I'm sure many of us seen Ford fusions cost more than an A220 definitely would choose it over a Fusion
This car has 2 AMG versions both have the 2 liter Turbocharged Inline 4
A35-Makes 302 Horsepower
A45:Not available in the US but it makes 421 Horsepower
I just got this car for Christmas(2022) the 2021 A220 and I really like it!!
You did a beautiful video, with the mountains behind. But one tip, coming from the fuy who has worked for 10+ years on tv. When you tell the specs, try to make some little stops between, enough to give more importance of all the details you say! Rather than that, superb video, honestly. Up top! 🙌🏻

@@phantom8845 if there are extra adults.. the tallest has to sit in the front passenger seat and the shortest behind me- I'm only 5.3" ..otherwise.. no adult can seat behind my fiance who is 6.3".. there is no space.. it's really horrible
@@malaikah8329 ah shit i can get this comfort in a 20 lakh car but it was my very big dream to own a mercedes since i was a kid . Now i got a job and is saving up money to buy one . I serve here in the Indian army but mercedes cost a little too much money and there are other good cars here and dad says i can get an endavour instead of benz cause its too small. You got any other mercedes , bmw , audi recommendations?

@@myahill9389 AMG is about high performance motors. Now think about it, the engine compartments of AMGs have the the same size as the regular mercedes, then how does AMG get so much more performance? It's simple these motors basically wear themselfs out. They burn hotter, they revolve faster, the airfuel ratio is high on air, the pressure is higher....&c. These motors are basically like motors of super-sport-motorbikes. Their livetimes are reduced by their very nature. You can only drive a motor on all it's limits for a certain distance.
After a sshort time you look at your blue or red motor oil and it becomes black...the black part is all metall particles of your motor worn off.
Black oil wears off your motor even faster...due to the friction of the metal particles in it. So you regularly remove the black oil and replace it with fresh oil.
If your motor is an AMG you will have to do such maintainance jobs way more often, just to not dramatically increase the allready high speed of selfdestruction of the motor itself.
An AMG is a very expensive and time consuming hobby.
If you are ok with a 75hp 5 cylinder Diesel Mercedes w124 from 1985 , the car will run a million kilometers and will rarely see a repairmen. But You want 600hp in the same motor compartment with roughly double the thrist...Something has to suffer to get there, and that is the wear and tear of the motor itself.

Good review, but definitely does not come with leather seats it comes with mb-tex, synthetic leather... but it holds up very well

It’s a cute inexpensive car . Cars should be priced like this. Not like an suv that’s 80-100 thousand regardless non Mercedes-Benz . Cars lose value minute driven off lot it looks great for daily tech and safety big on my list definitely going for a test drive. Thanks for reviewing

It's 1.5 engine capacity which makes it low on the fuel consumption.

I still don't understand the diff between CLA 250 and the A220 All I know is this CLA 250 started back in 2014 and the A220 was released for sale in early 2020. I don't get it why there are 2 ...for sale. My guess is the newest version of CLA is a grade/class/level higher than A220...but they look almost the same, same size....why the Hell, MBZ?

Awwww cool. This is one of the cars I own. And I mean it’s alright but not the most comfortable car but I only bought it bc of the ambient lighting..... so I traded in my 2018 Honda Accord for the Benz and given the price difference (I believe the Benz was 15k more) and the Honda is bigger and more comfortable, I think the accord is the better car
And you can get a Honda with actual leather...

180hp from a 2ltr turbo ?
I get 163hp from my 1.3ltr Turbo, and on the motorway i can get nearly 60mpg and about 45mpg around town,
Seems a big trade off of mpg for such a small power output
mercedes wants you to buy the plug in hybrid so it makes sense the other cars don’t get such good mpg

I dont get why theres no aftermarket for this car. Theres no exhausts or anything for it, might stop me from getting. Also the power is just so low idk how they cant be on par with Audi A3 entry level 220 hp

@@andrewjames954 actual leather is not an option on these cars. It's MB textile...it says it on the window sticker. They stopped putting leather in ALL lower end Mercedes in 2008 when they started putting back up sensors on cars. A, C, E, GLK, GLS models have textile seat covers.
Katie Hunt Sorry, but you are wrong. At least here in the USA. MB Tex comes standard; however, you can upgrade to real leather. It’s $1450. Like I said, my car has real leather.

@@thirdeye7158 every person on this planet who owns a car should know how much ot costs for repairs. First off, you take into consideration your own car and the repair/service bill. Then you add into consideration that mercedes is a luxury brand and you will have higher costs. Second, you dont ask if a car is reliable when it is brand new. We are not in the 1980s when only a few cars were reliable. Nowadays many manufacturers share the engine technologies...a new car doesnt have that many reliability problems unless it is a newly designed model. And thirdly, he can ask whatever he wants....but we all know what he really is looking for. He is looking at an entry level mercedes and asking how much is the repair costs and reliability. He is looking for the mercedes status but doesnt know the price it comes with.
And he forgot to add the yearly service...

I drove this car for a weekend, the infotainment system is great, the rest of the car is rubbish. This is suppose to be a benz. The driving experience was really bad, the engine and transmission seems to be a duet singing two different songs from two different genres. The exterior just look plain it doesn't give the look of a premium car. I expected more. Car drove A200 (2020)

And now 2022 is going to be the last model year for the A220 as Mercedes is terminating the A class in America. So, get 'em while you still can! If you enjoy horribly overpaying for a compact sedan whose best feature is that Mercedes logo on the grill. Seriously, the Mazda 3 Turbo is literally the same size. Comes with AWD, more power, and the same luxury features on the inside for over $10K less. But no luxury logo on the grill in order to impress strangers on the street into thinking you're a financial success. Yeah, I guess that's important.
