After the serum dispersed into the room, the trap was complete. The door was opened, and it left three of them to deal with the sacrifice that was made on their behalf. With Subject One passed out, they managed to break open the door and race him to the hospital. After the events at Syntec Location #3, the team finds themselves slowing down--or being forced to--in order to focus on Matthias' health. They share some laughs, catch-up and have some time to just talk with each other as friends, something they haven't been able to do for awhile. But of course, something always seems to drag them back in...

Damn why is everyone so pressed. IMO this episode wasn’t boring and it was a good change of pace. I liked it and it was nice to see what’s going on in the aftermath of the situation. If you guys want to see the story to seem real or whatever it can’t always be “omg something bad happened”. It’s good for them to relax a little.
I totally agree. I really enjoyed this episode for it is relaxing after the stress of the last few episodes but at the same time Iam waiting for something big to happen in the next couple of episodes

@Meckolo while your theory is sound don’t rule out that the doctor could just be an innocent doctor. While the higher ups he was talking about could be Syphus at Syntec HE might not know that. Syntec “officially disbanded” sometime after the fire (if I’m remembering that right) and they could have continued their work under a different name.

Those two guys in the background at the lobby has got to be important somehow. The camera was literally pointed towards them. My theory is that the people working there are also working for syphus and they are sending matts blood to him so syhus can see how the serum is working on matts body. And I think we are gonna get a load more information in the next episode from the tape, It could answer a lot of questions about project 863. But could also leave us with even more questions than answers.

did we miss something?! theres a big gap, how did they get the door open and didn't say how it affected matt.. what kind of hospital can they bring matt to, a regular one or one that deb recommended, for the serum poisoning, how do u even tell a dr about that.. but if he's doing better, then that means the got an antidote right? otherwise wouldn't he just get worse again later, like the phantoms and need more of the other serum or something.?.
Your not messing anything its meant to be like this. Like where in movies something horrible happens and then it cuts to something right after, but the movie didnt show all of that other stuff. Its like if this were in a movie it would cut and text would appear on screen “1 week later” also they said in the video he has really high levels of radiation in his body. He didnt get any antidote. We just assume that since Woods and Sam did they some how figured a way out. Maybe they show how they did in a future episode or not. I also saw this really cool theory in the comments in here that this might be in Matt’s head haha

This feels like an episode of wandavision because everything feels off in this episode. Although this was a good episode.

I think this set was awful. The props too. The heart rate monitor isn't even connected to him. This episode was disappointing, because they usually do such a good job with sets and props.

@@yankeegrey2810 I have to agree. For a man who was exposed to a potentially radioactive substance with an unknown condition, I feel like he should have been under better surveillance. The entrance and waiting room looked like a tiny little family owned General practice. Plus, if Matt had actually pulled out an IV he would have been leaking blood everywhere. Not the most impressive set they've done. I'm starting to feel like this is going down the soap opera track but I'm still very much invested regardless.

Matt is acting a little too chill about everything. I'd cry if something was wrong with my health. (If i managed to convience myself to go) The radiation is doing something to Matt's mind. Keep an eye out for behavorial changes.
I feel like we are missing a video between when Matt didn’t take the serum and this video. Like I know the description says how they got out but wouldn’t they of recorded that huge moment?
Edit: i need to clarify this. I am NOT disappointed in this episode. I highly enjoyed it. It was a fun curve ball thrown at us and gave us those feel good emotions back with a mix ot saddens and curiosity.
I was just commenting that i was merely confused since it did feel like we missed info but that leaves us more questions which is good. Throwing an unexpected video at this, while we were all expecting something else, was actually awesome.
It goes back to showing us they're youtubers and not simply characters. And that they were human and were more focused on helping matt get to the hospital than filming. But apart of me thought they'd show us in video of them cutting away from the scene as more of a smooth transition. Hence why i got a bit confused.
I wonder if they are going to show clips of it as flashbacks in later episodes
honestly i feel the same i kept going back to see if i have missed something. it could have been condensed as a previously on.... but i think they are working on a timeline so have to squeeze the story in somehow

Everything about this episode is off. First the release was 2 hours late then there’s no intro. Big this is it feels like there’s a missing episode that shows how they got out what Matt’s reaction to the serum was immediately after inhalation. Next we get like 2 minutes of them being serious then we’re watching videos with them and what seems like the premier of Matt’s snack channel. The only thing that feels like it fits in with the story is when Sam brought up the tape. I’m just saying it feels weird

For me, the fact that it was so calm is what's unsettling. He was just exposed to the serum, yet he's claiming he's fine and even convinced Sam and Woods to break him outta the hospital when honestly, the tape could've waited. How do we know that the serum isn't warping his mind and now his body's already craving it? How do we know he isn't going to go into the vault when they least expect it and take as much serum as he can get his hands on?
The saying goes "The calm before the storm"
They should change the vault password so that only sam knows it (woods can possibly be untrustworthy)
He wasn’t just exposed to it, they said it’s been a week from when the last video was filmed, also he is so calm because of the anesthetics that were used. I know they used anesthetics because the purpose of them is to grant the lose of sensations and awareness, thus explaining why he is calm and loopy, and thus explaining that I don’t think his mind is being warped.
Because he didn't inject himself with either the clear or red syrum but a combo of both so I don't think he would crave it especially after what he has seen the red syrum do to plastic leat alone his organs

@@choppar20 but the serum was dispensed via gas bomb into the vault and Matt was the only one who did not take the antidote. If the serum has other ways of entering the body other than injection it was clearly shown in the last episode. Plus the doctor said that there was something going on with his blood that they did not know how to read properly, so need to be sent to an actual lab. This leads me to think that the serum is in his system and whether or not he's on anesthetics the serum could still be affecting him without him realizing it because the serum has been shown to have a drug addicting affect and will do what it can to stay in the body.
When Matt was eating the chocoshrooms I was waiting for him to say "I'll take these home to Luna"
I think were missing an episode. This completely skips over how they got out and how Woods made it out unscathed.
In the process and stress they may not have footage. Or may not know they do.

Oh man the doctor saying he’s having issues with his kidneys really hit me because my brother had to go through this. he had to be on dialysis for a long while and he’s only a year older than me, 22. He just had his transplant last year

@@hehshdbsb4631 oh yea he’s doing a lot better. He’s speaking more than he usually does as well and is very happy he can have more variety of foods now. He’s still dealing with the effects of having to go through it but he’s definitely a lot happier than he was

Over the next while, I can guarantee you we are going to see Matt suffer side effects and changes from the serum. ALSO, 08/06/03 can mean August 6, 2003 or 8th of June, 2003. Either way, some tumbling happened in 2003 to Deb to make her start going on this journey.
So... um... now were going to start seeing the effects of the serum in Matt. Theory 1 is that it takes time to take effect and warp the mind. Theory 2 is that Matt was feeling fine because there was something about the fuids he was attached to in the hospital that helped him not be mind warped. I also feel like the doctor is going to have something to do with syntec and is actually sending Matt's blood and records to them so they can study the effects the serum is having on him

Those two who where sat down in the beginning were sus af, also when the doctor said he was sending his blood to " the higher up's" made me think of (maybe him sending the bloods to syntec labs, because they deal with radiation poisonings) also him (doctor) and the two men (sitting down in the waiting room) was working for syphus or the phantom! Very sus very very sus In my eye's! I'm now scared about matts blood getting into syntec hands because what If he's immune and that's why he's feeling fine?? That’s exactly what I was thinking, plus in an earlier episode didn’t the team find a document or something about syntec trying to expand elsewhere throughout the world, what if they’re sending the blood to syntec facilities in other countries?
What if that they are sending Matt's blood to location 2 and that is where sypus is and then they can study his blood and make antidotes for them self so they can test the serum without getting the radiation poisoning

What happened to the intro of the video? I was really taken aback when they just immediately started the video in the hospital. They could’ve also explained in the intro that the door where they were trapped opened and Matt passed out, instead of writing it in the description

I mean, most of that was because I was gassy and my insomnia wasn't related to the video, but while I was laying in bed waiting for the Gas-X to work, I kept thinking about that ending and how terrifying it would have been for everyone to be in that situation.
This is like the Christmas episode in an anime. But matt finally got his snack video 😂
In storywriting and film making there is a rule of 'show , don't tell' and this series has followed it quite well, this episode on the other hand was quite off putting(im not saying its bad, i do like this episode it uses peace to create ominousity and tension where there is no appearance of it and i like that alot) there were a few coincidences and inconsistencies this coupled with the missing intro and irregular editing makes me believe this is all in matt's head, my theory is that after inhaling the serum to a degree he may have collapsed and passed out and this like a dream in his head and while this is going on sam woods and quinn are trying to either wake him up or trying to get him to safety another thing i noticed is the date on the laptop and the time in the laptop and the clock on the wall those do not match up for example right before the father son moments video it shows 5:45 and on his laptop it says 5:12 and the date on the laptop is 8-6-2021 and the date on the tape is 8-6-2003 now this is a stretch but 21 as in 2 + 1 = 3 so 2003, also the fact that he never shoes before escaping is weird to me the monitor on the side says 63 which also grabs my attention

I totally like your theory! It adds up that they are watching all the old videos together, as if Matts life flashes in front of him on the verge of dying. So I also think it IS just a dream or some sort of hallucinations caused by him being poisoned by the serum...

I love this episode but it feels kinda off to me. First the people in the waiting room then the doctor being a little bit suspicious, and Matt not feeling any side effects of the serum. It just feels kinda off. Like I said I love the video and that they got a break but I can’t shake a weird feeling about this video too. It seems TOO calm to me.

to be honest, it was probably just a way to try and stay in character or him just fidgeting, and if it wasn't then its really good attention to detail lol
When I saw the thumbnail and title, I thought Matt really had something wrong which would put a hiccup in the series but this is part of the series. Scared me for a moment.

It makes sense that what's in the description isn't in a video. If your friend was in serious danger would you just be like "Lol, record this!" Na, you'd drop everything and rush to get them help. This series is supposed to be immersive. Make you feel like it's actually happening irl.
That being said, someone should've put a little "Check the description" notification at the beginning of the video. A lot of people don't read the descriptions.

Idk why but this whole hospital segment gave me anxiety. When yall were watching vids it was hilarious but everything else about it was weird vibes for me

I love this episode! i absolutely can sense the vibes of Matthias's older videos. But on another note, that hospital is fishy. Why were the two people in the lobby looking at Quinn (or the camera) that way? And why does the doctor seem so nervous when he sees the camera? Is he hiding something and is he trying not to accidentally reveal something?
Hmmm I think it's fine for strangers to look at someone with a giant camera to be weirded out, but that doctor... Yeah lol

For me, the fact that it was so calm is what's unsettling. He was just exposed to the serum and he's claiming he's fine and even convinced Sam and Woods to break him outta the hospital when honestly, the tape could've waited. How do we know that the serum isn't warping his mind and now his body's already craving it?

Warning ⚠️ Breaking the Spell:
Based off the previous channels under Hi5 (Spellbound), it was always Matt’s intention to step back once the channel becomes sustainable. What if this hospitalization/possible death will lead to his character’s removal from the channel. Forwarding Project 863 to be under Woods and Sam so that Matt could focus on future projects for Spellbound.

Think back to Spellbound’s mission statement, it was something like, create worlds so immersive that people… Currently under Spellbound there’s only one world which is the Project 863 world. Eventually Matt will start creating and expanding more worlds to accomplish his company’s mission. It might be a stretch to say that he would step away now considering that it’s only season 2 out of many, but It would happen eventually. Also looking at Project 863, the amount of views has significantly decreases with Season 1 averaging out about 700k (just a guess) per video which Season 2 averages out 400k (another guess) per video. If Project 863 is Spellbound’s main money maker then I believe it no longer captivate the same about of people as before which may cause Matt to create more series similar to this one in order to captivate the audience once more and fulfill his mission.

I don't know if this is only me, but, the doctor seems suspicious, taking Matt's blood to another facility might be just a cover for him being a phantom and wanting to take the blood to analyze the serum out of it. The very low liver function would atleast make Matt lazy, which he isnt
i feel like this is a really cool episode. I feel like there’s like an underlaying bit of spookiness between the unprofessional “wear your mask!” signs and the weird eye contact between the camera and the two people in the waiting room. The way the doctor talks and presents themselves. idk i really like it.
