Researching all I can between each of these HAZMat tanker companies. Kind of at the end of my rope with the non HAZMat foodgrade thing and need a change of scenery. As far as OTR goes, I make more money on regional runs than coast-to-coast/48 state. The pay in relation to the extra work(probably not much) involved with fuel hauling. Just got to take that leap and leave my current area since it's a "HAZMat desert". Plenty of trucking jobs here. But it's all non HAZMat agriculture that tops out around $60k/year.
    Nights? I'm good to go.

Im going to apply for a local fuel spot with kag after i take my endorsement tests tomorrow. Unfortunately we dont have specialty products either. We got regional, but id prefer to be home everyday. Had enough of being gone 2wks and home for 2-3 days.

I just got my cdl last year. And glad i did. Was worth it. Work for a cement company, they pour alot of cement. Now i get to haul equipment to jobs and suppose to haul cement soon ( pneumatic tankers, not the spinning concrete trucks ). Got a decent raise and get to be home daily. Always wondered about kag tho, how much experience do they require?
