Hey Ben, that Matte Finish seems really nice. Overall a very well built laptop from Huawei, again they maybe struggling in the smartphones, but really strong in a lot of areas.
Huawei's 3:2 aspect ratio has always appealed to me. Im planning on replacing my 5 year old zenbook this christmas and i think i may have found a suitable replacement. Thanks Ben. LOL @ the skinny head an big eye filter. 🤣
I was thinking about Lenovo thinkpad or Hauawei Mate Book X Pro. Mate Book X Pro with eye safe and 1 TB. Seem better value for money than the Thinkpad Pro! :) The only issue I had with my old Mate Book was it will get very hot! It a heat test would been useful in this review
I have the 10th gen version and a slick device for an ultrabook. Not as good as a MB Pro 14 but def one of the better Windows ultrabooks. They are a bit expensive at launch especially these high inflation times. It is £1800 so more expensive than the MB Pro 14 M1 ATM. They do go down in price with time. They are great devices if you can afford it.

The battery life is what holding it back… very bad battery life at 4-5 hours or less with light to med usage at balanced mode. Should’ve went with AMD 6800

I know that probably a lot of people aren't going to care because of the lack of Google services but I also know Huawei has a lot of fans out there who do want to see it, me included. I already have a P40 pro but I want to see your take on the Mate 50 pro
But you'd end up with mac os rather than windows. I don't think this is meant to compete with MacBooks, which will always be the top laptops for the price. This is meant for people who need windows, but want a MacBook look alike.

I have 2019 Matebook X Pro, and my son just dropped it off the bed and smashed left and right display glass. After owning this for a few years, I cantell you the battery does not last long at all after a while, to a point where just like 1hr of youtube viewing you need to plug in. 1.The SSD has been re-seated four times, because it had an obvious design flaw, and would give random BSOD. 2. One of my speakers just stopped working a while ago with no reason. I really want to get the new model, but I just can't bring myself to buying another huawei laptop. What a shame they removed the USB A from right side, as my mouse is dongle only and USB-A which would mean a stupid converter I need to stick out. I like to be convinced about this model. Lastly remove their crap software it's a waste of memory it sends all kinds of data back to huawei they should not be doing.
Huawei prices are ridiculously high and a proper no go for me. They seem to want users to pay MacBook Pro prices and for most Windows users there are a lot more value for money laptops out there
Nice machine, really! But here in Germany Huawei want`s 2199€ for this. A lot of money if I want a good looking, performant laptop for all day use scenarios.

Impossible to get excited over intel machines after using Apples M series. Zero fan noise at all and 13hrs real world use plus class leading trackpads and audio as usual makes buying an intel computer seem completely pointless.

From the amount of dust on the M2 Macbook air, I can see Ben rarely use it 🤣
No idea why that would be as M2 crushes any mobile cpu intel has ever made on power, power consumption, battery, gpu perfromance and fan noise.

D series also very good. Can imagine how good this one.
