This is the reason, I have never fully jumped into a full blown locksmith business… cost is outrageous!!…economy is another big issue.. everything is so expensive.. I am 62…my plan is to do only lock outs.. no inventory.. biggest expense is advertising… not enough people know.. great information.. thanks gentlemen #lockboss
If the van and equipment has been updated it may be a good deal. I would want to evaluate the area and definitely look at the books to justify the purchase. Another great video! #Lockboss
I like hearing your opinions on businesses, however, I am trying to self fund my own business so I will probably never look at buying another one. Maybe when I'm old and want to sell I won't be so greedy like some of these sellers, and give a younger person a cheap shot at starting up.
I agree with Pete. Unless you are actually going to be there and take full control of the location, it's not worth it. Talking with a locksmith in a nother state who wants to sell, but I don't need his local stuff. Just equipment so it's less desirable for them. #LockBoss
The LockFather could buy it and send one of his top techs over to get it on the right track and start expanding it into the automotive side. Looks like an opportunity to me…. #LockBoss
These are great to hear - I have a local retired #lockboss trying to sell me his remaining inventory - 2x key machines a couple heavily used pin kits and his key inventory that was current in the 80-90s - the machines are usable but need some TLC currently asking $3k. I'm trying to give the retired gentleman some respect but its hard to justify even 1000 for what I see almost all his inventory is slow movers the only benefit being we have lots of collector cars in my area and some blanks are hard to find he would have new old stock even still .. tough to justify love to here your thoughts on this one
