Hi! I swear by the Tubby Todd All Over Ointment! It’s the only thing that worked and still works (nearly 4 years later) for my son’s eczema. Body wash really doesn’t seam to make a difference, just something without fragrance.

      And good luck mama ❤️
I will say, it does get a little bit better with age, but I still have to be very diligent to apply the ointment after every single bath, but we only bathe him a couple times a week. Also making sure I give him a quick bath after the pool and/ or sunscreen application. Chlorine and sun screen seam to cause the eczema to flair up.

The product I have found that helps my son the most is my homemade aloe butter I make for him. I will typically layer his skin with moisture for best results (Cetaphil lotion, my aloe butter, then Aquaphor to seal in the moisture in places he is severely dry). In his bath I add chamomile essential oil and magnesium flakes. After his bath I immediately moisturize him. He gets a bath every night with this routine and it has helped his skin a lot!
I have been looking into Tubby Todd's ingredients and some of them are very beneficial for eczema so I will probably add those products to my aloe butter recipe.
    The recipe right now is:
1/2 c aloe juice or gel (100% aloe) -the aloe should be warmed up on the stove with some tea bags of Calendula, Lemonbalm and Chamomile (I plan to also add Honeysuckle to my next batch)
    1/4 c Shea butter
    2 Tablespoons beeswax
    2 Tablespoons Coconut oil
    1 Teaspoon Vitamin E Oil
    2 Tablespoons Jojoba oil
    1 Teaspoon Seabuckthorn oil
    1 Tablespoon liquid sunflower lecithin
Infuse aloe juice with tea bags and set to the side. Warm oils with Beeswax and Sunflower Lecithin until melted. Add together and emulsify with hand blender.
Set to the side to cool.
Once cooled, weigh the moisturizer and add 1% preservative. I prefer GeoGuard Ultra as it is a natural preservative.

I haven’t tired it but I’m planning to try oatmeal baths I hear that really soothes the skin. Going to check out the tubby tot! I tried all the other products but that one. Same experience I had with you. Dove is not good. Aquaphor I like but I don’t think my daughter likes it. Aveeno is good but i think it doesn’t help the bad flare ups when she gets them. Thanks for the tips!

Thank you for sharing mom❤️ , maybe someday I will try aveeno ..
Eczema runs in my family, so
when my kid had impetigo (2 years ago) pediatrician recommended me use mustella stelatopia for bath. It works fine.. but pricey. Impetigo was heal.
Recently my kid having eczema (got allergic to cold weather, and mosquito bite) my last pediatrician recommended me : purebb liquid wash, and it works fine. And it cheaper than mustella.
And ointment / cream for sore he recommended me diprogenta. It works fine, then a week later its vessel is broken, then I replaced to Sudo Cream , it works fine too, give it few days and sore will heal.

My little guy got a bad case of eczema suddenly at around 3 months of age. We found the dove derma care body wash works really well for him and his skin always seems more calm after a bath (shocking, I know!). We also use the dove eczema cream which is really thick and put that on twice a day. Works like a charm, although I am going to look into your other recommendations. We also needed a prescription steroid cream to kick it in the really bad spots. Thank you for the great advice!

My pediatrician’s suggestion is to just get the cortisone10 cream and dilute it with either oatmeal cream or coconut oil and apply it in the affected area.
Cleared the eczema bumps in 2 days.
And don’t mistake it for thrush - one of the suggested remedies is to use baking soda in water - this absolutely aggravates eczema and causes a burning sensation for the baby.
