I own the full size Range Rover, and the Meridian sound system is my favourite in any car. Bang on clarity, amazing bass and so much volume to play around with you could hurt your ears. I've never went past 30/50
Meridian Surround in my Evoque here also with 825w like in the video.
If I ever go past 40 I might die.
Perfectly balanced system, every song sounds amazingly good and the bass makes your whole body vibrate.
A shame you aren’t using bang & olufsens premium system which is insane coming in at 2500 watss.
~1920w they don't have over 2'000.
Then take the Meridian 1'700w Signature. It will easily outperform the B&O

Bang and olufsen is the best out of the 2 the richness and quality is just something else. Having owning B&O headphones and B&O Bluetooth speaker everything else just doesn't cut it
Nah. You can't compare headphones with an in-car system.
Meridian is superior, this 825w system sounds insane
@@v12-s65 I meant B&O in general with fantastic sound I know mine doesn’t have the same power output as a car sound system I had meridian sound system in my previous car and I wasn’t too impressed a couple of speakers vibrated in the door ever so slightly B&O is my all time favourite

I swapped a Q8 with the Premium Plus package for a Range Rover Sport with the Meridian Sound System 6 months ago. I use the sound systems all the time and they’re both very good - clean, authentic, and well balanced. If I had to chose I’d give it to Meridian by a short head. B&O lacks a little mid-range although the bass is authoritative, and I kept having to tone down the treble. It took me two or three weeks to set up the Meridian but once I had, it won me over.
Do you have the Meridian Surround with 825w like in the video? I mean the same Range Rover also... because I heard the B&O in an Audi A6 and the bass was nowhere near what my Evoque can deliver
@@v12-s65 Yes, I have the same (facelifted) series two Range Rover Sport with the same 19 speaker Meridian system.
lets be real, most people arent buying a car only on its sound system. So if your getting a Jag/ Land Rover, youll be happy with the meridian options. And if your buying an Audi, Ford, Aston Martin, Lambo youll be happy with the bang and olufsen option.
The Ford B&O system is terrible
I do buy them because of the sound systems. What else do you do when driving a car other than listen to music?
Well no. I'm one of many who have the 825 Meridan in my and it sucks. Just upgraded it.
Very pointless to compare because each brand usually has a cheaper option from one brand and another more expensive one from another. On b,was they can offer Harmon Kardon on some and then the one costing 8 times more could be bang and olufsen. Plus each car has its own set up whihc could alter the experience. Unless a manufacturer offered two different brand options on the same car at the same price point, I don’t see much point in this.
They are both the mid level sound systems.
17 speakers with 755w against 19 with 825w. Both surround systems too. What's not to compare?
@@v12-s65 because they are essentially reviewing the brands. For certain manufactures, they use the different ones for various price points. BMW tend to use Harmon kardon for the lower end ones and then bang and olufsen for the premium, more powerful systems. Thus, it’s pointless to put forth a review suggesting such a thing when it’s all down to a like for like set up on each car.
@@Horizon301. I get what you mean but it should be clear that there are a thousand different sound systems from each brand. The Meridian in the Sport is different from the Evoque for example.
Meridian Surround is not the highest option on a Range Rover.
There is also Signature Reference option which offers 1700W.
Same can be said about the B&O, there is the optional 1920W.
Not used to hearing Maddie being so serious 😂

Bang & Olufson is almost hundred years with lots heritage. Now owned by Samsung. Nevertheless is a class above Meridian
Not it's definitely not. Bang & Olufsens never managed to make a really high class system. Gets outperformed by Burmester and Meridian beats both tbf
