    I’d add Multi tool, cotton balls and petroleum jelly. Ruger has several guns around $300

    That's why we have
    5 million new gun owners, because no matter what you think, people are scared and want to defend themselves. I carry a Taurus daily carry. I love the high point prices, warranty, carbines are nail drivers and the pistols work they're ugly as crap but they always fire for me and are reliable.

    Pistol of choice under $500 is the Springfield XD 9.
    Battle rifle would be an AR-15 that can shoot .223 and 5.56.
    Long ranged rifle in .308, which would be an AR-10, Springfield M1A, or a bolt action.

    Adventure Outdoors makes a handy knife sharpener that folds flat & barely fills your palm for about $10.
    A sharp knife never goes out of style.

    To say sccy isn’t the same quality as older Taurus firearms is a bit crazy. I had 2 of them for 5 years and never had a malfunction.

    • @Prepare2Survive
      @Prepare2Survive 3 года назад

      Probably because you didn't shoot them enough. I had a newer SCCY CPX-2 version that I bought new and it kept breaking after shooting around 500 rds. Each time it was something different that broke and each time SCCY fixed it for free, but I can't trust a gun like that because it's just not made to hold up long term.

    • @JackAustin613
      @JackAustin613 3 года назад

      @@Prepare2Survive I had at least 1500 rounds through one. The seconded one I bought used and have no idea how many time they fired it but I put at least another 500 through it. I’m sure I’m exaggerating when I say never but I had so few malfunctions that they are not memorable. Only reason I don’t still have them is I got a hell of a 2 for 1trade on them.

    • @Prepare2Survive
      @Prepare2Survive 3 года назад

      @@JackAustin613 Well, you just got lucky. Better to spend an extra 50-100 bucks and get something that will hold up for 20,000+ rds. Something like a Ruger, S&W, Sig, Glock, etc.

    Take what you want from what I am about to say. Shotguns are incredible, the most versatile firearm in the world. You can change the shell to suit the situation, they do not do well against body armor if you are facing that and they are short range weapons at best. Yes with rifled barrel and sabot slugs, maybe 150 yards. Pistols can be concealed and that should be the first buy maybe. They do not do well versus body armor either and they are short range at best. Rifles, now the work gets done. Speed is king in projectiles, given that they are built to do the intended job. 5.56 will go right through soft body armor and they can reach out there to 300 yard. Yes they can go farther, but the average shooter is going to have problems shooting farther. It might be experience, eye sight etc, lack of good optics. That is my take on it, whatever you buy, shoot it a lot and get to know it!

      Remember how Resistance groups in WWII would use a handgun to shoot from ambush & kill/wound a soldier to take his rifle before giving the handgun to someone else to repeat the process.

    "ANITIFA versus Racists" We know who side you are on, say hi to Karl from Inrange a fellow communist like you.
    You can be against BLM and ANTIFA and not be a racist.

      I had to do a rewind when I heard that. He definitely called everyone else “racists” who go against Antifa. Last I checked BLM and Antifa are fascist and very racist in the ideology and their members claims those stances. This is the type of guy who lets the government tell him that “white supremacy” is the most dangerous element in the country today because he can’t think for himself.

      The thing is theres a diff between prepping for a natural disaster or civil unrest about a months worth of stuff on top of your daily routine stuff vs the End of Days type that prep to live 20+ years even tho they are fat and take 3 or more prescription drugs.
