A great analysis. He is always spot on. I owned a 2015 Z06 convertible, 3LZ, for 3 years, sold it with 7500 miles for $76K, ( $112 new). The car is a beast. brutal acceleration, amazing handling and grip. A car lover's car, just be prepared, this is not for the faint of heart. The wheels will spin into third gear at 70 mph. Too bad they would not allow the convertible on the track, the car gets boring on public streets, it needs to scream!
Just found this channel. A blue collar car enthusiast dream. most cars are way to expensive, but 3-8 years into their production they get reasonable. Thanks.
Trim levels has little to do with the carbon fiber brake systems, a $9000 + option. A good after market or GM tune may make up for the Zo7 tune option but not the brakes. Seems those carbon brakes are a game changer! If you don't think they're worth much, try replacing them!
I own a C7 Z06 and I realize it will depreciate heavily especially when the C8 comes out. But I didn’t buy my car as an investment I bought it to drive the piss out of it. And I have been doing just that. The car is awesome. I’m saving for a C8 Z06 but I’m still going to keep my C7.
Great stuff. I looked and all vids are cool enthusiasts cars, nothing wrong with that. How about F150, the upper trims? Platinum, King Ranch, raptor, lariat as baseline. It is America’s 1 selling vehicle. And even gear heads need a truck to tow his toys, daily, home maintenance, etc. It may also get you a lot of views from non car enthusiasts.
As you can see in the video, the data shows that the average depreciation per year is $5.132. The prices are decreasing, but not extremely fast. Especially if you compare the depreciation to the new prices, you can see that the relative depreciation rate is not so high.
ClassicCorvettes & Musclecars I agree. Reliability notes and a scoring/ranking system would be a nice touch to wrap up the vids. I love the analysis but get a little lost in the accent sometimes
This video is obviously outdated. Here is a more recent one: ruclips.net/video/4zXgKyQzWCg/видео.html C7 values are really strong as is the used car market at the moment. Prices are up 7-8 percent for most cars.
The time is now to buy one. You can get an $120k car for half the price from 4 years of being on the market. Bottom line the Z06 is depreciating faster than any other car on the market Lol.
Why do you show 4 trim levels. My understanding is that the 1LZ is the standard trim level, with the 2LZ and 3LZ being the only options. Am I mistaken?
Sharp! That's a very good remark. There are indeed only three trim levels. The cars which I labeled 'standard' are the cars which had no trim level specified in their advertisement. However, I manually checked a few of them and it seems that most of them are of the 1LZ trim level. This is also reflected in the price levels. I should have mentioned that in the video but forgot.

Your analysis is fantastic - I so appreciate your work!!!
Nice video, literally just studied data analytics, not my cup of tea but definitely useful. How long does it take to make a video?
Around 15 hours depending on the difficulty of the market.
epic video. thank you

Almost all the cars depreciate like hell indeed. In the grand scheme of things, the Z06 is not so bad,
Craig Scott I’m with you except passing on c8 keep my c6 GS and my C7 zo6

Thanks for the good suggestion.
Haven’t seen it yet. I mean I see older models still priced high. This is one vehicle that doesn’t fall in price.

Alpha Romeo 4C. Nice channel!!
Thanks. I already did a video about the 4c. You can check it out here: ruclips.net/video/QRetqbBjQdg/видео.html
Do a Reanult ZOE one.
Good suggestion!
C6 Z06 average price has gone up 13 K since 2016
What about the z07 performance package?
While 2015 may b a good year to buy but I’d avoid it just based on the problems they had with overheating.
ClassicCorvettes & Musclecars I agree. Reliability notes and a scoring/ranking system would be a nice touch to wrap up the vids. I love the analysis but get a little lost in the accent sometimes
I added a ranking system to the more recent videos. The accent is unfortunately slightly more difficult to change.
Fourwheel Trader - Car depreciation analysis hahaha. Thanks for the comment. I really appreciate the data. Love it!
Please do an analysis for ferrari F12! F360, F430. Curious where the market is going with these cars. Thanks!
They would all be very suited for an analysis. It has been a while since I covered a Ferrari.
Ohh Man U got this one wrong lol 😂
C7z went up 10-15k in value

I love the Dodge Challenger redeye wide body , please do an analysis on this Vehicle. TY
Good suggestion.
Oil now 29 must ppl think will go lower 20$ you think will effect market cars
The average automatics are way cheaper?? The only reason I haven’t gotten one yet is because I have to save up for a manual
When will you be putting out the video that looks further into the future of C7 Z06 depreciation by analyzing the C6 depreciation?
I included both the C6 and C7 in this video: ruclips.net/video/9wE5f2UWLgQ/видео.html . Note however, that it doesn't cover the Z06.

Cormega215
*BMW and Mercedes Benz walk into the room*
The depreciation is of course high, but one could do worse in this price segment 😬
Cormega215 Really go buy a new zo6 for 60 thousand let me know I will buy 2
Heck yes !
Thank you C8 now I can get a c7
They cost more than brand new now 🤣
Fantastic video, very helpful information for my dream of purchasing a z06.
...then I wake up and remember I only make 33k-year. Maybe one day.
Lord Possible that’s still plenty if you live at home with fam, just save for 2 years and you’ll have 66 K!,
Yuck.
Buying a Corvette may not be the best idea, especially for those saving for retirement.
Haha, i guess that goes for many things in life.
R u showing 4 trim levels for Z06? U keep saying standard, 1lz, 2lz,and 3lz. I don’t believe there is a standard trim. Maybe I’m confused.
You are right, i made a mistake there. Someone else also pointed that out in the comments.
Why do you show 4 trim levels. My understanding is that the 1LZ is the standard trim level, with the 2LZ and 3LZ being the only options. Am I mistaken?

John Boucher 2LZ AND 3LZ are TRIM LEVELS, not to be confused with options.
