This is the closest thing I've seen to an idea I was rolling around in my head, where there would be an entire bookshelf on the front of the bed, and _every_ shelf would pivot flat in a similar manner.

Question: is there any way to mount a monitor above the desk? Maybe the handles could be set a little wider? Or is that impossible?

I like this design a lot and am looking for a bed/desk lie this. It appears that there is no reason why the desk couldn't be made a bit deeper to provide a larger work surface? That would improve the design, if it is doable.
Thanks for the feedback. It is 22" deep right now. We have made them a little deeper.

What kind of mattress is included? Is it possible to change the mattress out for something more comfortable if we didn't like the one included?
Josh Campbell I quote a couple mattresses as an option but any mattress up to 12” thick can be used.
Hey Chris. Your stay-level desk looks to be about 18 inches deep. Could it be made any deeper without affecting functionality or weight distribution? I assume the entire cabinet is fixed to the wall.
William Barr they are 20” deep. I have made them 22” with no issues.
That desk is 22' deep. I believe I made them 28" before, so yet it can. Yes it is fixed to the wall.

Hi. I am from India and I absolutely love what you have created. Perfect solution for the smallish flat I am moving into. The world being what it is in these COVID times, and shipping costs and time involved make it impractical for me to have this delivered. So I set out to have something like this (without the shelves on the side) created. Long story short, ran into a problem with the hydraulic systems you have used as no one here seems to have them. Or a clue about where to get them. Or even what they are called. Would it be too much for me to ask you to share what the hydraulic for the desk that remains straight are called? Will research and see if someone here has them. Thanks a ton.

With 24” side cabinets the width would be 115”. Height is 90 1/4”. Depth of cabinet is 16”. Depth of the desk and cabinet is 38”

My murphy bed will not stay unfolded on it’s own. It wants to retract..Any advice?
It has too much lift on it. If it is a spring version a spring can be taken off each side. If one of our contact us before you do it or check your instrucitons. A quick fix is to add some weight under the mattress. A board or something flat that has some weight. Some of the piston version have adjustment on the lower plate.

carleetosaquino you can but it only works with the spring system with the 13” legs, which gives you about 10-1/2” under the bed.

Compare a lot of making method of king size bed in internet, my method is best. Buy iron framework, and buy 12 pieces wood in home depot, size is 152 cm×13.5 cm× 4 cm.
