    Thanks so much. Just got a new one of these which was giving me a battery dry error, replaced the battery and still couldn't get it to save.
    This method with the SAVER folder definitely fixed my problem, so thanks again.

    If you press start on the menu folder you can directly start the last game so you don't have to search for it again

    Great info. I have a feeling this will be a popular video. Although I don’t know how common those are.

      I don’t either. It just took me hours and 3 videos and some forums to figure it all out so hopefully this will save someone the time.

    It's like regular saving, but with extra steps.

    Great video. The only issue with the reset button is that you cannot use it on a DMG. So you have to shut off and back on again, hit save, then shut off again.

    So do I have to do this any time I want to save in any game? Or does this just create a back up save? Will it still work if I just use the in game save feature and turn it off ?

    So the Ez Flash Jr works with a .sav file type? The big issue I'm having right now is that I'm trying to use an Ez Flash Omega to play GB & GBC games but that uses an inbuilt emulator called Gooba or something and it seems that requires a different file type, so when I'm playing my games on my phone emulator I can't then drag & drop the save file onto the Omega & just carry on like I do with GBA games, I think it saves as .esv which then in turn doesn't work with the emulator on my phone! So it's all just a lot of hassle right now trying to get my saves to work across phone emulator to Ez Flash.

    • @FreelanceFaust
      @FreelanceFaust  3 года назад

      I don’t know if this will work or not but you can maybe put the sd card on your pc and rename it to a .sav file and see if that works

    • @TRAXXAS58
      @TRAXXAS58 3 года назад

      @@FreelanceFaust I did that and it worked on the emulator on my phone but then when trying to put it back to a .esv so run it on the Ez Flash it wouldn't recognise it again, I need to be able to play it on my phone then swap to the cart for trades & things then go back to my phone

    Hey i have a Question about EZ-FLASH jr flash cart,
    Could you test can confirm that if you load a Gameboy roms from it, you can use the color palette swap button combination to swap the color pallet.
    For example;- Left+B to get the monochromatic palette.
    Thank you in advance.

    I already bought it for the price it's superior to Krikzz offerings, but I will go for the next iteration with save states hopefully as soon as they are released if the price it's in line with the omega definitive edition

    You mentioned having to turn the console back on to save, so that it doesn't dry up your batteries. Does this apply with auto-save enabled?

  • @kxg9000

    That still doesn't make it readable by Pokemon Stadium 1 or 2, right?

    are you able to transfer a sav file from a emulator game to the ez flash? and also, does it have support to link it to another game boy device and transfer? like pokemon.

    • @FreelanceFaust

      I would assume as long as it's the same file type it would work. I have not tried it though.

    Does itatter which ez flash jr I get? There are so many versions on AliExpress with with different numbers on the board

      Yes. For this tutorial you need to use the one that actually says EzFlash. It is the actual brand name.

    What about highscores games like Tetris and other that keep a highscore?

    • @someoneelse1534
      @someoneelse1534 Год назад

      Depends on the game.
      The original GB Tetris didn't have a save battery and so the high-score reset every time the console was turned off. So the high score won't be saved to the Ez Flash either because the cartridge never gets a call to save any data to SRAM.
      However some game did have battery to save high-scores, such as: Kirby's Pinball Land, and Tetris DX (GBC version). These will work.

    Does not work for me. Any ideas? Does my battery need replacing or something, pokemon saves go to saver folder but when i reboot the game there is no "continue". It doesnt actually auto load or have a load button. I store games in a folder called ROMS. Help apprecoated

    • @FreelanceFaust
      @FreelanceFaust  3 года назад

      The battery can die yes. If you have meter you can test the battery to see if it still has voltage. If not you could try buying another one. That may or may not be the problem but it would be an easy first set to finding the problem.
