I've loved both for a VERY long time. Fantastic flavors, rich aromas when opened. You just can't go wrong with either.
I love both brands of potato chips and love the flavors of original, sour cream and onion, bbq,cheddar cheese and both have their own unique ways of enjoying them. Lays are good for casual snacking while Pringles are good for travel especially the small cans to keep them from being crushed in travel

My favorite was Mikesell's, made in Dayton, Ohio but I recently heard that they were going out of business.
@michaelterrell I can imagine how disappointing it must be to hear about Mikesell's. It's a brand with a rich history in Dayton.
@@BabbleTop I grew up with them. In Middletown, Ohio. A lot of people argued that Hudson's were better but I preferred Mikesell's because they only used pure peanut oil, and they were sliced so thin that you could almost see through them. That really helped the taste.
Kahn's made great Pepper Loaf in Cincinnati, so both were local and fresh. A sandwich with four ounces of it on whole grin bread, a couple apples and te chips were a frequent lunch when I worked night shift in a suburb of Cincinnati, in the mid '80s. Other nights, there was a pizza place next ti the deli in our shopping center that fed me. Kahn's was bought by the company that owns Byran's 'flavor of the south' not long after. They had their own crap version, so the good stuff was dropped. Now I can't even find any peperloaf in this part of Florida. I bought the Byran's once. It had huge chunks of fat in the slices. Some as big as my thumb. It was greasy and tasteless. It's a good thing they stopped selling ythat crap.

Team Pringles for me.
Pringles has better texture. Too much empty space in Lays chip bags. Probably tmi but Lays upsets my digestion while Pringles do not.
@theoriginalThud It makes sense to prefer Pringles if you appreciate the unique texture. The consistency in Pringles can be appealing compared to the varying textures in traditional potato chips like Lays.
I never liked the chalky, pasty mouth feel of Pringles and never thought they tasted like potatoes. Lay's, Cape Cod, Zapp's, and Uncle Ray's for me. Anything but store brands and Golden Flake. Yuck. ⬅⬅
