fua comp doesnt look ideal to begin with because of the hp drain. She will likely be best used as a subdps for destruction characters (ideally ones that do aoe), and sustain healers (not sustain shielders like aventurine).
A fua comp without topaz isnt really a fua team, its either more likely looking like a hyper carry team or a double (sub) dps team like himeko and herta - which only really works in pure fiction.
Lol, you defeated your own argument -- Topaz triggers everyone (including you, apparently). Topaz also deals respectable damage and has high attack frequency, which makes her an excellent breaker, too.

Jade might do something completely different. Topaz buffs FUA, and Aventurine benefits off of FUA. Both benefit off of FUA, so she probably will as well. However cus she's new, Jade has a high chance of doing something new.

Honestly, I was going to get her anyway because I run DoT and Jingliu, so had no real reason to pull for sparkle but something that can at least do a decent impression of a 'second ruan mei' is a big upgrade for me, ended up owning the full followup team along the way and it is a really neat team, I just don't like Ratio so I'm messing around with Clara and stuff.

Ended up getting 2 robins on my first 10 pull and then 2 topaz in 100 pulls my luck was insane yesterday
i wanna build ratio soon, but don't know if i should try to get robin or topaz (if hypercarry ratio or dual dps is better). i have ruan mei, and could use a team like: ratio, topaz, aventurine, ruan mei. my question is, is it more worth to pull robin, to replace ruan mei, or go for topaz for dual dps with ruan mei. i have every harmony except for robin so far, so for hypercarry, i could use sparkle or tingyun.
there's no way i could get topaz' lightcone, so i would have to go with swordplay. for harmony i'd have dance dance dance.

Robin gave my follow up comb an real boost, I actually 40k pointed PF4 round 1 in current Pure fiction with 1 turn left and garbage Robin traces. So I can definitely recommend her for pure fiction reasons alone. Also have Topaz, but personally for me it felt less impactful as compared.

Tried out Topaz in Team1 but, it didn’t provide enough follow up atks since himiko is reliant on broken opponents so put ruan Mei in instead.
Might Get into the Dreamy Aspects that are currently in Beta (If you don't wanna look, then you can wait for Closer to Jade's Release for the Synergies) I don't know why People think that it's wrong to theorize that she might be a FUA character (What do you think she'll be then) A Quantum DPS that Powercreeps Seele and QQ and is designed to be Hypercarry. If you want her being a FUA DPS to be comfirmed to you. Wait for Livestream in Early June. (But from what I have been seeing she's AOE Topaz (but Designed for AOE FUA Characters that Perfectly Synergize with Her. Here are what I think about her Synergies below (Don't Click if you'd rather wait towards Closer to Jade's Release to think about Synergies)
Jade and Himeko will have a anti-synergy when it comes to (15% CR above 80% HP Talent) cuz some HP Draining Shenanigans are going on and if you have E1 Himeko, (It gives you a Similar sized SPD Boost So I'd Skill on Herta rather then Himeko and get them either to 2 turns in a Cycle (134 SPD) or 4 turns in 2 Cycles (160 SPD)
Topaz and Aventurine can Work with Jade, but Topaz and Aventurine need to be Built Quite fast as (Topaz only counts towards 2 HIts), and Aventurine fast so you can Retrigger his 3 Follow ups towards his FUA faster. (Asta/Robin/Ruan Mei can Easily take the 4th Slot)
Jing Yuan could be good with Jade for the 2 turns before LL gets a lot easier with ATK boots, but other then having a Nice dual DPS between Two eruditions, but all Jing Yuan gets is SPD. E1S1 Topaz or Asta/Hanya/Tingyun would be better for the General then Jade. (And Asta and Hanya already give SPD Boosts.
Maybe the Anti Synergy between Himeko and Jade could be fixed with Loucha & Maybe Huohuo. (Huohuo would need to Skill more Often) while Loucha would need a lot of ERR to consistently have his Healing field up.
Herta and Jade work together Really Well (You might want Aventurine/Fu/Gepard as Herta's HP isn't the Highest.
Unless you wanna do IPC+ Ratio comps in SU or outside of SU or your willing to put a Debuffer or E0S1/E1S1 Topaz over a Buffer in the 3rd Slot, Don't Run Ratio and Jade together. Ratio only gives 1-2 stacks towards her 8 Stack FUA and needs a debuffer to consistently apply that Second stack to Jade. E0S0 Topaz (With Debuffer rather then Buffer) E0S1 or E1S1 Topaz (With Harmony rather then Debuffer) Pela, SW, and any Harmony unit work better with Ratio then Jade.
Blade and Jade have some Interesting Dual DPS synergy with each other (Blade would love the SPD while Forgoing SPD boots for HP Boots) and you can get his FUA faster from another source (Other then Jingliu or Lynx) put Ruan Mei, Robin, Or if you have some vertical Investment into Sparkle, she can also work)
Lastly, Clara, Clara doesn't want SPD and I don't know what the HP Drain would do for her other then make her less Tanky against enemies, E0/E1/S1 Topaz/Pela/Tingyun/Ruan Mei/Sparkle/Robin are better in a Clara Comp.
I'm not gonna mention Arlan (Other then his Ultimate he's Single Target (But aganist any Quantum Weakness enemies (for what I will Mention maybe that doesn't matter) but Jade could provide some Decent Dual DPS synergy with Samfly. (She already gets 50% Energy by Skill (Unless they decide to nerf her Skill to make it more then a 2 turn Downtime (Though if it is 2 turns (Firefly's Just like Jingliu in Downtime Uptime) and the SPD (Combined with Firefly's 50 SPD, Ruan Mei's 10 SPD, Jade's 30 SPD and Asta's 50 SPD and Assuming (I don't know if it works this way) but build Firefly for 130 SPD and that gets you to 270 SPD, (If it works this way) Firefly could get another Action before her 90 SPD Countdown module (Compared to the 180 SPD Breakpoint)
Jade might be in a Better State then Topaz on her Release, but she is Missing a Synergy which perfectly Synergizes with her HP Drain and wants a lot of SPD and follows the Path of Erudition, The AOE sect of Nihility, or Destruction.
And her typing is kinda dumb too. AoE quantum - for what? The deer? Nah I'll go for Sam, thanks for the info bro.

Regardless I think everyone should try to pull for Robin, FuA or not, she is a dual and single dps support and it's not every day that they give you a free S5 strong 4star LC especially crafted for her
I'd say if you want to commit to a FUA team get a Topaz however if you want a flexible support I'd say get Robin. If your account isn't really geared towards a certain team comp, Robin has more value in your account in the future compared to topaz. Pulling for Topaz is like investing in the IPC.

I think DoT (Kafka + Black Swan/other DoT characters + harmony + sustain) and FuA (Robin + Topaz + sustain + another fua character) are now similar in strength with the release of Robin. Acheron Carry is stronger than both of them (Acheron + Pela + another Nihility character or Sparkle + sustain).

@@patrick6210 Jingliu + Luocha + Robin is very solid, no real need for Bronya. Luocha and Robin are both skill point positive I think, so you may be able to add another dps to that team and be fine - which is also the ideal way to use Robin since she will have 2 dps character to buff up.

Her Sig isn't Required to make her Good. It and her E1 Improve her FUA/FUA team peformance. Which Make Topaz even better but E0S0 isn't Unusable Just cuz she doesn't have E1/S1. Just those 2 Eidolon/LC Improve the Peformance of whatever FUA team she is in.
Pull only if you don't have both Sparkle and RM.. Pull if you love FUA teams. Otherwise, save for Firefly.
Managed to pull Topaz in just 11 pulls, lost 50/50 for robin and now I'm 55 wishes of pity into it. It's all a matter of believing!!!!

Need some help. Just started a new acc and got really lucky, I got adventurine robin and e1 topaz. I have enough jades in events and missions to guarantee Topaz's sig. Lc, but i don't know if i need it. Let me know what you think!
If you have a new account, I would personally save your jades for other characters. The 5* light cone crushing the stellar sea is pretty good on topaz based on damage calcs I have seen. On top of that, the light cone swordplay is also really good on Topaz. So she has really good alternatives. If you really like topaz though and you don't have these options, it may be worth considering. Some banger characters are coming up though, so I know for me what would take priority.
Also, just so you know, you rarely 'need' a 5* light cone or 5* character imo. It may make things much easier, but most 4* characters are also pretty good and can still clear most content. Keep that in mind whenever you have to decide for light cones or characters.

I really like firefly's design, but right now I have my dps characters (currently Acheron on team 1 and dr ratio and topaz on team 2), I'll only pull for firefly if she is godly with e0 since I still need a good aoe dps other than acheron and herta for pure fiction (eventually I'll get himeko, but so far no luck), other than that I have no interest in jade and I can always pull for firefly on a rerun, my priorities right now are huo huo since I do need a second sustain and I personally don'tlike fu xuan, even though she is op gameplay wise and since her rerun should be close and I can save up some pulls and maybe silver wolf if no new nihility characters release that can do her job better

I already have aventurine which, in my opinion, is as good if not better than fu xuan when it comes to preservation units
I prefer to have a healer as my second sustain, again, yes I know fu xuan can also fulfill this role, but right now, no one can heal as consistently as huo huo, plus I like huo huo as a character, so I'll be pulling her in a rerun, which shouldn't be very far off

Robin is easy to build and an amazing support I would personally go for Robin if you don’t have Ruan Mei or sparkle.
Eh, I disagree. Sparkle, RM, and HuoHuo are all going to get re ran pretty soon and all 3 are much better at low investment compared to Robin. Robin is all about that AV and I don't think she's worth grabbing if you aren't planning on investing into that fully. The only real reason to pull for Robin (aside from just liking her) is if you care about FUA. Even if you did you can just skip Robin still and get Topaz E1S1 and then wait for her re-run to scoop her up.

If Hoyoverse does the dick move again they are probably gonna rerun RM with FF because of break meta, which means lots of players who don't have RM but want FF are now forced to choose and I bet your ass most are going FF because she's more popular and she can still be used with HMC. Robin is a universal support, no matter what she WILL bring value to your account and even MORE value if you don't have other limited harmonies. I don't understand what you mean "high investment" she needs 120/121 speed and that's it, she has huge dmg and attack buffs and a full action advance that's always gonna be useful i don't understand what you're cooking bro

As far as re-runs go your definition of soon and mine are clearly different. But there's barely any characters that haven't been re ran at least once at this point and they're not going to re-run Acheron/Aventurine before them. I'd rather pull for units that fit into my comps better than pull Robin right now just because she's available.
The immediate value is there but not long term for my account. The other 3 provide more of that. If I was much more into DoT then yeah, I'd probably pick up Robin since that's the alternative to FUA that squeezes the most value out of her. But at the moment I only have Kafka and Firefly isn't a DoT unit. So Robin isn't a smart pull for long term investment on my account.
@@ixirion From my perspective if you're not able to get 2 cycles out of a single use of her ultimate then you're not getting the most out of her. Being able to have a pseudo 200 speed team requires a fair bit of investment at least as far as my account is concerned. I think pulling her just to slap her in a team that's not FUA isn't a good idea nor will you be getting the value she provides. This is why I am looking at the power puff girls. HuoHuo and RM especially do not require much investment to reap their maximum value.
Sparkle requires a bit more via speed tuning her higher than most units I have. But even then I feel that's less compared to what I'd have to accomplish for a top team for Robin.
Yeah I just bought all, got Robin + S1, Topaz + S1, had to spend €600 but you know.. fuck it, I aint scared of sailing the high seas anymore with all the quality content HSR is lately pumping out. 😆

I got Topaz (won my 50/50) and I am now saving for Firefly . I didn’t pull Robin because A. I just personally have been waiting for Topaz since I lost 50/50 on her first banner. B. I personally perfer Ruan Mei weakness break efficiency and would rather wait for her re run especially since I pulled Sparkle and I have multiple other harmony supports.

So if you don't want to have the same "dream" stop reading here.
So if you look at Ruan Mei and then look at the up coming banners BootHill and Firefly will realize at this point Ruan Mei will stop being a General support and will have an actual team that will outperform any of her other teams (team looks like Ruan Mei, Boothill, Firefly, Harmony MC atm). So what I would do is take a look at your account and ask what you want to build. For me I love Unique teams. Thats why I built a DoT team, a follow up team and I'm gonna try my hardest to get Boothill, Firefly and I hope Ruan Mei's re-run banner is on one of these as well since I don't have her (rip to my wallet). However that is me. If you have no real interest in follow up teams and already have Ruan Mei and already planning on pulling boothill then I would skip Robins banner all together.

TL:DR You can use Robin and Acheron together, but it might not be ideal unless your Acheron is e2.
If you have e2 Acheron, then yes, it'd work well. Otherwise...
Robin, Sparkle, or Ruan Mei can be used with any team pretty much, so you'll want to eventually get 2 of them on your account. But if you have E0 Acheron, you'd probably end up with similar results with Acheron, Swan, Pela (or any 4* nihility), and a sustain. This would free up Robin for your 2nd team for tougher content, since she's versatile.
But if you just want to use Acheron, Robin, Swan, and a sustain, that'd work fine too. There's nothing fundamentally broken with that setup that won't work. You'll just miss out on the extra damage from 2x nihility allies in Acheron's kit.

Edit: Aventurine, Robin, Ratio, +a debuffer would be a solid team. And that'd leave Acheron, Swan, + nihility (or Bronya), and Gepard as a solid 2nd option. Then you'd have your themes set for your teams (follow-up for one, and debuff/hypercarry for Acheron.) Then you could mostly ignore break and DoT units in the future until you feel like you have resources to burn.
But if you wanted to pass Robin, and focus on getting break characters to pair with HMC, thats a solid plan too. Especially if you have a e2+ Gallagher from your Acheron pulls, then you'd basically just need either if the upcomming break characters, and possibly Ruan Mei when she reruns.
These convos about should you pull for one character or another feels so irrelevant if the CC acts like they haven't already seen future kits of drip marketed dudes and dudetts. YT is full of these leaks so as Twitter and the whole Internet.
And oh boy, Jade is cool and feels like she needs Robin. But so as Topaz and the IPC team. I just won my 50/50 on Topaz and now I'm slowly trying to get her LC cause I want her to be more complete char.
