Very nicely put forward. Very nice video and very informative. Few things which you can add - Within L1A, there is further bifurcation which is Blanket approval. If you have L1A (Blanket) then it becomes easy to get visa and renewal doesn't get rejected.
Hi Priya, that was very informative video. I have question what If I travel to USA on L1 visa after two years if i was approached by some employer, can I move there on H1B while being on L1 visa?
My lab Texas analytical labs is in medical and environmental area. Can be trained in specialized are which my daughter-in-law does from DILLI on computer.
Hi Priya - Can you expand a bit on your L1B visa rejection story. In another video as well it was mentioned but I cannot find any other video of yours on the same. It would be really helpful for folks awaiting their L1B visa interviews and what to expect in case it does not go as expected.
Thank you, very informative. I have one question, considering your experience or what you've heard from other colleagues. L-1B visa requieres Specialized Knowledge, which is defined in the USCIS page as "Specialized knowledge means either special knowledge possessed by an individual of the petitioning organization’s product, service, research, equipment, techniques, management, or other interests and its application in international markets, or an advanced level of knowledge or expertise in the organization’s processes and procedures" --> Any specific considerations to have for justifying Specialized Knowledge? Any common blockers you've heard of? I'm trying to understand if I could be potentially eligible regarding my experience and knowledge in my current company.
My wife has L1B stamped on her passport. It is valid till 2027. She is in India. I am on H1B visa and I am in the US. If she gets H4 visa stamped on her passport in India now, is there any chance that her L1B visa will be revoked?
Hi priya very good informative video. What is method to get the work visa, if H1B is not getting. what is the way forward for getting the visa to work in USA
Hi Priya, I also work for Google and on an L1A visa starting July 2022. Will you suggest applying for H1B right now or wait for 3 years? I was hesitant to change to an H1B status since L1A has better GC path and spouse EAD chances. Moreover, since I was not a manager for >1 year outside of US, I cannot apply for EB1C Green card process. So, will I have to go out of US for 1 year and come back to apply for Eb1. What will you suggest in that case? Thanks so much in advance!
I would recommend having H1B as back up but not change your status till you absolutely must. My L1A had gotten rejected so I moved to h1B only then. Moving out of US for a year and getting EB1 is the best way to get GC else you will always be in the H1B grind. It's a tough choice to be honest but having H1B as a back up is a no brainer.
@@itsokyaaar Thank you so much, so helpful! A quick follow up please, if I get an H1B in lottery this year, can I still hold my L1A for the next 3 years and shift to H1B only after that? And in case my L1A gets renewed after 3 years, can I totally disregard H1B and continue with L1A till 7 years.
@@ritwizshukla yes you have to be very clear with the lawyer to file h1b as consular processing so that your status doesn't change till you request it as COS. I had my H1B approved as back up and I only used COS after my L1 was rejected. Hope this helps!
hi, please answer my query. I am working in MNC in India and I got H1B through other consultancy. Now I want to transfer h1B to my current employer before travel to USA. What is the process?
L1B visa holders need to move to H1b and apply for EB2 or EB3. Or they can try to move to L1A after leaving for a year and coming back. Unfortunately, L1B even with an i140 cannot stay beyond 5 years
Hi Priya, 1. Very informative video. Appreciate it. 1. Corrent me if I understand correctly, PERM process is not needed for L1B (Blanket) category? 2. How long does it take to get the I-140 approval? 3. Can we change employer after getting I-140 approved not adversely impacting GC process? 4. Should I-140 COMPLETED within 5 years or just FILING of I-140 is adequate within 5 years? 5. What is the next after I-140 completed? 6. Is there any travel restriction leaving USA to visit India (or any other places outside USA) until I-140 approved?
1) yes your directly apply i-140 2) depends and varies but took me anywhere between 9-12 months for L1 A 3) I wouldn't recommend, also NO because your L visa is tied to employer 4) has to be completed and hopefully get your GC as extension is not possible after 5 years also recommend checking this with lawyer 5) applying for GC in the EB1 category if possible 6) no as long your visa is valid and you have a valid stamp .. please double check everything with lawyer because every case is different!! Hope this gives insight! Best of luck
you can. But it'll be EB1-A. L1 visa holders are eligible for EB1-C and it's much more easier to qualify for that than EB1-A. Check uscis website to understand the difference between EB1A and EB1C
Very clear explanation👏 I am currently in L1b visa and h1b is picked but i want to stay in L1b for few more years until my spouse h1b is picked. Is there a way that i can hold h1b for few years and change my visa status?
When the priority date is currently you can immediately file for the green card, only a couple of months ago it moved back so even if you file in EB1 you will have to wait till the date becomes current! Helps?
