Taylor is just casually putting out the info plus tricks you should use, or the way he walks, positions himself, finds spots ... It is extremely useful. For a beginner and for a Pro too. I have done many events by now, but there is always something new to me. I have just recently started to use one camera body only, this would have been a strict NO a few years back, and I still have a second body with me, but it is more like a safety net, and it stays in my bag. It is there if I need it. I am a Canon shooter, and I use the Sigma 40mm 1.4 and the Sigma 105mm 1.4 so it's kinda heavy as hell, but I feel like this setup gives me what I feel like, yes this is my style, this is how I want to photograph a party, a wedding, or anything. It might be an overkill and it would be easier to use something like the 28-70 F2 on my R5, but I have learned when to change lenses and when to use the 40mm and when to switch to the heavy beast - the 105mm 1.4 :) At the end of the day, the only thing matters is a happy client. However, I thrive for the best possible images, and I personally want to say something like " Yes, that's a great capture, well done " to myself.
I use the 24mm GM on my a7r IV and my sigma 85mm 1.4 on my a7 IV, it's allow me to croop on the riv images and getting closer. it's a wonderful lens, even to make some nice portrait.
I've done the "look at each other and be happy with each other" Taylor line before - the first second is a corny laugh, but the corny laugh leads to a natural moment, actually. One of your best lines
Great vid, Taylor. I also would love, love, LOVE a zoom that's three hard stops. Even two. But like you, I'm mostly a prime shooter. My wedding primes are 24, 40, and 85. I also usually bring a zoom or a longer prime just for the ceremony.
Gonna do my first wedding tomorrow as a 2nd shooter. I’m providing my services for free on exchange for a few pictures of my portfolio. I think I’ve binged your entire channel in preparation, lol. If wedding just so happens to become my jam, I’m definitely gonna become a member. Thanks so much Taylor. P.S. I can Venmo you if you’re short on cash for that clip 😂
Liked the BTS video. Do you primarily capture images in vertical / portrait mode? That’s what I noticed during bride prep. If you watch the BTS video in landscape with the outside waterfall I sort of “wished” you captured in landscape 😬😎📸 Also, how do you hold / mount the GoPro during the wedding?
I personally prefer a 24mm to a 35mm. I like the 24 look and I've been in more situations with group photos where I wish I could have gone wider than not. I've ended up in some smaller areas that the wider just helps so much
Your videos are some of the best out there for witnessing a first-hand photographer on a wedding day. Love your styles and ideologies. Definitely curious if you have or intend to get your hands on the new Tamron 35-150mm 2-2.8. I’m likely going to buy it but feel like it’s really in your focal range and your thoughts would definitely be fun to see (it will be a while before I can afford it)

How do you get nice skin tones with a7r4? I cant seem to get the heavier reds lighter in camera. It makes brown skin not look natural and too much pinkish in white skin

Please do more with the A7RIV ! Not a lot of content with this camera for weddings.
Those shots in the snow were amazing!

That veil blowing in the wind during the outside shots was so perfect.
I'm interested in hearing more about this stella pro light. I'll be looking forward to that!
I can't work out whether I like you or your photography more - they are both right up there :-)

How did it go bro?
that was so helpful, thanks a lot 😊
I just started watching but had to pause to let you know that I do, in fact, respect the “home alone” gloves. That’s all.
Thank you. I hope you enjoy the rest of the video
Yeah
This kind of videos (POV) that made me subscribe at first place also made this channel so special for me

I was planning to get a camera so in the future i would like to take weddings and portraits. Do you think I should go for Sony A7 IV or A7R IV?

New to Sony. What focus did you have on when the couple danced into to the reception. Eye, Facial detect?
Yah I’m just full wide mode with face and eye enabled. I don’t have too many problems with it
THANKYOU...

One thing I have notice looking at your camera screen is that you are constantly shooting, not like spray and pray but shooting a lot of frames.
Just want to get the correct moment and moments are fast haha

Hi Taylor, just want to ask how many batteries do you need to document a whole wedding using GoPro? Thankyou!
Great vid as always!! Where do you place your go pro?? Mine is on my camera, but I hate when I turn the camera in portrait angle the go pro image is 👎
How do you mount the GoPro (?!) to get this pov style for bts??
I remember you use a insta 360 one x on the hotshoe once, bit this is long ago.
how do you record yourself photographing? what equipment do you use to record footage showing you working at events?

So it seems that you have now switched to Sony ? What happened with your Nikon love ?
This wedding day was just for the sponsored video I put up earlier this week
You stage the exchange.
Did you find the A7Riv files to be too big or pictures too sharp for weddings? Would you prefer the Riv or the new A7iv?
Thanks!
I’d go A7iv. This is the camera that Sony sent me for the sponsored video, which is why I chose it
lol 13:00 i stop the whole wedding for the ring exchange
Do you use an air horn or a bell?
11:30 - so how much alcohol do you recommend for the photographer on a average wedding?
Haha I don’t drink anything. This was just in reference to the couple usually having a few glasses of champagne or whisky or whatever during the day
How do u do ur povs whats the setup
Taylor why are you shooting Sony, I remember you saying you felt the images were to clinical.
This was for the Sony sponsored video that went out earlier in the week. I’m still on an R3 and R6 as main cameras right now
@@TaylorJacksonPhoto Respect for your honesty ❤️
