Presenter Pat Kenny sets up this item with news that Garda headquarters released details of the training course for recruits heading to Namibia. They will be taught trekking through the jungle, hand to hand combat, and cookery.
Garda Chef (Dermot Morgan) explains what is involved in the cookery element of the training.

Among the dishes he describes is Chicken a la South Africa, ‘Duck. It’s Bank Raid’ and ‘Grilled Suspect’. Unfortunately the ‘Pigs Trotters’ are off the menu.
