Victim Mentality Doesn’t Work With Cops

  • Today, we’re watching the cringiest police body camera video on the internet. A woman, who was pulled over for drunk driving, rattles off a list of oppressions she faces that excuses her from the traffic stop, including being non-binary, indigenous, and socially anxious. While this video is a funny watch, it sadly encapsulates the woke left’s perpetual victim mentality.

Interrupting the police officers' duty with nonsense and personal facts instead of acknowledging that it's your turn to stop talking and do what is asked of you is incredibly immature and a lot of what's wrong with people today. Social anxiety is not an excuse for stupidity. Having suffered from social anxiety myself, to such a degree that even leaving my house to get groceries was enough to scare me, I can’t even imagine using “Erm, my my my s-s-social anxiety is w-why I almost k-k-killed someone.” The victim of your drunk driving isn’t gonna give af about your social anxiety, because it’s never an excuse. It’s already a bad idea for you to be drinking if your anxiety was that bad.

Many years ago, I pulled myself over behind a police cruiser because I was too intoxicated to drive and blatantly told the officers that, which they did not disagree. I knew I was a danger to myself and others and accepted I could be in serious trouble, that they told me that they respected what I did and for that they only towed my car and would have allowed me to go home, but nobody picked up a phone, so instead kept me in protective custody until the morning. In my country, a lot of people go on family vacations by a family car ride across the country. And it takes the whole day. On days where it is common to visit family like Eid, there is a lot of car crashes happening. To prevent it you would get pulled over by a cop or two occasionally. I remember when I was very little, I got scared of that. But my mom taught me that you should always trust cops, and they are always there to help you with a bad situation. It’s sad that in America everyone disrespects them this way. They are there to protect you.

I had a bad anxiety attack last time I got pulled over - said I was speeding.
Know what I did? Polite and calm, drove carefully after being told I could go, had my anxiety attack at home, like a sane and rational (if past-traumatized) adult does.

Anyone else care to point out that playing the indigenous card while driving drunk is a huge loss for stereotypes surrounding the indigenous community ? What's one of the biggest stereotypes around indigenous people ? Ding ding ding alcoholism perpetuating dangerous situations ... way to push an already huge stereotype even further . Absolute disgrace .
