I mean he did say that 2020 counted, whether you think it should have or not, it was clearly communicated the range was 2010-2020

Jolly said 2020 counted for the range. Which is to say nothing about if 2020 should actually count for 2010s

Probably does and just doesn't have the list memorised. Otherwise it would take a lot longer to verify those answers instead of just a couple seconds.

I’m sorry, but what they’re playing is not Scattergories! It is not just naming random things (or names in this case) that fit the category. For those who have played the traditional game, the idea is to name things that fit the category that all begin with the same letter.

The first category should've been either 2011-2020 (the correct form) or 2010-2019. But as long as everyone is aware of the rules, it doesn't matter at all.
