There will be somebody out there now plotting to try and break this record. And that is another of the amazing outcomes from Sean's super human achievement. James Lawerence before him, inspired Sean and now we will see another, sometime, try to climb further up the mountain as humans are inspired by one another, and where we think Sean is the toughest mentally, another will appear and go even farther, and thats what makes sport so damn exciting. The human potential is truly endless.
Hi, I done Ironman Kalmar last Saturday, my 9:th Ironman. When I was struggling in the running, I thought of Sean , and what he did became so much incredible. I started to do jokes with myself and told me , well tomorrow I will do this again. 🤪. It really felt impossible. I convinced my legs that they will do it again in Kona/Hawaii. My legs didn’t be so happy. Is it possible that the body adapts to do it. Sean is really amazing but it’s amazing what the body is capable to do. My best regards Marie-Louise
NOTICE TO DAVID GOGGINS (and all his fans): This is proof that you can produce superhuman feats of endurance whilst being a thoroughly pleasant human being and without calling everyone a "M*ther-F*cker" or trying to prove to everyone (who never asked) that you're a "the most savage human" on the planet.
I would rank Iron Cowboys 50 Ironmans, in 50 states in 50 days as more difficult. Adding in the logistics of that to me is more difficult. Although this WR is extremely impressive.
Jonas Deichmann has stared his journey to break this record. Physically he is very much on par, if not stronger than shawn, but I think there is a major flaw in Jonas plan. He is not at home, he has a rented apartment. That will be mentally draining eventually, i am quite sure.
Really, nobody is going to notice anybody unless they go big. They don't care if they beat the Iron Cowboy by 1 or 5 Ironmans. Seriously somebody is going to have to go to 200 to get the press.
Well it got our attention and respect. It was for a fantastic cause too, so I would say that they achieved everything they set out to do. It wasn’t simply for press recognition
They followed the rules set by Guinness. Ironcowboy also used a team to draft off. A lot of the clips used in this video are from the final day, in which A LOT of people turned up to support. Many days Sean was riding and running on his own, or with just 1 or 2 other people
This is exactly the kind of challenge in which a plant-based nutrition would give you massive benefits in terms of recovery. I don't really understand why he eats so much dairy.
Would love to see what his Garmin said about fatigue
Status: Dead :)
Unproductive 😂
My Polar watch would have gone from ‘overreaching’ to ‘proper dead’ 😂
@@sinancetinkaya🤣🤣🤣
Probably indicate status as "Reincarnated"
This is absolutely insane.
I am blown away by Sean's mental toughness and recovery powers.
Thanks GTN for covering this amazing day.
Right!
The fact that he’s still smiling and joking around is amazing. This man is a case study in grit and mental endurance! Incredible story
Not only is he a superhuman athlete beyond our wildest dreams, he’s also a lovely bloke. Well done Sean! 💪👍
It was awesome to be a part of and great to meet the GTN guys. Once in a lifetime opportunity.
Thanks for having us 🙌
You're legend, Sean! Huge congrats!
Real life Forrest Gump except with two more disciplines! Awesome
This is quite a challenge😲Glad he finishes it in good health and injury free🙏

I can’t imagine wanting to do anything else after this, but then again it isn’t about the distances it’s about inspiring others.
Followed his amazing effort from the start. Glad you showed behind the scenes stuff as I was wondering what his support looked like
Tremendous achievement and Sean was so positive, even at the end of 102.

He was at the brutal in Wales a few weeks ago doing the double iron distance. He said it was his first actual race 😂
Here i am worrying about doing a half ironman relay next year this guy does 102 full ironmans back to back
To say that is impressive would be an understatement. Strong person but the team behind him is just as strong.
Since yesterday the record is broken by the incredible Jonas Deichmann
An amazing achievement and it is great to see he did it close to where I'm from. I can't wait to see what he does next!
Us too!
This is absolutely mind boggling 👏👏👏
I saw Shaun once on a run in the Lake District. I waved and said “ hi” he said “ hi” back…. Top Bloke
Dude looks like he has just been talking to a ball on a desert island.
This is David Goggins hero.
14:55 the kid in the back xD
It would be interesting to find out how many tires, running shoes and everything else this consumed, also the number of calories he burned.
No bike parts had to be replaced, and he consumed between 10000 and 8000 a day
@@kreativekoala5727where can you find this data(
I am as close to grasping how this is even possible as to understand the endlessness of the universe 🤯
Busy man. Glad that he finally got time for training.
Absolute madness. I raced just two Olympic distance tris in the same week, and I feel pretty tired 😂
Great achievement though! Well done
@@jimjamthebananaman1 thanks. Now on to the 70.3 next month.
Meanwhile I've never rode 180km before 😔 😟
How this is even possible? Like cmoon 😯
I was wondering does he not have a job? How does he fund this or does he receive good funding whilst doing this?
BBC Sports Personality of the Year for this year, surely!
Excellent achievement
YES… drop the mic! 🎤
Incr4edible. Thanks, GTN, for sharing Sean's story with us! I'd love to learn how many total bananas Sean consumed during the 105 days.
It must be nice to have that kind of leisure and finance
Massive Respect

Had the pleasure of driving 60 miles to join him in a swim at 05.00 am 😆 proper nice guy
My math says that 105 ironman distance races should set him back about $20K at $200 each. I hope he wins some prize money for this feat!
whats the 200$ coming from?
I like how his beard makes him more aero on the bike 😹 beard power 💪
Hi I am 12 year old and there are no tri club near me how do I get started in triathlon
31 August 2023
Curious about how much time he spent on the pool, bike and run on an average day.
There’s an episode of the IM Talk Podcast where he chats about all of his numbers etc. episode 882 :)
Wow, mad kudos to this Welsh dragon !!!
Zimbabwean 😃
Adrkan Kostera is doing triathlon 365😮
legend

WOW!!!
Pretty insane
That’s ultra
How many calories did he burn???
Pretty sure i saw some drafting
😅
🤯🤯🤯
So he beat Iron Cowboy?

Yeaahhh
very great?
What the actual F? :O
It is a draft allowed record? Kkkk
Think he should be DQ'd for drafting TBH, triathlon isnt a team event

Call it what you want, but no difference things like sub7. Why not do it on a motorcycle.
@@Mike0 😂 right
@mike0, have you ever been at an ironman event? There is a lot of drafting going on in tbe age groupers and rarely penalised

OF course you had to feel like the protagonist here and question someone else's choices.
