I thought the same thing, you absolutely know his job is hard and even scary at times. I'm so glad that Judge Boyd stood up for him. Both times he has addressed the court on this defendant's behalf he's been extremely courteous and respectful. It's sad that he gets these individuals that refuse to live decently and lawfully to the detriment of everyone else, a small child in his case, and his attorney knowing all he did still has to stand next to him and speak on his behalf?? I absolutely couldn't do it. But, it's nice to see someone, despite having criminals for "Bosses" having his demeanor. I've seen some public defenders be downright rude and obnoxious.

That guy Ray Hinton that was wrongfully convicted and served 30 YEARS on death row before he was finally released after they realized he was innocent had to be the strongest mentally I’ve ever heard of! Can you imagine being put on death row for a crime you didn’t commit?! And sitting there knowing you’re innocent for 30 years.
One of Rays attorneys got him a deal to get off death row and serve life in prison but he wouldn’t take it. He knew he was innocent and he said he would rather be put to death than admit to a crime he didn’t commit. He has a book out that I just finished called The sun Does Shine. It was hard to read and realize all he went through but it’s such a brilliant book.

Here's the thing though: Just because the attorney got him "just" 10 years instead of the 25 years IF sentenced normally, does not indicate good representation. Not does he need to feel to have been represented very well. If I were innocent and my attorney would get me 10 years instead of the possible 25 years that I shouldn't be convicted for, I'd be pretty mad. And even if this is the best deal possible, still doesn't mean it's reflective of good representation.

So the new prison time runs concurrently with the previous home invasion charge. If I heard this correctly he's getting little or no added time but rather goes back to prison for busting his parole.

I don't think I want to know the details of his crime, but I'm guessing that 10 years is a bargain. He has another one coming up, and the Judge was gracious enough to make a note to let it run concurrently, but I'm thinking that he's a potential lifer in the system.

This defense attorney is hilarious. Aside from the defendant, who should pay the price, I could get a law degree, wake up, and get my jacket on faster than him.

Anyone betting this is the last time (other than his parole violation hearing, which should be a doozy) this guy finds himself up on criminal charges?

One would expect a lawyer to be intelligent and articulate, but some of the ones we see on these videos sure belies that concept.

I'd like to see an instance of one of these so-called soviet citizens (sovcit) facing Judge Boyd. They'd definitely be the beneficiary of her extensive knowledge of the law.

Dang, Frankie Sandoval -Esq. looking rough af that morning. Beyond rolling in hot with the disheveled attire while throwing on jacket last moment, the runny nose and overused toilet paper look is not ideal.

Simple life advice: if you're going to wear a tie, do the tie up properly. Otherwise you look like a drunk.
If you don't want to do the tie up, don't wear one.
