Yep, was there. A rare year of unbroken sunshine. Got sunburned to within an inch of my life 😂 A great few days though, with lots of good memories.
Back in '96 I walked into The Longboard in HB SoCal and sat next to a guy having a beer by himself at the bar. We got into a conversation about surf nazis taking over the beach and the best way to build a koi pond of all things. He said he was in a band but we didn't get into much depth about it. A couple days later I saw him in a music video and told all my friends I just got drunk with this guy last Saturday afternoon. They just laughed and said whatever. Turns out it was Dexter.

One time I met Teppie Teranishi in a petco near my house. His band Thrice was my all time favorite. Most people don't know them, but for those who know them well know how amazing Teppie plays. Out of all the artists I could have ran into, it was a treat running into him.

Never realized the OFFSPRING had a huge following Oversea's! Finally got to see them in 2017 at a small Native Casino,, just out of Spokane Washington. When they played bad habit, it was right in the middle of a wrap around hotel 😆 .Everyone was singing at the top of their lung's!!!
They where huge in europe. Soundtrack of every middleclass highschool teenage kid
Americana was the first album I ever bought as a 14 yo just getting into alt music, The Offspring were my gateway drug.
Watching this performance in 95 made me decide I had to get to Glasto, I did a few years later as a teenager, paying a few quid a week off the ticket at a local booking office because I couldn't afford the price tag in one go! The 1995 lineup was one of, if not the THE best ever, amazing.
Your first festival is always usually a mind blower.

I was at that show, biggest regret was leaving after The Offspring’s set. Soundgarden played after & he died a few weeks later..

And before they screwed over Greg k their basis who was co founder. It's ridiculous how they did him and then they fired their drummer because his doctor said he couldn't get the vacc*ne due to medical reasons. Dexter and noodles changed over the last 20 years

Miss these days such good chill vibes ..Me and 7 others risked life to see cold play and others at Glastonbury 2005 the year of the famous flood and mud I can say we were lucky we got home from and didn’t drown if you could in 4ft of rain water the lightning alone should have told us to go home when the tower got hit…We also went in 2004 and 2007 it was not as bad flood wise but rained miserably..
Most the people in this video are in their 50s now......

It kind of strikes me. When I started getting into Offspring in 1999, I always saw Dexter as this super confident, cool guy. Looking at this, it's easy to see just where these lyrics came from.

@@clover182Harry no this upload Is from the TV broadcast BBC for Glastonbury. Usually they only recorded a few songs of each band. But the bootleggers would record the whole set but just from the one position.
@@HometownUnicorn I meant the guy you see with the camcorder was the same guy who uploaded this video. He had these songs on VHS, he has also uploaded some songs from his audience recording

Along with Nirvana’s Nevermind, my fav album of all time... Ixnay on The Hombre was pretty hard core too but yeah they did have a silly phase but then kind of went back to their old ways in recent years👍🏼

...all the southern California bands turned into bootlickers, NOFX, Bad Religion, Rage against the machine, Dead Kennedy's, Circle Jerks, Green Day....f all of them. They're nothing more than entertainers, pushing politics for paychecks.
