The Papo and Mattel Ankylosaurus are just based on the Jurassic movies design, just hybrids. But you know that yourself 😉 PNSO really impressed me, great value for your money.
Your box got a lot less shipping wear than mine but like I said, I wasn't neccessarily gonna keep the whole box so not a big deal. Apart from all the things you mentioned, I really like the pose and its head tilt like it was just ambling along and something like a Dakotaraptor or juvenile T.rex is confronting it and its just thinking "really, ok" haha. I really appreciate the background info in the papers about the armor arrangement. I've kinda wanted to pick up Watson's Safari sculpt for a while but I think I'll stick with Sede as my Ankylosaurus in my collection for now anyway. I'd like to see one of these companies make a new figure of some of the newly restored genuses like Scolosaurus and Anodontosaurus to sort of compare the differences between Euoplocephalus and Ankylosaurus. Or even maybe a Zuul figure because, well let's face it the name 😆 Great review man!
I would love more armored species. I’m really liking this new line from them. Lots of potential and they aren’t afraid to make obscure species. The safari Ankylosaurus is fantastic and that study came out about two months before the figure was released publicly. Should have the new stegosaurus in soon. I watched Andy’s review and looked at some in hand pics. I’m not overly impressed with it. Feel like that style of stego is been there done that by other companies. But I’ll see once I get it.
@@DinoScreamReviews I'm sure I'll end up picking up Safari's version some day, they just have had too many quality figures for me to keep up with the last 5 years or so, a good problem I suppose. I was talking to Andy on his review about the Stegosaurus too. I think it's a really nice figure overall and the paint scheme and application look out of this world but I told him that the Safari "Sophie" Stegosaurus has probably unfairly spoiled me with just how accurate it is and beautiful in its own right while the PNSO one is definitely more in that "classic modern" style sculpt-wise. I understand why many dino fanatics might prefer it but I'm with you on it. Maybe your opinion will improve when it's in your hands as you said.
Yeah it the safari version that spoiled me too. And I just got done reading the Sophie reconstruction papers so I’m super critical on stegosaurus now lol.
I have see my " top 3" ankylosaurus: the one from papo, one from PNSO and the red one from namnu. ( I think the red one from namnu) witch one is the best choice or which you prefer? Thanks!! Update: I think go for this one, the namnu version are too sharp ( that's not realistic ?) and too expensive.
I'm so sad, I got my first PNSO figure, which is the Ankylosaurus and I guess they don't paint them very well after the first production because mine looks terrible, it looks like somebody put a gray wash over him :( Do you own any PNSO figures that aren't first production? How's the paint on them?
Yeah I’ve heard the later ankylosaurus paint isn’t good. I own all first productions. I’ve heard the paint is better on the later productions of the spinops and old Spinosaurus. Papo seems to do the same thing. Lesser quality paint apps on later runs. Which is unfortunate.
@@DinoScreamReviews how long do first productions go for? I'd love to get Chuanzi and Wilson but my wallet needs a break in between haha I've been collecting since the start of this year and I noticed a bit of fall off on a few of the older Papo ones. My collection is mostly Papo, I'd love to get more PNSO just the first impression wasn't the best
I have the latest version of Sede. And looking at the video, I can say that even the worst version is better than this author's coloring. Because it's NATURAL.

It’s an excellent figure for $20. The new line has lots of potential if the quality is up to the Ankylosaurus.
Sede is lookin’ good with his armor placement!
Yes it’s very well done. Matches perfectly with the 2017 study.
Like my friend
Ankylosaurus is my 4th favorite armored dinosaurs, and 3rd favorite Herbivore dinosaur, and I also hope to see this figure.
The Ankylosaurus look pretty cute too.
ITS GOT A MINGE !!!
That it does lol

Nanmu figures aren't suppose to be accurate. But their quality is superior so it should be understable to have it pricey compared to PNSO
Me:why it’s neck turned
Hey !! it's the new "penis so" dinosaurs... alsome!!!
You know that’s in the back of my mind now lol
@@DinoScreamReviews you also said it was 9 in that's a good size 😂
