Yes sir! The Pixel 2XL was my very first Pixel and it is responsible for making me a Pixel fanboy lol. That has to be the BEST Phone I've ever had. I love my Pixel 7 but the 2XL was just special man.
Just got one of the all black 128GB from Swappa. I was going to use it as a security camera. I fell in love with it having all the memories of this period of Android. Now I use it at work to pass the time.
Ha! I remember this being one of those devices that made me frustrated with Google when they removed the headphone jack, especially after they had poked fun at Apple the year before when they did that on the iPhone 7. At the same time I strongly considered this phone alongside others like the Galaxy S8 and the LG G6. I ended up getting the S8 which was basically laggy after a week. Less then a year later I jumped ship to the OnePlus 6 and stayed with OP until the end of 2022 before I switched to an iPhone.
this phone was awesome to me, my only problem i had with it was the display, which i had 3 of these phones and the displays were mediocre at best when it came to colors. but still one of my favorites.
It's cool to see the older Pixel. My first was the 4a, so I never played with anything before that. I'm glad to see it was a good phone. As to Mint, I'm on my 3rd year with them. I just buy service a year at a time and it works well for me. I've never had an issue with service or anything and the data always feels pretty zippy :)
Sadly, I didn't give the Pixel a shot back in the day (Samsung too, wanted to avoid the hype and see what Moto and LG (and BlackBerry 😉) etc could do) but man (!) my pixel 6a was quite an entry to the brand. Makes me think I've missed some gems over the years 😊 😇
I miss my 2XL panda. Even tho I switched to iPhone about 5 years ago I’m tempted to buy a 2XL again just simply because it was my fav phone ever. I’ve scouted them on eBay from reputable sellers. Can buy a refurbished or there is still even brand new unopened. Don’t care that it hasent got the best chip the best screen ect. It does the job for what I need.
the front facing speakers was the biggest seller. No other phone matches the stereo sound quality of the 2 just because the modern paradigm is now just more screen real-estate.
I thought exactly the same about my Pixel 2. Irritates me when people say apple devices work better when they are older, this is simply not true, esepcially when it comes to pixel devices. My older apple devices perfrom much worse. I will probably flash pixel expereince rom soon though just so i can have android 13.
The Pixel 2XL might be a classic, but it's still a photo king! Snaps pictures sharper than a detective's eye, with Google's smarts making every shot a masterpiece. Plus, the battery holds on for dear life, perfect for all-day adventures. The only downside? It's a bit on the slippery side. To keep mine looking flawless, I slapped on a clear, grippy body wrap from gadgetshieldz. Now it feels secure in my hand, looks fresh, and avoids scratches like a ninja dodges shuriken. #Pixel2XLLegend #ProtectedLikeABoss
I would not buy a new Pixel, unless I got some free or very very cheap carrier deal. Maybe I should call it "Glitchel." I'm glad I decided on the Galaxy A54 over the Pixel 6A. I was considering the 6A for a while, but cameras aren't everything. I'm buying a phone, not a camera. I've had bad customer service issues with Google as well. I don't trust Google.
I just got a $1k off deal from Verizon just randomly for my specific phone number. My mil was so jealous cuz she has me on her plan, but she still let me get my hook up cuz it couldn't transfer to any other person on her plan, so I'm freaking excited to get it man. I can't wait to have the pixel 9 pro XL. I used to have a pixel 2XL and loved the hell out of that old phone
Just curious - Can you not revert back to the previous OS? If by chance one opts to upgrade to Android 11 and feels like it's really not (as you alleged to) optimized for a particular device, can you not downgrade back to Android 10?
I lost my new phone, so going back to Pixel 2 XL. Which stock Android version you recommend more? I was using it for 4+ years with Android 9. Do you think 10 or 11 are better than 9?
I broke my phone screen and had to move from Android 14 to 11 on my backup phone i.e. pixel 2 xl! Honestly Android 11 is still solid so you should upgrade. Battery life would probably be bad which is ok.
Wow man hard to believe my KEYᵒⁿᵉ came out earlier this same year, or how my "budget" pixel 6a has an even bigger screen than the "flagship" - not even THAT long ago 😯 😅
Just pulled out my 2xl today to see if I could recover an old recording from my relatives that was unrecoverable from my pixel 4a. Still a sweet looking phone that just oozes quality. AT&T forced me to replace this device which I think is a crime. All American carriers should support all old technology. Other countries do. Anyway, file was found and now lives on RUclips where I and my relatives can always access it.
That's great! ATT should support this phone. They pulled that nonsense with the original XL and I dealt with it, because their claim was half correct, but the 2XL can support VoLTE.
google not sell googlepixel on my country , and if we buy from outside we have to pay tax 50 % from device price or we cannot acces connection here lol , i have great pixel 4a for $170 but one Mont later broke my lcd and cost me $150 but then i use buy 2xl for $120 love it , those 2xl in future maintenance sparepart are cheap like lcd $30 battery $20 i want to keep my 2xl to forever ( till can't be used ) , Im broke now so that price mean to me , if im rich someday i want to buy most new google phone in that day

Not necessarily, reds can be vibrant in real life, I'm staring at my gorgeous Viva Magenta Moto Razr right now. There is a way to make the colors as poppy as real life without seeming dull.
I never used to dislike Google stuff. They used to have some good phones!
Typing this from pixel 2 XL!
Brother, does it still have unlimited photo backup by Google photos?
The Pixel 2XL and Pixel 4XL were my favorite pixels of all time, until the Fold came out. The Pixel 2 XL is a legend!

It was definitely a different color panel that we were used to at the time, but given what they use today, I would take it!
