Back in the 90's I used to play hockey there in Blue Jay. I think it was called Ice Castle's. Then Michelle Kwan took over renting the place out and eventually turned it into figure skating only.

Wow, so beautiful scenic view! Yes, you do need to drive slow when the road looks slushy, can be slippery?? We drove by the sign Lake Arrow Head, on our way to the Big Bear for the first time. Thanks for sharing! No idea it's that beautiful!..🥰🥰😍😍

Are cable chains allowed? We're heading up the first week of December and never driven in snow. TIA.

Yes, cable chains are allowed but try to carry the best ones, we saw 3 pairs broken on the road on the next day to big bear, not sure if they didn't installed well or it were cheap ones, practice before go (yes drive on asphalt, is the same up there) and tight them with steel or more chain the rubber that comes with the kit installation is not enought check the next video FULL DRIVE TO BIG BEAR, and you will see some cars stucked on the road.

On the video it's a bit slow for appreciation purposes, average speed is 10-15 mph when it's foggy and 25-30 on clear views and chains installed
