Please, someone with a diagnosis who has studied this from the inside, please evaluate this.

It is said that autism has been around forever just diagnosis has changed. Why did I not see children with these problems when I was at school in the 70's? We now have more autistic children needing special needs teaching than ever before. Our education system is at breaking point (70% rise in 2 years) in the UK. Sorry we DID NOT have this problem in the 60's and 70's.

Oh you did, but guess what was done with the "problem" children? They were beaten and berated because they were born different. My dad was born with autism, and he went to school in the 70s and 80s, and for him it was years of relentless and cruel bullying. His bullies would wait outside the school for him or on his route home just so they could hurt him. There were children all around you with autism, but they were kept out of sight as to not distract or disturb other students. We're considered "problem children", after all.

@@pastelmask Well just found out that autism wasn't around before 1930. A scientist then came out and said that vaccines were causing it, no one would listen, now 1 in 30 children being diagnosed.

@@pastelmask Here is a study done by a professor in the UK who has been studying the negative effects of aluminium on the brain for decades (there is aluminium in vaccines)
It was found extremely high amounts of aluminium in the brains of people with autism. Here is the actual study.

@@pastelmask As for children with autism being kept out of sight, not true.
I had 2 friends who had a mentally handicapped family member. One of them was a boy who also had deformed hands. He was the most gentle person, no high pitched screams and aggressive behaviour. Not sure what was wrong with the other boy, he too did not have behaviour problems.
Today children with autism go to normal schools but need specially trained teachers, this was not so in the 60's. Our special class in high school had 5 students, they were dyslexic.

@@pastelmask This is not normal. If autism was as prevalent in the 60's as it today, it woud be 50% of all children born woud have it.
