Back in the 60's-70's, Warshawsky's Automotive ( J.C. WHITNEY & CO.) in Chicago, sent a catalog out every quarter full of aftermarket parts & nostalgia. Those transfers would be in there. My dad and I would drive down to the city on Saturday, to get parts for the Rambler. He would always buy me 1 or 2 iron-on transfers. I would have to go to the store with my mom, help her shop & carry groceries up the steps, and put them away at home. In the bag was 1 or 2 fruit of the loom crisp white t-shirts that she would iron-on those transfers on. J.C. WHITNEY& CO. now is located in LaSalle County Illinois. This warehouse is jammed pack full of this NOS stuff.

@@GarageSaleMonster if there was 175 in there then even if she put in all the time it would take to piece each out individually and never taking anything under $15 for every single one... she'd make a bit over $2600.
Also she said at first that she "knew" they were worth at least $1k. Seemed like she would have taken a thousand cash right there (which is still too high, for a bulk deal to get them all gone). Pretty damn big jump to come back at triple that once she's re-looked over her own stuff

17:00 One of the scores of my lifetime was TWO of those pin trader albums with pins... at a yard sale for $20. Total. The seller's mom had collected them and she wanted them gone. Her price, btw. I sold the lot on eBay for over $600. Some unused trader bags and pins added even more to the total. Someone else got a good deal too.
3k was a STEAL on those pins!! You missed out you could’ve sold those for $400 easily!! Live and Learn!! 😊

Cary released that video awhile ago. And the guy didn't try to rip him off. It really was an honest mistake.
Cary wasn't really listening, I think he was mathing in his mind when the seller pointed out exactly what was included in the sale. Also, they went back & forth a bit too as Cary was debating whether he really wanted them before he paid.
The real issue was that the seller was a bit of a douchecanoe about giving Cary his money back!
Cary was 100% completely in the right! I was extremely proud of Cary for standing up for himself too because he is not confrontational AT ALL!! He wasn't rude to the seller in the least bit. He explained calmly that he thought it was a different, better deal than what was ultimately given to him. And he very politely told the seller that regardless of whether money had exchanged hands already (because it had), that he hadn't left his table or even really touched the merchandise yet. And if I remember correctly he also asked the guy what would he do if the roles were reversed?
I'm thinking that the seller was so salty because he hadn't made much money that day yet. Just a guess tho. But he also didn't have a great attitude either, so I'm sure that wasn't helping to get him sales 😄😆😄

Vintage shirt transfers sell $5-30 easily and can be used on most fabric types and aren’t crunchy after a few washes.
New transfers run $2-10 each
a custom transfer shirt $18-35 and so simple to do with little upstart cost. Just need a heat press machine and cotton tees
Be a good side job you could mentor a teen on or a senior to supplement income. Or a charity to use as fundraiser

Why does Carey lie about that deal he made with coin guy? The dude never pointed to the set of coins he cried about. That was all on him . BS move on his part .
It wasn’t a lie it was a misunderstanding. He didn’t realize it until he watched it back. He knows.
Cary didn't lie. Kevin caught Cary on camera immediately after the confrontation (Which I'd like to add: Cary cannot stand stressful situations like that!) happened, so of course he's a bit over-excited. Everything was very fresh & he was still trying to process the conflict.

i watched the video and if he just grabbed all the coin sets he probably would have got them, when he asked the guy if they were included the guy saw his weakness. He should have grabbed them and if the guy said they werent included he could have said nevermind. That is what happens when you tiptoe through the tulips!
