    I miss my brother and my friend Curtis Anderson. 40 years of friendship. Curtis would end a conversation with these words "it is what it is".I truly miss you my buddy.

    George Tobin , based this on Smokey Robinson's "Tell me tomorrow " , which he produced and arranged in 1981.

    This is the original version from 1982 which was also covered very well by Donald Albert, produced by George Tobin, there was a big buzz around this tune mid 80s

    Always loved this track (and the Donald Albert version too). Sad to find out that Curtis is no longer with us, but what a legacy. Rest in peace

    Curtis died in 21st July 2015, Baltimore, Maryland, U.S.A, pancreatic cancer.

      So sad to hear this news. Love this song which evokes so many memories. I have actually cried to this song. Our first son was given the name Anderson as a second name as this tune means so much to us.

    Awesome. story behind it is so sad as well - as I remember it the record dealer (don't remember who) boughta handful off curtis anderson and he promised that he had more - but turned out to be a class 1 drug addict - and there were no more - tragic - fantastic record imho
